Oregon rancher standoff: Hammond family are "inspiring" "punk rock rebels"

Gavin McInnesArchive

I don't understand why people aren't more excited about the standoff in Oregon, pitting ranchers against the federal government.

If the Hammond family looked like the Black Panthers, everyone would be getting tattoos of them right now.

Why does everyone have to look "cool" for leftists to support them? Why was it cool when Indians occupied Alcatraz but this isn't?

I'll explain the real story behind this so-called "militia" stand off, as opposed to what the rest of the media has told you.

The federal government stole this land from this family during Teddy Roosevelt's time then harassed them for years. They went to prison, served their time, and then were put back in prison due to some twisted legalistic b.s.

They've finally had enough.

But what about them setting a fire? I explain that too, as well as their connection to the Bundys.

The bigger story is that the government has made it illegal for many Americans to live on their own land, or do pretty much anything else.

Terrence you ignorant cuck… you have no idea what you’re talking about. What the Bundy’s are doing is entirely lawful and is precisely what George Washington and the rest of the founding fathers had in mind when they founded America and bequeathed Americans with the legal right to bear arms in defiance of tyranny. If only Canada had been founded by men as great as those. Instead, our garbage Charter was drafted by a bisexual Quebecker who had no respect for himself or his country. And now his sexually confused and functionally retarded son is running the country. So we’re fucked. The best we can hope for is that Trump annexes English Canada and builds a wall around Quebec (and makes Newfoundland pay for it, they owe us for all the EI they collect.) The Bundy’s are going to win this battle and Trump is going to win the Presidential election. Have faith Dan Mancuso! Oh and Terrence, I almost forgot… fuck you.

Fair enough Kelvin & I did check out the Santilli website, he (like most of these type of sites) has an agenda, I knew you would just broadstroke the Canadian rights, Harper had this country for 10 years & his Government was secretive, they signed trade deals without consultation, sold us out to foreign countries (for example the Wheat board was sold to Saudi Arabia for 2 billion dollars so now the price of wheat is determined by a foreign state ) they put all our eggs in a basket (oil) that we don’t even own…

While I agree we should hold our Governments accountable we can’t be anarchists….

If you don’t know what and how many rights of yours have been eroded over the years I feel sorry for you. And yes Gods laws come first over anything man decides to proclaim as law. All to many times this argument comes up to debate on this website and it just ends up as tedious and tiresome so let’s just agree to disagree and save ourselves a lot of typing. I won’t change your opinion and you won’t change mine. I will try to encourage you to checkout that Santilli site on YouTube for a different perspective

Sorry Kelvin but you’re wrong, the Hammonds broke the law, case closed, these people are putting their own families in danger over a fight that isn’t theirs, the Hammonds have publicly stated that the Bundy protesters don’t speak for them, the town doesn’t want them there, the Sheriff has asked them to leave, no one has threatened them with violence but they (Jon Ritzheimer) have, this is ridiculous, I have no idea what rights have been diminished in Canada but I’m sure you’re going to tell me..

BTW, there is no such thing as "God given rights’, Man writes the laws, not God…

Terrence, there is a lot to this story that goes back quite awhile ago. From corruption in the courts to flooding other ranchers grazing permits forcing them to sell , it’s quite a long list, suffice it to say that there are a lot of people fed up with the now US federal government taking land that doesn’t belong to them. The blm and the department of interior have been running ruff shod over ranchers for far to long and some of the fines being implemented are unconstitutional. Obama is trying to rewrite it as we speak. Such as we in Canada are going through and have been going through since Trudeau Sr. was in power. Our rights as citizens have been diminished exponentially even in the last 16 years since 2000. And in my 60 years in this country it’s even 10 fold. Whether you think these people are nuts or not,it is within their God given rights to protest not governmental rights, and I for one applaud them for that.
commented 2016-01-10 16:26:11 -0500
Kelvin, these people are crazy, they have little to no support, they’re bringing their families there, I mean WTF???

The sheriff has asked you leave peacefully, there has been no combative talk by any of the authorities only by the protesters, “We’re not letting anyone beyond this point” & than they state “it’s a free land & anyone can go there” talk about contradicting themselves…
commented 2016-01-10 15:22:34 -0500
Check out Pete Santilli on YouTube and you’ll find out the real story. A lot of information you could be there all day.

