Pipeline opponent Notley now promoting Canadian oil & gas (GUEST: Robbie Picard)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley is heading out on a five city, cross country tour to promote Canadian oil and gas.

She's going to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa to sell an idea she has long opposed: ethical oil.

Is Notley really serious about her conversion to fossil fuel advocacy after a lifetime of protesting them and two straight years of adding regulatory roadblocks to the struggling oil and gas industry?

Or is this all just insincere lip service and the first act in her 2019 re-election campaign?

Joining me tonight to discuss pipeline politics and what it means to be a small time pro oil sands activist fighting the well funded, foreign backed environmental movement is Robbie Picard from Oilsands Strong.

MP asking a question about Notley’s stance on pipelines, gets told he is a sexist mansplainer by both the Premier and the deputy government house leader. I have never been more embarrassed for my sex. What a shameful display from these two women.
How about ‘hepeating’ what the hell? I cannot believe what comes out of Notley’s mouth. She makes a mockery of her position. These ‘politicians’ are a joke.

The money train has departed Canada for Iran and other countries . Good luck trying to get it back to business friendly Alberta Canada . Don’t think anyone taking her seriously .

Notley probably gets a kickback from the Laurentian transfer payments, which should be abolished.

Iain Foulds – How about “Energy Traitor Barbie.”

… Rachel Notley. You mean Energy Barbie?

Name me something socialists have touched that they haven’t destroyed?

The revenues are dwindling & Notley has no choice but to go along with it. A hardliner against fossil fuel does not become a fan of it overnight, which is what Notley has become. The 2019 election also plays a big part. I hope Albertans are intelligent enough not to fall for this charade.
Deborah G. If that is what happened in the mayor’s election, there should be outrage & protesting happening. Corruption has no place in our democracy. We too have a Liberal Mayor in Winnipeg who has his priorities all screwd up.

- Notley clearly thinks the voters are stupid. If she thinks she has any chance of getting reelected, she’s the one who’s stupid. She is working on getting Alberta out of paying for the rest of the country through transfer payments – unfortunately it’s by doing what the Ontario Liberals did by making the province into a have-not province. Great to hear from Robbie Picard again – I remember his video. The carbon footprint is just for the little people to worry about, not the entitled elite.

Loved the show Sheila…more,more, more.

Hey people, Mark Twain once said “If voting mattered, they wouldn’t let us do it”
Perhaps he was right!
If you really get what you vote for, then I guess only lefties are voting.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that the election process has been infiltrated? How convenient that they are running out of ballots 3-hours before the polls close? They already know who the eligible voters are. This is unacceptable, and targeted just as the most voters will cast their votes. My plan and hopefully others will be to vote in an advanced poll because they are intentionally thwarting democracy by not printing enough ballots for all eligilbe voters. We are stuck for another 4-years with that loud mouthed Nenshi. What a disgrace!
Maybe Sheila can do a story on our election processes, and let us know who’s in charge, because I’ve lost all confidence in our democratic process. And I don’t for a minute believe that Nenshi would have won if everyone was allowed a vote. Something is wrong, and I believe we are being played by those who have hijacked democracy!

This is a PR move only. Notley has to appear that she’s for the pipelines because she’s facing off with Jason Kenney. The NDP are using tax payer dollars to campaign. Don’t forget the by-election has to be called within 6-7 months, so this move is setting the stage for that. You can’t believe anything communists say, and everything they do is to maintain an illusion that they care about the people. Don’t forget all the names Rachel has labelled Albertans. I know I won’t forget, and I won’t forget the devastation that she has caused in Alberta.

Does anybody in Alberta – outside of the “useful idiots” in Edmonton of course – really believe that Flush Notley really knows what the hell she is doing from one day to the next??….

William Elder good point, there may be even more ramifications from the Saudi purge.

Robbie is a bit of a car chase of an interview but he ends up being spot on with every point he makes. We need leaders who believe in all the views Robbie talks about. His desire for the wealth of native peoples AND the rest of Canada. His desire for the best environmental standards while at the same time developing what we have as a natural resource is smart, reasonable and realistic. I can’t believe we are having to battle so hard to develop what we have been given naturally because of the environmental dogma paid for by the climate mania machine. What the hell is a green job anyway? Way to let Robbie run with this one Sheila. He was on fire.

Nutley must think people are stupid enough to believe this load of crap that’s spewing out of her socialist mouth . If she had two brain cells one cell would die from loneliness ! She has done more damage to Alberta than anybody could even have thought possible in just 2 1/2 years . Between her and little dictator I don’t know who won the bet on who could destroy Alberta the quickest . The sooner we kick these losers to the curb the sooner we can repair the damage done . You can’t fix stupid but at least we can vote it out !

Her one and only mission is to sell her crock of shit to enough undecided people to get her reelected again and then it’s for more years of poverty and Third World status not only in Alberta but Canada as well because Alberta is the countries last economic engine.

And people keep forgetting that it’s not just gas and oil but we must get rid of those wind turbines and we cannot use acres and acres of number one farmland to soak up sun like a California raisin to replace our cheap and efficient coal fired generators to provide Albertans with affordable electricity while not producing food for the market or the masses.. The “lest we forget” should apply to the NDP communists as well as the bolshevik communists that our brave soldiers fought against over the last hundred years.

Here is a post from Notley’s facebook page from yesterday. It doesn’t look like promotion of oil and pipelines to me! “Climate change is a clear and present danger.” Sounds like she is getting ready to spend a crap load of money on some experiment.

This morning I spoke at SPARK 2017, a clean technology conference focused on finding ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate growth of Alberta’s bioeconomy.
This conference itself arose from the recognition of two basic truths: that climate change is a clear and present danger and that, in a more competitive energy market, Alberta must innovate and diversify our economy to remain successful.

Our government has a comprehensive and coordinated strategy to position Alberta to compete and win in today’s economy – through climate leadership, innovation and support for business to diversify our economy.
We are far along the path toward diversification and economic recovery, and that path doesn’t take shortcuts over our environment or our future.

Notley never heard that all the King’s horses and all the King’s Men couldn’t put Humpty together again.
This is a totally cynical public relations effort to make a pretence that “she cares”.
I hope and pray she doesn’t win one seat in the next election .

A little over the top and a little too late..!!
We need to stay focused then find someone who loves western canada 🇨🇦 more than they love their career to replace Kenny before he forgets where he is and starts his slow motion Alberta ruination for profit scheme.!!

I’ll say one ting for degenerate communists like Notley, they know which way the funding pipeline flows – and now that the Saudi money funding anti-North American oil industry protest groups has evaporated in the recent purge of globalist subverters in that country, she smells the funding winds shifting to points south.
