Paris "needs a slap in the face"

Gavin McInnesArchive

I'm reporting from the makeshift memorial near the Bataclan concert hall in Paris where almost 100 people were killed by Muslim terrorists on November 13.

Not enough people are pointing out that this Jewish owned theatre had been the target of anti-Israel BDS protests for years.

I've said before that this was also an attack on hipsters. The Bataclan is in the city's equivalent of Brooklyn. I think the terrorists were hoping to provoke the city's young professionals into become right wingers, but as we've seen, Paris didn't take the bait.

The people Ezra and I spoke to are too encumbered with capitulation. They blame terrorism on America and the Jews, to the point where ISIS is getting annoyed that Islam isn't getting credit!

This trip has been depressing, because no one here is angry. They certainly aren't talking about -- God forbid -- letting people arm themselves.

It's time for irrational hatred.

It's time for vehement patriotism.

This city needs a slap in the face.

Apparently it was Jewish owned… The Jewish owner sold the place…

Not sure what good that would do as they have just had a kick in the a$$ and that has got them nowhere.

Sadly it seems like America needs a slap in the face as well!

CHRIS MALLORY there is no peace to be had. Go ahead and be a useful idiot for islam if you like. Islam is a death cult plain and simple.

Gavin, if C Hebdo and these attacks are not enough of a slap in the face to shock them into realities they are comatose as a nation/culture.

They’re in the same comatose state as when Hitler marched in and owned Paris – and they got used to that too and would have resigned themselves to fascist tyranny (look up Vichy government here) as they have to the current self destructive socialism. If the allies had not freed them they would still be happily fascist. All they care about is hedonistic comfort and their social entitlements.

Past history shows that the Muslims get to play the victim card because they are on the losing end. Lets hope history repeats.

Chris, a piece of advice. Ignore the touchy feely propagandist sound bytes of today’s media, research the religions for yourself and do a proper comparison. Then compare it with what is actually going on TODAY not hundreds of years or more ago. Your posts come across as extremely naïve and very ill-informed. Educate yourself before opening your mouth.

It is most certainly the Islamic State!
commented 2015-11-19 10:02:22 -0500
Communism is responsable for more deaths than all other religions combined. The numbers are not even close. To say that Christians have killed more than all other religions sounds like pointing fingers to me. We know what the ideology behind the evil we face today and Christianity is not the problem!

Saying that I agree Gavin falls flat would be a stretch! not everthing he comes up with is gold but I do enjoy the majority of his work.

these ass clowns blog the same thing – I guess when you work for the CBC you can afford to spew hate at websites that don’t get $1B a year in welfare.

You can only slap Paris in the face after their 3 hour lunch break.
commented 2015-11-19 07:34:53 -0500
No Brad, that’s not what Andrew said, stop putting words into ppls mouths. Pretending a single opinion piece is the same as a complete news channel is a pretty pathetic attempt at equivalency. Tricking yourself with equivalency huh? You do understand that’s suggests psychiatric problems – right?
commented 2015-11-19 07:27:10 -0500
Well Donnie n Linda – why don’t you give us your assessment rather than just criticizing. Anyone can do that. . . .
commented 2015-11-19 07:25:21 -0500
So you are basically saying that these people have become so warped that they do not understand the people who attacked them are the highest benchmark for evil & attacked them for being hedonists attending a Jewish establishment. They really are far removed from cognizant reasoning above that of the Amoeba. Oh look there is a light ,lets go back into the dark sort of reasoners.

So, we agree that McInnes and the CBC are no different: both have pretensions but they fall flat on their faces.
commented 2015-11-18 23:54:42 -0500
Nobody said you had to like him or the work that he does. I dont like the CBC and they just take my money, dont even have the decency to give me the option of whether I pay for it or not.

Well, he did interview Mercedes Carrera, doing an interview with a porn star (Excuse me…adult entertainer.) does give him a bit of edge. But Howard Stern has been interviewing porn stars for decades – just schtick has got so old.

And people have to buy a subscription to this? Conservations about cooking and dogs? McInnes isn’t even trying to not fall on his face.
commented 2015-11-18 23:30:38 -0500

Okay, so he has a kind of job. Videoblog, podcast, are those even jobs? I guess they are, because you can’t call them journalism.

Okay, so it’s apparent that McInnes isn’t a low-rent Alex Jones. He’s more like a low-rent Joe Rogan. But Rogan is actually informed, thoughtful, insightful, and has interesting guests on his show…podcast, videocast, whatever. Looks like McInnes has a long way to go before is becomes as good as Rogan. He needs a better agent.

1981, Islamic Movement in the West:
“an organized struggle to change the existing society into an Islamic society based on the Quo’an and Sunna and make Islam, which is a code for entire life, supreme and dominant, especially in socio-political spheres.’

Under Islamic Law Muslims are duty bound to convert the world to Islam through jihad.
Muslim Brotherhood: “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”

“I also believe that if taken literally the Quran is not a book that preaches a religion that can exist in a world with other religions” “I am not sure if you watched the clip…”

It is meant to be read literally, it is commanded. When headlines read “Islamic Terrorist Attack” its not a “terrorist” attack, they are simply following the Quran’s later dictates as they are suppose to. The word “terrorist” is a progressive invention. If it wasn’t called that just imagine the uproar it would cause in western countries. There are statistics on line about numbers and co-living peacefully in different countries. Once the number reach a certain level the aggression starts. It is not a religion as we westerners understand “religion”, it cannot co-exist in harmony with other religions.

I’ve seen that clip some time ago. Came across it by accident when I was looking for a particular interview of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Her books should be read.

BRAD WHITCOMB, is that the best you can come up with? Are people not allowed to give their views? Last time I looked we have a free society, where people can express their views. You, it seems, dont want that. You are sadder than those pathetic sheeple in Paris.

Oh, and yes, you have every right to spew garbage which you call your opinion. I would never want to stop you. So, please carry on.
