Political polarization a result of humankind “reaching puberty”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

On this week's episode of The Gunn Show, Dutch filmmaker Marijn Poels joined me to discuss his new documentary Paradogma that examines the current state of extreme political polarization.

Marin explained that his goal was to prove that people with opposing political beliefs can still cooperate and communicate, despite the example set by politicians and the media.

He believes that the current crisis of polarization is a result of humanity reaching a form of "puberty".

WATCH our discussion to see how the left is reacting to his project.

Liberty does need heretics.
There’s no liberty in belonging to a political clique and taking on board without the least degree of critical analysis its orthodoxies and dogmas.
Of course, if you are one of those rare individuals who does not ascribe uncritically and whole-heartedly at all times to the prevailing dogmas of the political group with which you feel broadly in sympathy (see my Blog entry “Paradoxes” at rabbiedeoir.com), you will be denounced from within the group as a traitor, whilst still suffering all the vituperation that grouping’s political enemies cast its way.
In other words, free-thinkers cannot win: if your own side does n’t get you, the other side will.
