Ontario business’s $160K hydro bill exposes Wynne’s costly green scheme

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

An outrageous example of a hydro bill coming out of Ontario from a manufacturing company shows just how bad Liberal policies are for business.

The company was charged $107,698 for the green energy levy alone when they only used $13,060 worth of actual energy, as part of what is called the “global energy adjustment.”

In addition to that, delivery and regulatory fees were close to $18,000 of the total bill which was over $160,000.

In Ontario, the government agreed to pay green energy companies above market rates which results in billions of dollars in payments passed on to citizens and businesses as a result of bad government decisions.

And now, as of January 1st, Ontario businesses pay cap and trade prices for allowances on emissions, plus extra costs for fuel and natural gas.

Under these green energy schemes that serve to line the government’s pockets, businesses won’t be going anywhere but under when they’ll have to close their doors due to the costs Liberals impose on anything they possibly can.

The Ontario government continues to implement these detrimental cap and trade polices claiming they’re necessary to save the environment but it’s more like Wynne is kneecapping businesses and trade.

Wow, Corky, this is quite the enlightened note below, I will bet the rural Ontarians can’t get rid of this witch wynne-bag like we might here in Alberta if the right don’t unite soon.

@roy G

Why arent people protesting??? Because the vast majority of Ontarians are now bought and paid for sheep who willingly support their own demise!!!

How many of the people that are currently facing energy poverty voted for Kathleen Wynnes corrupt liberals??? The dipshits of Ontario had ample evidence of scandals, increased taxes and debt. Hydro rates were on the rise during the last provincial election, but Ontarians still decided to support Wynne with a majority!!

The is now an overwhelming sense of entitlement that is drowning Ontario! It is now more lucrative to drop out of high school and become a welfare loser, have a few kids and live off of the vast social/welfare handouts that are never ending!!! Ontario is quietly implementing a pilot program for “gaurenteed income”. Individuals will now receive a minimum welfare cheque from the government for $17,000 a year and call it “gaurenteed income”. Two “income” earners can now make $34,000 TAX FREE for doing NOTHING!!! Then, if they want more money, they simply have to have a couple of kids that will gaurentee them another $6500 per child… TAX FREE!!!

You literally dont have to do a gawd damn thing in Canada anymore and you can live quite comfortably off of the plethora of government handouts.

Where is the incentive to work hard anymore??? This is a premeditated and systematic agenda to slowly force the populous to completely rely on the government for everything. Those currently gorging at this socialist trough will fight tooth and nail to keep their gravy train flowing!! There are simply too many municipal, provincial and federal employees and welfare recipients!

Wynne could cancel all the green energy contracts without penalty if she wished. Patrick Brown already has said he will cancel the green energy contracts as well as cap and trade. The solution to high hydro rates is not costly rebates but cancelling costly green energy contracts. Only buy green energy as needed at whatever the going rate is not 10X the going rate.

We should walk on Queen’s Park AND refuse to pay our electricity bills.

If man made global warming is a hoax, there is no need to conserve.
commented 2017-01-15 23:45:21 -0500
The high prices are designed to make us all conserve, but the truth is, there just isn’t that much saving to do, and I don’t hear any concrete suggestions for Wynn, Trudon’t, Nutley or any others!

Why is it that the people from ontariowe are NOT PROTESTING in huge amounts in front of their legislature about these unbelievable power rates? This insanity with these excessive rates must be put in politicians faces every single day, there should be no let on them at all. 14 million people live in ontario and we haven’t heard boo, or at least hardly any push back. BNN, the screeched Laflamme on ctv, as-kisser mansbridge are certainly not letting the rest of Canada KNOW ABOUT THESE OUTRAGEOUS RATES. Shame this wynne-bag gets away with this thievery and we are not aware.

I think we should phase out welfare provinces!

Don Page said, "So little boy Trudeau wants to phase out the oilsands in Alberta. "

That’s okay. Alberta wants to “phase out” Trudeau, but on a much shorter time line … much, much shorter.
commented 2017-01-15 14:54:31 -0500
So little boy Trudeau wants to phase out the oilsands in Alberta. How about we phase out all manufacturing in Ontario and Quebec and begin buying our vehicles etc. from the US and other countries. With the power demand reduced they should be able to reduce costs for these areas, oh wait there won’t be anyone left to make demands for power as they will have followed the jobs, the same as this idiot expects for Alberta.

