Oscars snub female directors: Cue Hollywood outrage

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

The nominations for the 2019 Academy Awards were announced yesterday, and frankly, there weren’t many surprises.

Everyone expected Black Panther to get a few nods, even if its politics are a bit… confused… I liked First Man more than a lot of conservatives did, and it deserves whatever Oscar attention it's received.

However, there is one category that will have Hollywood’s #MeToo feminists riled up.

WATCH to see my take on this.

Can hardly wait to see how many ignore the Oscars for the third year in a row…

Craig James i concur. Sadly some people think they actually mean anything other than Hollywood celebrating and rewarding itself.

Sadly, Hollywood used to have great actors and the movies carried good, moral messages. I grew up with movies as an important part of my interest in the arts, as well as ballet, opera and live theatre and used to love watching the Oscars.
Some actors like Steve Carell (who is Catholic, by the way), can be depended on to give a good performance because they use their conscience to guide them.
Now I just tune in to see who died. I’ve reached that point of ‘reading obituaries’!

Here’s a movie to watch for: “Unplanned” the story of Abbey Johnson a former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life. Amazing story and it tells the truth of what happens behind the scenes, in PP, not the movies.
