PEI lieutenant governor pick raises more Liberal cronyism concerns

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Prince Edward Island is getting a new Lieutenant governor. Antoinette Perry has deep roots in PEI, hailing from Tignish.

She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years, local church organist and a local historian.

But she's also the president of a PEI Liberal party riding association.

I know PEI is small, but couldn't the Liberals find someone without so many close links to them to be the non-partisan Queen’s representative?

Lieutenant governors are appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister and it's the PM’s job to make sure there isn’t even a whiff of partisanship.

But in this and other instances, it looks like the PMO is rewarding loyal Liberals with prestigious appointments.

As long as Trudeau is in charge, Conservatives need not apply.

Grandiosity is a symptom experienced by people with bipolar disorder during manic and hypomanic episodes. People experiencing grandiosity often describe larger-than-life feelings of superiority. In short, it is an exaggerated sense of one’s importance, power, knowledge or identity, which often has religious overtones.

Leave it to degenerate globalists to cover their criminality by hiring a “a church lady” as a vice regal to cover their foul trail of perfidy.

Now you know why the Liberals were at 3% to bad the 39% that voted for them didn’t know that. Is anyone surprised ?
And Mark E 1 would have been to many .

Great to see the rebel cover stories from Prince Edward Island.

“. In Canada the word is pronounced “leftenant” not “lootenant”.”
Yup, bugs me too, LEN. Just like the use of honor guard instead of guard of honour.

Although the piece is very relevant it irritated me greatly at the pronunciation of one word. Unfortunately that word appeared a multitude of times.
Sheila, please do not take offence as I value your reporting and comments very much. In Canada the word is pronounced “leftenant” not “lootenant”. It’s kinda like “zee” and “zed”. There, nuff said.

A whiff of partisanship? I’ve smelled less foul hog barns and manure spreaders.

By taking advantage of filling a position that doesn’t create policy, I guess our little fascist dik-tater-tot thinks for once he can be seen to be fair by not appointing a member of the 7th century death cult, that was founded by a pedophile and is operated by savages.

Mark Edwards, I’m waiting for you to post the answer to your own question…be specific and please cite sources.

How many Liberals did Stephen Harper appoint to various posts? I’ll wait.

Separate note: I still believe that LGs and GGs should be elected and not appointed. Both are ceremonial roles representing Canadians or Provincial citizens and I would like a say as to who ceremonially represents my country and province to the world. But then, I support a 3E Senate as well…so unicorn mated with Pegasus reality wise.

I still think the prize for overt partisan cronyism in appointing an L-G goes to Chrétien when he appointed Bud Olsen in AB. But to be fair, he did follow that appointment with Lois Hole, and Martin followed that appointment with The Chinese Clipper, best running back ever. But Olsen did take the cake as the most partisan appointment, who even interfered with elected government legislation.

Shrug. Governor General. Lieutenant Governor. Such a sad, uninspired lot over the years. Haven’t had a worthwhile representative since Michener and Vanier. In Ontario, the last LG worth his salt was Lincoln Alexander.

Let’s just call Canada Scamada until we can get rid of these Liberal crooks cheats and scoundrels .
