Watch all of Faith Goldy's reports from Ottawa after the latest honour killing

A Canadian Muslim man is being charged with stabbing his two sisters to death.

Musab A-Noor faces charges of first and second-degree murder after police found the bodies of his sisters Asma A-Noor, 32, and Nasiba A-Noor, 29, in their Ottawa co-op home.

While police have yet to determine a motive, the mainstream media is rushing to declare "mental illness" is a factor in the double homicide.

Given Canada's disturbing history of honour-based violence, including the horrifying case of the four murdered Shafia girls, The Rebel knew decided to send Faith Goldy to Ottawa to ask the questions the mainstream media won't.

Look folks, you have to be (a) honest, and (b) open. Otherwise you’re no different than the Other Side.

In this case, the accused person DOES have a history of mental illness.
And yes, he is a Muslim.
Yes he is accused of killing his sisters.
And yes, it might be an “honour killing”

It seems that mental illness is a real problem in the Islamic world.

I wonder, does that mean Islam attracts the mentally ill, or that being a Muslim leads to mental illness. It can’t be a race issue, because Islam isn’t a race. I can’t see it being inbreeding because Muslims appear to breed like crazy and one would think it would only enlarge their gene pool.

Of course, it ‘could’ have something to do with the brainwashing oops ‘Quranic Study’ that is such an integral part of their upbringing and education. In some (most) majority Muslim nations, the Quran is the ONLY book they’re allowed to read.

I’m leaning toward it being the fact that Islam is a brainwashing personally cult. A death cult that is intolerant and inciteful of murderous violence at any real or (primarily) imagined slight, where any sign of offense means you should run, quickly, before you hear those two angry words that indicate death and/or mutilation is near…

‘Allah Ackbar!’

@jamie MacMaster….well then all that is required to prevent this sort of thing is to throw the butterfly net over Musab and get Bruno to ram the meds down his throat. It is very strange the" Jihad rabbies" is treated with councelling from an Islamic Imam….but the treatment is nothing like a Roman Catholic exorcism.

If it is in fact mental illness then under provisions of the Mental Health Act….sufferers of “Jihad rabbies” can be held indefinately on Lieutenant Governor’s warrants until they have been treated, cured , and are deemed on the certification of a commitee of mental health experts to no longer be a threat to themselves or others.

Jamie….the “he is crazy” card was addressed with legal remedy long before you were born….and when used in a journalism context…..clearly qualifies as FALSE NEWS

SUE and PETER.

Don’t be silly. Could it be an “Honour Killing”? Absolutely!
But t doesn’t change the fact that the accused person does have a history of mental illness.

Yah, Jamie, He’s a Muslim…nuff said.

@ Jamie – Oh, well then. I guess all his murder is forgiven, then.

The label “mental illness” is doled out by psychologists with far too much alacrity. It just gives the “mentally ill” to do what they want and get away with it. People have to start taking responsibility for their actions, “mentally ill” or not.

I spoke with Ottawa Citizen reporter Gary Dimmock earlier today. The accused in this case, Musab A-Noor, DOES have a history of mental illness.
