Oops! Hotel receipt links Notley NDP staffer to environmental lobbyists at government meeting

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

We do boring things at the Rebel so you don’t have to. One of those boring things we do is combing through the expense reports of government bureaucrats. Sometimes we find nothing, sometimes we strike gold.

We found an interesting hotel receipt in the expense reports of Brent Dancey. He’s the Chief of Staff to Environment Minister Shannon Phillips with a violent past who was imported from Manitoba to run the ministry. The receipt in question, at worst raises some serious suspicions and at best, reveals the media bias when dealing with the NDP.

Brent Dancey was booked into his hotel as part of a group from the left wing activist Pembina Institute when attending meetings with Minister Phillips in Calgary last July. Now, this could just be a front desk mistake, or it could be that we can’t tell where the government ends and the left wing lobby groups begin anymore. Maybe it’s both.

What is certain is that we would see a far different reaction from the media and the NDP if the Wildrose Party had a staffer booked into a hotel as part of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Darryl, thanks for your welcomed comment, but unfortunately we are not young and bold as you are. Good for you to push against these idiots. Bridge cleared today, but had to argue with these county idiots for an hour trying to convince them, there was NO, NO WATER FLOWING UNDER THE BRIDGE. Finally brought a backhoe to the bridge, and after 2 hours they couldn’t clear the of the ice. So they had to bring a steamer in to open it up. YA, SURE, THE WATER WAS FLOWING UNDER. NOT, WHAT A BUNCH OF USELESS IDIOTS. CAN’T EVEN TELL WHEN THERE NO WATER FLOWING UNDER A BRIDGE. AND TO THINK WE PAY THEM LOTS.

Roy Jeanine Had a similar situation told them to bad as I was not waiting for them to do something. They were not to impressed and told me I could not, laughed at them and told him to watch me and I was not waiting for them. Funny how fast they can get off there ass when you do things yourself. Smaller issue than yours but don’t wait on them do it yourself.

My story, in my county, the bridge on our road is entirely frozen solid. We have a huge backwater on our property. 14 feet deep in lots of places, 1/4 mile long, 100 feet across and we are entirely full. The water comes to the bridge, turns around and comes all our way instead of flowing UNDER THE BRIDGE as it should. Phoned the useless county all day trying to get them to either bring a steamer in or a backhoe but no response all day. Finally ticked and extremely stressed, I went and talked to the head guy and he said uncaring, they would be here tomorrow am. I said not good enough, we will be flooded by then. Uncaring and arrogant, he brushed me off by saying we have OTHER PRIOTRIES. I was so mad I told him MORE PRIOTRIES THAN SOMEONE GETTING FLOODED. HE SAID WE WILL BE THERE TOMORROW AM. I HAPPEN TO LOOK OUT THEIR WINDOWS, AND GUESS WHERE THE STEAMER IS – IN THE COUNTY’S YARD DOING SOMETHING THERE. You see the county just cleared about 30 acres around their huge offices and it was all swamp around, brought in huge amount of fill and there are numerous amount of contractors working there. Also they were suppose to resurface our road and I was told last week, the county NO LONGER HAS ANY MONEY FOR IT. I AM SO MAD I COULD SPIT. The money is ALL GOING TO DO THE WORK AT THE COUNTIES SIGHT, IT’S ALL ABOUT THEM, THE ENTITLED, THE WASTERS, PRIVILEGED AND ARROGANT GOVERNMENTS.

Can’t wait for the NDP to get voted out. Hope anyone that voted for them in the first place realize what a huge mistake that was.

NDP Sucks – I was raised to help those in need, and I too help where I can. It really is better to give than to receive!

NDP Sucks – Albertans are very generous even when we’re down on our luck! Helping out our neighbours is part and parcel of the spirit of AB.

Deborah. I love it out here and donate money all over the place. Not tootin my own horn, I just do it because its needed and I have some spare coin.

No I am not in the energy minister riding. My MLA is one of the young puppets.

After I posted that statement I asked my wife how much money was raised at the hockey game and she said 15,000 dollars.

That’s why she cries about not doing her job for the constituents…teacher pension topped by college admin pension, now a Crown Minister payout in 2020. How can we not sympathize with her lack of concern for constituents. That will affect her bottom line.

Are you in the Energy Minister’s riding? Sounds familiar.

NDP Sucks – The NDP are certainly good at shunning and shutting out the public. That warmed my heart about nobody standing for the NDP MLA! The true spirit of Albertans is still here, and waiting to get rid of this NDP cancer. I’m praying that we can withstand the further assault on capitalism that’s coming. God bless us, one and all!

NDP sucks, that’s a good story about the MLA, lol. It reminds me of the time at McMann stadium after the floods, when Redford went on stage and the whole crowd boo’ed her and when she introduced Harper the crowd went wild with applause and cheers……. funny stuff…….

I live in a NDP riding. I went to church this past Easter Sunday. The assistant pastor started his sermon with two slides to portray the situation we are currently in and two slides of our hope of salvation. The first slide appeared and it was a flattering picture of our dear leader Justin Trudeau. I was at the very back row and looked around. I could see the reaction from many people and they looked away from the screen and were shaking their head and nervously moving around. The next slide was a picture of Rachel Notley with the NDP logo. This time I heard rumblings of dissent from the crowd. The assistant pastor knew he was going to get this negative reaction because nobody expected to see the mug shot of these two individuals.
About 3 months ago I went to a fund raiser hockey game to help a guy who has a rare form of cancer. One team was the Edmonton Oiler alumni and guys like Craig McTavish, Ryan Smyth played. The MC made several announcements before the game started and the final announcement came just prior to dropping the puck. Standing on the ice with several other individuals was our beloved MLA from the NDP. The MC asked the crowd to stand up and clap for our MLA. Well, not one person out of the 250 plus crowd stood up. There was an embarrassing 5 or 10 seconds of silence and then the MC said fine, be like that and carried on. I said to my wife loud enough for many to hear that if I knew that individual was going to be here I would have brought some eggs.
Overall, it was a good night but damn cold on the feet. There was Oiler stuff for sale near the canteen and other cash donations. The total amount raised for the guy with cancer was around 6000 bucks.

That lovely little pig (above) is smarter than all the NDP combined

True Peter. More just wishful thinking on my part but still a beautiful thought.

Another gotcha.

Story remains the same – Notley and its crew are in an all out war with Alberta.

Defend yourself Alberta in anyway you can.

No corruption in the Non-Democratic Party. Never has been, never will be. They are good little people beyond reproach. You cannot criticize them.

Because if you do criticize them, Brent Dancey will beat you up.

P G, I am not so sure about that. They will probably still hold a few in Redmonton where they live in their own socialist bubble. However, I doubt they will ever hold government after the next election … which cannot come soon enough for me.

After April 19 Nothead will have a big bunch of N.D.P.shit heads from help her finish Alberta off, they will have their asses shot off by the voters in the looks of it.
commented 2016-03-31 16:17:27 -0400
At this rate they’ll never hold a single seat here again. And that’s a beautiful thing!
