Rand Paul exposes waste in the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill

John CardilloRebel Host | Off The Cuff

A massive $1.3 trillion spending bill, which includes things like $51 million to subsidize international abortions, is headed to President Trump’s desk for signing, but he just might veto.

Senator Rand Paul is fired up and voted against the bill. He took to Twitter to tell us some of the ridiculously wasteful line items on which your tax dollars are being spent. I’ll tell you what they are.

Paul McCullough,

The issue for Trump supporters regarding the backlash is that they finally woke up from their slumber and realized that Trump is a liar and no different than many other politicians who promise them the world during the campaigns – but do the opposite when they are elected. They thought Trump was different and they thought wrong.

The wall is never going to be built, Obamacare will never fully be repealed, Planned Parenthood will still get their money, etc. The list is endless on why many Trump supporters won’t vote for him now in 2020 and why some will vote for a Democrat in 2018 and 2020 as a way to tell Trump and the GOP to go fuck themselves.

Robert Mcclelland,

The military has more than enough funding – even if they cut the budget in half. The military wasn’t in desperate need of anything.

If you really think about it…Trump taking the position that the bill is vetoed and remains vetoed until it suits Trump and his base is really NOT an option. The only way to pass such legislation is to give EVERY elected member who votes on it a slice of the pork from the barrel.

“Let them eat cake” does not win mid term elections and what are the Trump supporters going to do? Vote democrat as a protest vote?

It is my experience that budgets always make somebody really unhappy…never ever are found to be “good”…and are one of the first things to go down the political memory hole.

Sounds like what Trudeau, the Economic Marxist is doing in Canada. The goal is to keep the country in extreme debt and completely destroy the economy, bring the US and Canada down to 3rd World status.”

Canada and the US are not even in the same ballpark here. The projected US deficit is 1300 billion on a budget of 4300 billion, whereas Canada’s is 18b on a budget of 311b. The US deficit is thus about 70 times larger, for 9x the populatoni, or about 8x worse per-capita (although the US is more centralized and has proportionally . 30% of their spending is borrowed, vs 6% of ours. (Default reaction? lBlame Obama – he left a 600b deficit, which Trump has more than doubled).

I tend to believe Trump that this is a one-off. Trump took it on the chin in order to get badly needed funding for the military”

Trump is doing exactly what a populist does. Tax cuts are popular, entitlements are popular. He supported both. The debt can be economically ruinous, especially if he keeps picking fights with his creditors, but what he’s doing is the best way to get votes beyond a small subset of policy wonks. He just needs to get enough wall built for Breitbart to get a photo-op and write a glowing review about how great the new wall is, and that’s enough – the base wont’ fact check him.

Not Biden, he is in training for the rumble and the stumble.

It’s a crap spending bill. I find it interesting that there are people calling for Trump to be impeached for not vetoing it. Taking their cue from CNN over the last year & a half. Who is the president-in-waiting that is going to kill these spending bills? Joe Biden?

One other consideration, this should help Nancy keep her job in the House and that’s a good thing.

I tend to believe Trump that this is a one-off. Trump took it on the chin in order to get badly needed funding for the military. In addition, Rush Limbaugh is right, the RINOs made this deal in order to embarrass Trump. We’ll see if Chuck and Nancy are dancing down the isles when the IG report comes down and when Justice Kennedy retires from the Supreme Court and Trump gets another pick.

That is the only way that the Globalists can carry out their plan for the North American Union and One World Government. They can’t do that with a healthy economy and a healthy Middle Class! Good thing that President Trump is not happy with this and good for Rand Paul for speaking out against this insanity!

Drew,

Integrity? LOL. John Cardillo/The Rebel is trying to spin it – which is why Trump supporters are telling him to fuck off.

Also Fox News had no choice – there is no way to spin this for those that support Trump. He just gave Democrats what they wanted, after initially saying he would veto it. Fox News and especially Hannity polish Trump’s knob every other day though, despite his shit show Presidency.

Yes, downfall. Trump supporters are now saying they won’t vote for him in 2020 and that Democrats will win in the election this year.

Seems like you are sucking Trump’s dick too.

Bob Rock funny to see that we have integrity while you are a mindless bent over sheep you mean. Now go bend over like a good Liberal drone. Downfall LMAO! If you say so Bob. Since you are so right about this type of thing LMAO! You see FOX reports it as it is , unlike the Liberal media who are just propaganda lapdogs.

Fox News host Jesse Watters on Friday said the spending bill President Trump signed earlier in the day was “a huge defeat for the president on a signature issue.”

“It’s really really bad. There’s no way to spin it,” he said during a discussion on Fox News Channel’s “The Five.”

According to Watters, who is often a fan of Trump, the president gave up too much – including funding for his proposed border wall – in order to increase military funding in the omnibus budget deal.

“Well, I know one thing. Mexico’s not going to pay for the wall, and neither will we. Because it says there’s only going to be $1.6 billion for the wall, and you can’t even use the new concrete prototypes that [Trump] surveyed. And it’s only supposed to be for 93 miles,” Watters said. “The border is 3,000 miles, and the only fencing that is going to be done is backup fencing and repairs.”

Trump signed it and now his base is turning on him and some say they won’t vote for him in 2020.

And the downfall of Trump begins…

a trillion. budgets now a days are simply a runaway train. poor Rand and a few others[ trump not included] can not ever slow it down. in canada the same. a train with no brakes will eventually crash and i am afraid the west will implode when it happens. instead of 4 year elections[next day running to get re-elected] maybe terms should be 8 years instead and in the states get rid of term limits and let the public freely choose their best leaders as long as they want.