Closer to home, it’s about time to organize regulated militias that adhere to the Magna Carta instead of the " charter of no rights and no freedoms" that Trudeau’s commie dad bought us.
commented 2016-01-10 13:55:29 -0500
You’re praising idiots that are anarchists; these people hate America, hate the President, it’s been Federal land since 1908 & now all of a sudden there’s an issue???
commented 2016-01-10 13:09:12 -0500
I wish we had a few bureaucrats who stood up against oppression in our government.

Evidence has been found that the BLM started the fire to force the Hammonds off of their ranch

I get posts every day from one of the patriots in the wildlife reserve building…they are winning the BLM is backing off

This event in Oregon is an example of the heroism that a few men are ready to rise to.

Bearded hipsters, regardless of how much flannel they wear, cannot hope to be at the level of independent masculinity that these brave patriots are demonstrating.

The last time this happen, the Feds ran for their lives. Of course, none of these pencil-pushers signed on to give their lives for Obama’s mercurial whims; so, more power to them.

I see more and more people getting behind these true patriots against the corrupt and insane government that seeks to oppress them.

What makes me lose hope are all the apathetic people who so complacently accept the Media Party lies and BS, AND self righteously strike out in ignorance at those who don’t…especially on an issue that is so very important and fundamental to freedom and liberty as the one the Bundys and friends are so courageously fighting.
I’ll trade you an Alex Jones for a Last Refuge:
I have been posting Bundy Ranch emails and alerts on my FB page since spring 2014…
I have that same pamphlet – The Constitution of the United States – at hand at my computer station. It has the Constitution, the Amendments and the Declaration of Independence in it. I got it on a dollar sale from WND, it’s getting well worn…
commented 2016-01-09 15:20:30 -0500
Joe, your comment is so far out of the realm is nearly impossible to comprehend “the Kenyan Criminal” “They should have stood up to the BLM thugs???”

The Hammonds don’t want the support, the township wants them to leave, the protest is falling apart…
commented 2016-01-09 13:47:55 -0500
Gavin, I call this article a great one by you. No, wait, it’s a brilliant calling-down of stupid F-upped liberals in government.

Know what peeves me? That the Hammond men surrendered to go to prison! They should have stood up to the BLM thugs. Even the judges in that state are corrupt to the depth of their assholes. Well, it doesn’t help any that Americans still have that illegal Kenyon criminal staining the White house for eight years.

I followed this at Canada Free Press and then at Conservative Tree House for the full details. This is mob rule by government, as they are testing the waters to see what they can get away with. On the farm where I grew up, we would have got the firearms out and held watch for Anything Stupid Coming Our Way, like government vehicles full of goons.
commented 2016-01-09 12:37:31 -0500
They broke the law, what Gavin doesn’t mention is what they tried to hide, they tried to hide the overkill of deer, they started the fire to remove evidence but the fire got out of control, case closed. The Bundy’s didn’t ‘win’ anything, they still owe the taxpayers of America millions of dollars.

Now what if it were the BLM movement or a Native group, do you honestly think for an instant that something wouldn’t have been done by now?
This farce is already starting to fall apart, Jon Ritzheimer (Armed Mosque prayer service protester & all around idiot) is there & has issues with other protesters, one of which took donations, went into town, got a hotel room & room service, the town’s people have asked them to leave, the Hammond’s lawyers have stated that the Bundy’s don’t speak for them, the Native tribe that has claim to the land wants them out, the only people that don’t understand it are the protesters…

Nnaumbua Farrell commented – “Does anyone know if there is any crowd funding for the Hammonds”

Before we all jump on the “free the Hammonds” band waggon there is more to learn of the whole story. The Hammonds are not as squeeky clean as the Bundys as victims of big brother – there is some history of landowner over step with Steve Hammond shooting at hunters and running uncontrolled fires, however, the penalties are insane for the regulations broken and the Feds really are salivating to get their land – there is no doubt this Fed legal oppression is focused at backing them into a financial corner in which they will have to sell land to get out of the jam.

