On Energy East, “politics” trumps “science”: Trudeau always finds new ways to say “NO”

Brian LilleyArchive

For all the Liberal talk during the election about how important it is to consider “the science”, the fact is politics trumps science every time when it comes to the oil industry and their pet issue  of “climate change”.

After adding conditions and making changes to the National Energy Board approval process, Justin shows his real agenda for the oil industry in his contradictory answers and non-answers on the question of pipelines.

Even progressive Mayor Nenshi expresses frustration with Trudeau’s seeming lack of concern for the industry’s need for certainty.

Or, it could be that the Liberals will continue to try to find a way to say “No”, adjusting their answers or non-answers as required?

Stupidity trumps science and ideology for these two “leaders”.

I have little faith that Energy East, or any other resource project that requires Federal approval will be approved by the current government. I also fear that western succession will rear its ugly head and become a real issue in the years ahead.
We are also faced with the potential for Keystone to be quickly approved in a year or so in the U.S., and then quashed in Ottawa. Things are not looking good at all.

Not just politics trumping science, but leftist ideology trumps science.

Deborah. It’s OK. Everybody knows you meant mayor.
Good posts everybody, especially Justin’s Diary, always makes me laugh.

I have no idea what Trudashian said in answer to Rick Bell’s question because I was laughing too hard.

It’s time to divide Canada permanently. Let’s wait to see if MB finally does the right thing, and turfs those NDP commies. Then we can take Manitoba to BC. Let the welfare bums eat cake in Eastern Canada, preferable by the St Lawrence, when Montreal’s major fills it with sewage. They should have thrown him in with it.

no pipelines will get done, all the Liberal parties, know it, and we are wasting words and type believing that some kinds of assessment is going to make a difference…this world is run by greentards who have nothing but comtempt for anything carbon, other then themselves…

This slime ball, stuttering idiot can’t answer a question at anytime. It’s not that he won’t answer, it’s that he can’t answer. Butthead did not give him the OK to answer it.
Notely is just awestruck being so close to this awesome stud with the beautiful hair or is it heir, it looked like she was having an orgasm listening to this dickhead.
Albertan and Canada will never benefit with this empty headed POS in power.

Our PM reminds me of pinocchio when trying to answer a question about pipelines. He always finds ways to dance around the question, but can never give a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

How can any of those people look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night. Horrible excuses for human beings.

Brian, unfortunately I believe you are right. The Arab advisers to Justin are working to ensure Canada is not a competitor for Middle East oil.

Look at the stupid looks on Junior and Nutley’s faces. These are leaders? They couldn’t lead their way out of a wet paper bag. I too will vote for the west to separate!

As for Health Minister, Sarah Hoffman, she’s thinking about a dinner buffet featuring of deep-fried Mars bars.

I look at this picture and am reminded of a line Jeff Goldblum had in Jurassic Park. " That’s one big pile of shit."
Knowing the money was already earmarked for Alberta by Prime Minister Harper and hearing what Jr. said while here makes me want to puke. Also every time he flashes that smug look I just want to drive my fist into his face :)

JT don’t know what to do. “Why do they keep asking me stuff?” he’s thinking. “Oh, yeah,” he reminds himself. “I’m just a sock puppet.” As for Notley, see how she’s mastered the deer-in-the-headlights look. Her blank stare just proves she’s even more clueless about her future than she was last week. Of course, she’s trying to think up even more cabinet positions – that’s a big caucus to feed. Can a whole caucus be in the Cabinet? She’s going to try and see.

I genuinely hope Trudeau and his family die in a plane crash soon.
commented 2016-02-04 14:12:35 -0500
He blew Nutly off with some chump change that had already been earmarked for Alberta by the Harper government, and gave poor lip service to Albertans. Wake up people, it’s long past time for Alberta to become independent, and put a stop to being robed blind and destroyed by the east.
commented 2016-02-04 14:03:32 -0500
Trudeau’s response (or lack thereof) is shameful. Obfuscation taken to a new level.

February 4, 2016
Dear Diary;
Had a pretty good photo-op session in Alberta with Notley. I told her that I’d get $700 million to her tout de suite. I may not have mentioned to her, or the media, that the money was already allocated to Alberta for infrastructure by Stevie. It’s diddly-squat when compared to the mess she’s got herself into, but it’s not like she fawns over me in the way she should. In any event we can tick that one off Gerry, I’ve now saved Alberta.
What about Uncle Suzuki? Isn’t he a prince? I don’t know if his memory is failing him now, but I think he’s attempted this noble effort a few years ago. His latest encyclical is to have Harper “thrown in jail for his wilful blindness”, again. God love the man, he’s losing his memory but his heart is in the right place.
Back before I was elected Dear Leader the two of us had a good old chinwag. I was asking him for an endorsement and he said I was already “all over the map” on climate change (he nailed it), and that he didn’t “need to listen to sanctimonious crap” (who does?). Oh, and then he called me a “twerp”, which I think means that I stick my ass out and shake it when I’m dancing (I didn’t think he was paying attention to that because we all know that he prefers the young girls at John Abbott College). The whole thing was a hoot.
Anyway, unfortunately he’s a dying breed, not like the goofballs who stupidly and mistakenly hold the notion that science is never settled, or like the crazy kooks who say that we should question everything. Harper reminds me of that other moron, Galileo, who tried talking gobbledegook to another real great scientific leader, Pope what’s-his-name. If house arrest after that was good enough for Galileo, it’s sure good enough for Stevie.
Note to Rebels; yes, of course hundreds of us all flew to Paris in big jets to talk about the weather changing. Only fools and idiots would risk falling off the edge of the world by sailing there.

lying liberal says what?
Here is the bottom line, there are going to be no pipeline approvals, new or existing. Albertan’s need to look after Alberta and simply forget about zoolander and the laruentian liberal elitist cabal. Western separation is the ONLY path toward a future for Alberta. The path we are on now ONLY leads to the western provinces ending up like the impoverished ottawa indentured maritimes.

It’s almost grotesque listening to stutter boy talk anymore.
He just say a whole lot of nothing.
