Ottawa police are warning the public to call 911 if they see Mustafa Ahmed, wanted for second-degree murder in the shooting of a 33-year-old at Sentral Night Club.
Ahmed is described by police as being 5’11”, 141 lbs, slender build with black long wavy hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.
According to The Ottawa Sun, at around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, it is believed that Ahmed shot Omar Rashid-Ghader multiple times. Rashid-Ghader was an original member of the south-end Ledbury-Banff Crips.
Ahmed is known to police and has been arrested before. In 2009 he was charged alongside Mohamed Farouk Ahmed and Adil Omer, after an investigation into the 2009 gangland homicide of Daniel Valladares. Ahmed pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking offences.
In 2008, he was charged after a drug bust in Calgary in which Ottawa street gangs went west.
