I'm in Nanaimo BC to see if locals will take up the call to engage in civil disobedience to stop Albertan oil from making its way to the Pacific.
Nanaimo is only the second riding in the country to elect a federal Green Party candidate, and the expansion of the TransMountain Pipeline to the shores of the Pacific is a hot topic.
It's already suspicious that Trudeau would re-approve the pipeline when he needs green voters, and legal challenged have been filed by several First Nations groups in British Columbia demanding a rework of the proposal.
At the same time, various hippies have raised an alarm about the poor killer whales who will be disturbed by the extra ocean traffic resulting from the tankers shipping out the oil.
So let's see what the people of Nanaimo have to say.
