I watch with disbelieve the lib media to put those students on who are using this incident to push a “left” political agenda on gun control. As if any gun control laws would have made any difference in this case if only the local detachment had been consulted on this kid before hand. Not one media outlet has even asked the kids why they do not call for any alcohol or , in many a progressive’s words, “non-violent drugs” bans as they contribute to thousands of deaths annually. One single year’s death toll of those substances are more then all school shooting victim’s combined. It is this kind of political rhetoric of the left that I would call “monstrous” rather then referring to this troubled kid.

Paul Taylor… Why is it only teachers should be armed…?? All responsible citizens meeting a criteria should be allowed open or concealed carry to be in defence of themselves or their society. When seconds count the police are only minutes away… My other question is why am I allowed to defend myself inside a court of law up to and including for my own life but I cannot defend my life outside of court of law.??

Liza, we know now that there has been very serious malfeasance going on during the Obama administration in the FBI (for example, the FISA Court application fiasco based on the Trump Dossier that was revealed in the recently-declassified Nunes memo, or the so-called FBI ‘investigation’ (er, “matter”) into Hillary Clinton that was obviously rigged to make sure she wasn’t indicted) and we don’t yet know how extensive it is, but it looks like it could be much more extensive than is yet known. 50,000 FBI emails just disappear and the few that have been found and released so far indicate a “secret society” up to who knows what. A top level FBI official is said to have sat on other email evidence for a month prior to the last U.S. Presidential election before notifying then Director Comey. So I think we have every right to be suspicious when we find out that very crucial information about a potential for possible mass murder in a school is mysteriously not acted upon to prevent the crime, which then takes place. This doesn’t sound like the FBI that we knew of prior to the malfeasance that was taking place during the Obama administration. Clearly, under the Obama administration, a type of operative other than the straight shooters we knew about under previous administrations, began to populated high-up levels of the FBI, and possibly other levels as well. I saw a report today that the U.S. Justice Department under Jeff Sessions is investigating the FBI to get the bottom of this, and once that investigation is complete, we should know how bad it is. I think we and the American people will be shocked when we finally know. That is, unless the Obama deep state succeeds in drumming Trump out of office before the investigation can be completed, in which case we will probably never find out.

Ted, there seems to be a bit of that going around these days, and it makes it impossible not to entertain that explanation.
It simply seems incomprehensible that the FBI are complicit as a result of irresponsible or inept protocol. Some senior people are responsible. Responsible for what exactly,we can all speculate, but there are a lot of people who think it is something similar to your suggestion Ted. Is there something rotten in the FBI or are they really that slack? I just don’t accept that they are that slack, and I worry that they will wiggle out of this using that excuse.

The FBI had all the info they needed to stop the shooter prior to the attack, but didn’t. This is the same leftist-infiltrated FBI that has covered up the real motive of the Las Vegas shooter, who spent a lot of time in the Middle East prior to the shooting. You have to wonder if the FBI deliberately sat on the Florida info because school shootings play nicely into the leftist anti-gun-ownership agenda. Otherwise it is incomprehensible that they did.

- First responders always seem to be on the ball in these instances. After that can be questionable at times. With the mainstream media looking to build their narrative at the expense of the facts, it’s understandable that things can get confusing. CNN is fighting to make itself the face of fake news. They are not to be trusted.

- It’s because fake news outlets keep promising their fans that they now have the smoking gun that’ll bring down Trump only to have it fizzle out into nothing that they have effectively undermined their own base. They’ve become a joke.

- When you look at these games being played it’s easy to see how the government was being weaponized against the people. Lots of swamp to be drained.

- Is it just me or do these types of shooting always involve shooters that are on antidepressants? When the mainstream news outlets are so dependent on advertising from pharmaceutical companies it gives them even more incentive to make it about guns.

Post-mortem examinations restricted in scope to the examination of each particular event can provide a limited, somewhat technical analysis and related recommendations, but inevitably fall far short of identifying and dissecting the underlying cause: a recognition-obsessed society which, with increasing frequency, produces violent losers.

my bad. Not only that it was a different shooting.

CNN putting out Fake News, one of the ways the First Amendment FAILS.
For such abuse, there should be stiff penalties, lies using the First Amendment should not be tolerated. It was not created for the purpose of influencing the public, causing outrage that can lead to Civil Unrest and Rioting.

Yes you are correct..It’s for Everyday People’s protection….Man do we need a over haul on the Canadian side…

Rob Greeley and all,
Ever wonder what’s going on within the hallowed walls of the RCMP? Wherever Liberal socialists govern or rule, there is always corruption and political favor.
Unless we defeat Wynne and Trudeau ,we will never know ,will we.

The FBI screwed up two times that we know off with tip offs leading directly to Cruz ,the assailant.
The Bureau is totally screwed up at the top and it has been that way going back to the regime of Mueller.
Mueller ,Comey and McCabe are all dirty and have built a protective shield around themselves and nobody wants to talk. But sooner or later ,the dam is going to burst and it will be everybody out for themselves.
They never thought Trump would win and the cover-up started within seconds of the announcement.
Interesting times ahead.

Yep…Power to the People..Hopefully President Trump can pull it off!!! He needs all the support he can get from Everyday People around the World….

Co-incidence? The school is named for an author and activist who opposed draining swamps.

Is this a trick question? Last I checked any ammunition produced today has a faster response time than a 9-1-1 call.

Teachers should be trained and armed. That goes for Canadian teachers too.

If you want to stop a criminal, terrorist, or nut-job a cell phone won’t do it. By the time the cops get there the perp has got off a hundred rounds or more.

It’s unfortunate we have to live this way but thank the Lieberals for all the damage they do. I also advise all of you to arm yourselves because The Clown Prince TRrudeau has put you and your family in harms way.

Riddle: What has four legs and one arm? …… Answer: My Rottweiler with a Muzzie’s appendage in his mouth.

Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary, Ezra. There is a real need for the information you provide. Think of how well you would do if you had something other than the worst Comments System on the entire internet.

What could have stopped a Florida shooter?
A headmaster or teacher with a gun. At the very least would have reduced the carnage.

The shooters even with mental illness still have the aptitude to figure out schools are easy targets and their prey are defenseless children or youth.

Oh, and, the FBI could do their job when being alerted of potential danger. But of course they are too busy investigating Trump to protect Clinton and Obama.