All these liberal politicians should be put on a boat and floated out to sea and then sunk.
Those that make it back to shore would then be judged guilty and shot.
A bit like witches were treated in the good old days!

The Toronto Sun site has an excellent on Kathy Katula, the single mom and grandmom who confronted the young Dauphin in Peterborough over high energy costs in Ontario. Everyone should read this. She pays $900.00 for rent but pays $1,200.00 for hydro. Whhaaaaaat?

Many business people will be looking to move south of the border after getting hit like that. The Liberal plan was counting on a Hillary win. In which case the same tax and grab policy would have been enacted south of the border. As that never happened, there is still someplace else to go besides “under”. Into the waiting arms of Trump.

“Incompetence”, Holly?
Well the result is certainly as vicious and damaging as a ‘knee-capping’, but I would use different words to describe or explain it.
How about connivance, or criminality, or treason!?
commented 2017-01-15 12:28:56 -0500
Prepare for a hit 4X the punishment over the next 15 years because they are only getting started. The green planet Wynne is determined to pass to her grand kids looks like it could have a out of this world delivery charge !!! or is that a global adjustment?
commented 2017-01-15 12:19:37 -0500
KJ’s point is credible & they have been doing since it got out emissions were not going down right after they had changed the tune on green jobs. Facility spending was mostly to hook up the new gas plants ,replacements & green backup plus the high cost of integrating intermittent stuff to the grid. Distribution upgrades may suggest work on the lines to customers but in this case most was spent on securing supply in the face of a surplus. Bad as this looks, the ice storm helped from making it worse.

Well that bad little boy Junior snuck out the bedroom window and went AWOL. He went off to party with billionaire and some of his Liberal buddies on a posh Bahama isle. When he got back things did not go well for the little tater tot. He got grounded by the folks and couldn’t go to Davos to party with all his globalist buddies at their annual group hug. Now he has to drive along the 401 going into common coffee shops, basements and Canadian Legions while enduring complaints from single moms who can’t afford to heat their homes. Oh the shame of it.

I thought when this news first came to light; there must have been a mistake on the bill.
How can any company balance their books and continue at that rate?
Wynne and Trudope are nuts!

Only a retard or a heartless corrupt pig would think this is a good thing.

Liberals, lefties, New democrats, PC…………….they are all the same now. As Ron Voss mentioned below, the passive acceptance if all this BS is the greatest tragedy. WHAT can we do???

Roy Jeanine:
You make a very good point which should be brought to the foreground again: Soros etc influence on our election.
I had posted that perhaps, just perhaps, Soros was the culprit who hired the Brit spy. The news stated it was someone who opposed the Republicans who hired him to get dirt on Trump.
The townhall meetings demonstrated how ‘it’ gets a charge out of controlling people and creating tension and chaos.
We are in quicksand.
Now if Kevin O’Leary wants to run for Ontario Premier, I might consider it (never PM though).

I get new business from Ontario all the time – reason is always the same, their local supplier/contractor either shut down or moved – electricity is a cost of doing business it effects your ROI and High energy cost are chasing 3000 jobs a month south or off shore.

The mismanagement of the utility resource in that province is criminal.

I also want to point out the liberals in the US are saying that Russia interfered in the US election. Funny how this is already being swept under the carpet that "THE UN, SOROS, ROCKAFELLAR FOUNDATION, TIDES FOUNDATION, OBAMA’S TEAM, SAUDI ARABIA, all Interfered in our Canadian federal election over a year to get this useless piece of garbage Trudoop elected, but nothing is said about this. This is how we are STUCK with this wasteful, lying muslim trudoop. And I am also very ticked Harper didn’t use his majority to get rid of damn cbc and the non-taxed UNION dues. I still can’t believe he didn’t touch these two huge wasteful things.

This country Canada, Alberta and ontariowe are in dismal form. Nutley, wynne-bag and trudope are by far the worst so-called leaders ever to be at the helm. My God, how in the world do we ever get out of this mess. As Deborah pointed below, these evil traitors like nutley, wynne-bag and trudope are bent on destroying our way of life and they have no problem doing so. They all know we can’t touch them till election time. Their globalists dictators are guiding them and our oilsands is their primary target. Soros who has met with this useless piece of garbage trudoop and the UN are making huge inroads quickly to accomplish their goals with the demise of our beautiful country and province.
