Professor: Overpopulation doesn't cause climate change

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, University of Toronto professor Pierre Desrochers joined me to talk about his new book, Population Bombed! Exploding the Link Between Overpopulation and Climate Change:

Devise your own scorecard.
Our soils are strip mined –
Our forests are being leveled-
Our Rivers and Aquifers are being drained-
Oceans are acidifying-
Fisheries are decimated-
Every cubic and square mile of land, air, and waterway are polluted-
We are exterminating massive numbers of animals at unprecedented rates-
Are we not overshooting the Earth’s carrying capacity for humanity?
If you can put aside aside your instinctive aversion to discussing overpopulation whether for religious, political, economic or cultural beliefs and actually measure the above objectively and understand the inextricable link to fossil energy and our explosive growth and study our provable reserves, you will then understand the predicament we are in and the sooner we get to a sustainable population level voluntarily, the less we and the rest of earth’s creatures will suffer.

The population hoax is humbug, absolute humbug. Why haven’t we eaten all the food? Because we find ways to produce more than enough. But why are some folks starving in Africa and Asia? Because of their stupid religions and governments.

Interesting point about innovation and how capitalism gave us unparalleled wealth. This is something NEVER taught in today’s schools. The hatemongers want to get kids to hate the very system that gives them smart phones and plenty of food. We should ALL comment on this to Facebook and the other social platforms.

Post below should have said re Asia’s population,"Every year the population of ASIA increases by 40 to 50 million new people, that is every year a Country is made, double the size of Australia.

JENNIFER FOOTMAN….Your post is pure common sense. I believe Ezra’s Professor friend has started indulging in Trudeau’s Grass if he doesn’t think double the population means anything.
AS THE RANCHER SAID, “WHEN YOUR HERD IS LARGER THAN YOUR PASTURE YOUR ANIMALS DIE.”

YEAR POPULATION

1500 500 MILLION

1900 1.6 BILLION

1950 2.5 BILLION

1980 4.5 BILLION

2000 6.1 BILLION

2017 7.5 BILLION

2100 11.8 BILLION

Every year the population of ASIA increases by 40 to 50 million new people, that is every year a Country is made, the size of Australia.

AFRICA is much worse, but abortion is unpopular.
No matter who you talk to, this is unsustainable. The only solution is TEMPORARY STERILIZATION OF ALL 12 YEAR OLD GIRLS in these areas, until they have the right conditions to reproduce.

The population control theory has gone BANANAS in my municipality.
Bylaw No. 392, section 51.1, ” Except for bird feeders, no person shall provide any wildlife with food either directly or by leaving or placing in, on or about land or premises any food, food waste, or other material that is or is likely to be attractive to wildlife for the purpose of feeding those animals.” Further, section 54 of this bylay reads, “Any person who contravenes this Bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 and the cost of prosecution. Every day during which there is an infraction of this Bylaw shall constitute a separate offence.”
Those nuts banned bees from flowers. Snakes from gardens. Spiders from windowsills. Even a mosquito from your arm.
I have no property rights what so ever in BC. Even with a quote “freehold”. I’m f**king livid.
This is how frigging far eco-facism goes. Fight it now or else you’ll have to live in a condensed, plantless cage to avoid the rights of the Queen’s game.
Bastards can kiss my a$$. I DARE them to enforce this upon me. I’ll fight it every step of the way legally.
Take your lessons now.

Oh boy.
I think the Proff is right BECAUSE we’ve jammed more people into urban areas than ever before. Most people were rural throughout history.
They had huge swaths of land (least the rich did) and there are businesses that thrive off valuable garbage.
Processed food is actually less dense than actual food so a resource is more spread out.
If you look at the destruction in developing countries, you can see the way most people have lived in the past. Then you can complain about the environment all you want. It just proves the proff right.

The prof. is a bonehead. Anyone with a grade education would probably question that theory. Trudeau’s new world teachers and very ‘liberal’ with the b.s. at that.

Professor: “Overpopulation doesn’t causing climate change”

This professor should visit places like: India, bangladesh, pakistan, china, philippines, nigeria, sudan and other such countries to assess whether his conclusions are correct.

Universities are centers of self-satisfied elite.
Of course, ten people use more cars, roads, roads, food, hospitals, schools and housing than five do.
How can he say overpopulation does not cause climate change? Only an idiot would say that. More people need more services.
They then say we don’t replace our population and that our population is getting older.
But we import people with no skills who have to be supported by these same ailing elders who are getting fewer and fewer. What garbage!

Fifty years on and Marvin is sill starving, billions spent and siphoned off by the dictators and war lords.
We have replanted more forest in Canada in one summer season than these third world shit holes have planted in fifty years.
It seems to work something like this, plant a fruit tree every year.

After three years the first tree begins to produce fruit. The second and third are not producing yet.
Then the pennies on the dollar funding that actually reaches the people runs out.
Rather than get the ladder to reach the top of the tree, they cut it down to get all the fruit.
No more foreign aid so,
Stop watering and caring for the other two trees as they are not producing anything, cut them down for fire wood.
