List of “most politically-incorrect rock songs” even raises Menzoid's eyebrows — but leaves off his “favourite” tune

The website Ultimate Classic Rock surveyed a number of rock songs from the past and put together a list of those with lyrics that would likely never make it to vinyl today due to political correctness.

The list includes some of the biggest names in rock history and is both surprising and revealing.

I take pride in being politically incorrect, but even I have to admit I found myself raising an eyebrow at some of the lyrics.

It’s too long to analyze in its entirety, but watch as I share some of highlights (or are they lowlights?).

Ample food for thought is provided in a review of the lyrical content of yesteryear’s pop music, but there is an irony here when one looks at the rap music of today with its liberal use of the N-word and anything that rhymes with “mother F’er”.

Those lyrics are as vile as it gets, yet songs from this genre seem to get a free pass.

Janie Jones: Who specifically is a “little faggot”? Tammie was citing Dire Straits. So, in your profound opinion, is the whole band, Dire Straits, a “little faggot”? In which case, you make no sense whatsoever; however, reading your comment, it is likely that lacking sense is a common affliction for you.
Are you actually referring to the lead of Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler? And, if so, how exactly do you know he is a “little faggot”? Where is your proof?
And what is wrong with being a millionaire? Are you jealous or what?

Nothing of any value ever comes out of political correctness. Rap will get a pass because it’s considered “black”. It will be attacked as soon as it’s attacked by someone higher up on the ladder of victimhood.

One in a Million by Guns n Roses has to be the best song ever written.

Political Correctness is insanity rolled up in a ball of hypocrisy. You cannot actually be politically correct all around since it does not allow you to apply the ideology equally.

Some classic rock stations have dropped or censor Dire Straits “Money for Nothing”.

I’m sure Mack the Knife will be banned in England because it might inspire a person from one of those politically sensitive religions to go out and stab people. Of course maybe the words could be changed to Ban the Knife sung by the first ever you know what elected Mayor of London .
