Last week, I laid out the case for the hypocrisy of the U.S. government that blocked the Keystone XL pipeline while continuing to expand their own pipelines and lifting their 40 year long oil export ban.
This week, Barack Obama visited Canada's Parliament where he revealed the degree of his hypocrisy. He praised Rachel Notley and Canada for our green energy strategy but remember that time he blocked a pipeline, citing climate change as a reason?
He praised Notley for “promoting growth” while reducing emissions, receiving wild applause for his fact-free declaration.
I guess Barack Obama missed the memo about how Alberta has gone from a “have” to a “have-not” province under Notley, who of course gave a big thumbs up in response.
Thumbs up for the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs and a 3% contraction of growth that Alberta has now realized under only one year of an NDP government?
Not to mention those record debt levels and businesses going under?
Thumbs up for driving investors away with risky policies and increased taxes?
Obama’s visit was just another display of progressive fantasy where getting pats on the back for phoney triumphs are common.
What planet are these people on?
