When the Harper government established the Office of Religious Freedom in 2013 to protect and promote religious freedom around the world and to speak out on behalf religious minorities abroad, it was not without controversy.
Religious freedom is a fundamental freedom and it’s one Canada can take a leadership role in protecting, but there are some troubling signals coming from the government right now suggesting that they might do away with it.
