For a so-called 'prophet', Muhammad's skin must have been anything but thick.
As the Daily Mail reports, “ Pakistani man has been sentenced to death for making a derogatory remark about the Prophet Mohammad in a Facebook post.”
Ironically, it was a counter-terrorism court that sentenced 30-year-old Taimoor Raza to death for posting blasphemous content online. This is also the first time anyone has been given the death penalty for blasphemous social media content.
Last year, 5 people, 10 Muslims and five non-Muslims, were arrested on blasphemy charges, according to a report issued by the independent rights group Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
Under Pakistan's laws, anyone who insults Islam, Allah or other religious personalities can be sentenced to death.