Feds are thugs in thought and action – tread carefully you would-be autocrats

Dan Mancuso,

Thank you for posting that interview. It was highly enlightening. Ammon Bundy is George fucking Washington right now. Dan, you said you are “not hopeful.” You should have more hope. This ain’t Mr. Bundy’s first rodeo. The Bundy’s stood up to the feds in their own land battle… AND THEY WON. Watch Alex Jones break it down for you as only he can…

Gavin McInnes is right… the Bundy’s are ROCKSTARS right now. You are seeing history being written right before your very eyes. As Alex Jones likes to say… what a great time to be alive. This is PRECISELY what the founding fathers were worried about when they drafted the Constitution. I love how Mr. Bundy has it right in his left breast pocket like it;s his badge of authority, because it is. I love how he shut down that reporter who tried to imply the Hammonds are against the occupation… OF COURSE the prosecutor tried to use threats to influence the elder Hammond, but the media won’t tell you that. Congratulations to Mr. Bundy for handling the media like Donald Trump. What a hero. And I loved it when John Pratt SHAMED the media scum on hand and challenged them to examine their own hearts to figure out WHY they are there. Also loved how he had a Tebow moment right there at the end of his speech. Godless liberal media scum HATE praying. It’s like garlic to vampires. Stand your ground Mr. Bundy and Mr. Pratt. You men are God’s right hand right now. God bless.

Does anyone know if there is any crowd funding for the Hammonds to cover their $400,000 fines and an appeal of their conviction if possible?
commented 2016-01-08 14:30:02 -0500
I don’t have a problem with armed protest, but I read that the fire was to cover up some poaching done with other family members present. Apparently, they testified in court. Cannot confirm.

The issue is with government overreach. The problem is you cannot gain public sympathy when the government plays the environment card. The militia is using injustice toward this farmer as a basis for their protest, but that isn’t the problem. The problem is laws where it is possible for two entities to rightfully believe they own or are entitled to something. They may be being harsh with sentencing, but he was convicted of something that was clear. A battle must have a pure motivation and be chosen wisely.

The Hammonds have repeatedly refused to support the militia. The battle must be fought, but not now, not there. Educate yourself, organise people and change the laws, that’s how the left gets what they want.

The FBI just scrambled the signal for cell service in the area, so the whole area went dark, nobody is aloud to broadcast from there at this time, very ominous

It’s coming to a forestry permit and public land grazing lease near you, in Alberta. Organize yourselves into militias in your areas in order to stop the ndp from taking control over public land and most importantly PRIVATE LAND. I have been talking to land owners in my area, and to everyone of them they said that they will NEVER give in to bill 6. They will need your help when the government sends their goons. Show this communist government that they will never be welcomed on private property.
Socialists live to make rules to control the population, show these assholes that rules are made to be broken.

Thank you Gavin and THEREBEL for fairly airing this story. It’s been an uphill battle since the spring of 2012 to even get the story out.
BILL ELDER: the other and more plausible reason is Agenda 21, and more importantly how that has already been set up in Canada – see Notley’s NDP criminality in Alberta…as just one example.
The shit is coming down, the fascists are escalating the lawlessness in all Western countries, and all the Media Party and delusional useful-idiots are onside with the robot programing…
Today Burns Lake Oregon is at the center of this shit storm and only time will tell which way this goes – I’m not hopeful…

The bullying of the Bundys in Nevada and now these folks in Oregon bogels the mind at the pettiness and vindictiveness of the Federal agencies.

Yup, and don’t forget Ruby Ridge and Waco. There was also a case in California a few years ago where a guy owned 100 acres next to one of their parks. They wanted his land to expand their park and he wouldn’t sell. So they claimed he was growing pot on his land. It went to court and they lost because they didn’t have any evidence. After that a plane buzzed his place one until he came out of his house and he was shot dead from the plane. They then tried to go after the property again, but his family was fighting it in court to stop them. I never did hear what the outcome was.

The NDP is not communist! It is a social Democratic Party that was lovingly elected to office last year.

The way they’re going they’ll be lovingly shot before the year is out, like the communist scum they are.
