Poll: Customers say media don’t care about facts

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, I shared the results of a credible poll done in the U.S. that asks the general public what they think of journalists and then asks the same question of journalists themselves, providing a very revealing comparison.

By every measure, it shows the media and the public they are supposed to serve, at odds in their assessment of the product delivered.

Watch as I show you how journalists do in the eyes of their customers, versus how they do in their own eyes.

Al Peterson,

No – I have something that is going to prove me right about you. Like I said, the hammer is going to drop. Coming Monday for sure.

So, Jimmy, thats all you’ve got? No cogent argument so resort to brownshirt tactics.

Al Peterson,

You seem to have a problem understanding the concept of a person ultimately deciding to withhold information for a later date despite their initial intent. That doesn’t make them a liar. That means they changed their mind.
commented 2018-12-11 01:11:37 -0500
So you lied about the other day, then? Can I come out from under that bed now since you’ve been lying about whatever this is for 4 days now?
commented 2018-12-10 14:01:54 -0500
Al Peterson,

No, it means that I purposively decided to withhold the information for a later date for my own entertainment.

But you said it was 3 days ago and it wasn’t. That means you are a false prophet or a liar or both. . Oh, and I’m not sweating. I have a sweater on and the heat turned up.

Al Peterson,

No, it means I am enjoying watching you sweat over what it could be.

I did, but I am enjoying the build up for what is going to be fantastic.

Whether or not it can be viewed now is irrelevant. if you don’t like it as reporting, take it up with Merriam-Webster, Churchill. All the evidence in the world is lost to your contrarian gainsaying.

Al Peterson,

It didn’t report and I admitted nothing of the sort. It posted a cell phone video with no description or what would qualify as a report, since the video can no longer be watched.

Victor’s link or what you can a report is completely useless now.

Keep digging yourself into an even deeper hole. It’s working out great for me.
commented 2018-12-06 13:47:14 -0500
But you claimed that The Rebel doesn’t report. Thank you for admitting that it does.

That fact remains that at least the Rebel covered the significant event with what it had available while it took CTV- with all their resources- 2 weeks to get around to it. It was non-reporting of any kind for two weeks, Hence the accuracy of the Headline of this article. People don’t trust the MSM and it’s things like this that cause them not to.
commented 2018-12-06 00:05:52 -0500

Yes that link below is actual reporting vs. the bullshit you tried to pass off as reporting.
commented 2018-12-06 00:04:51 -0500
Al Peterson,

Victor just grabbed one of the MANY YouTube cell phone videos of that day and posted it with no more effort made on any level.

Fine, take journalism out of it – but that sure as shit isn’t a “report” as you clearly stated and don’t pretend like you weren’t trying to make more out of it compared to what The Rebel actually did.

Again, Victor was too lazy to even include a description of the video and provide further information, in case the video didn’t load for some people or they were at work and couldn’t watch the video. Most media sources will give a description of the video in some detail or an actual report in addition showing the video.

The Rebel did not do that here. There was no report. They put up a YouTube video and left it at that. Why don’t you just admit that you should have said that The Rebel linked a cell phone video from YouTube. If you said what they actually did instead of saying that The Rebel did a report, which is incorrect on every level – I would have been perfectly with it.

“The Rebel linked to a video on May 29th”.

Cool. Nothing to debate IF you said that.

By the way, Sherlock, why does it matter if its “random” ? You repeat that word as though it is the sine qua non of evil and sinister matters.
commented 2018-12-05 22:54:22 -0500
Churchill, you Leties sure get your knickers in a know about “journalism” these days.

Here is what Merriam-Webster says:

Definition of journalism
1a : the collection and editing of news for presentation through the media
b : the public press

Did Victor collect news? He sure did. Did he edit it? Somewhat, but since, as we used to say in the Real Estate business- times of the essence- it was minimal but on the other hand not much editing was necessary. It was simply showing people what was going on on London. Was it a public press. Yup. Open to anyone who wanted to view it. It isn’t need some self-important pompous ass explaining the obvious. Anyone with 2 functioning brain cells could figure what was happening. Most of the time I prefer raw footage instead of spin.

What the Rebel did was bring the event to people’s attention because the CTV and Global and CBC sure weren’t going to. It didn’t fit the narrative- you remember the narrative, don’t you? You know, the BS spun by CNN to mislead people? And you mock The Rebel.

In the end the CTV did nothing different they simply did it through a more expensive and archaic system.

Here, again, is Merriam Webster on “Report”:

1a : to give an account of : RELATE
b : to describe as being in a specified state
“reported him much improved”
2a : to serve as carrier of (a message) : to prepare or present an account of for broadcast : to announce the presence, arrival, or sighting of

1a : to give an account : TELL
: to act in the capacity of a reporter

"Report"like many words in the English language has a very wide semantic range. But Victor did most of these things and certainly enough of them to be called a “report”. You seem to think a report has to have a man on the street yapping about something, ’Taint so.

Debating with you is like playing Wac-a-Mole. You pound down one inane objection and another one pops up. You wack it down and another one pops up. Eventually the same mole pops up again ad infinitum.

Repeating a lie and over does not turn it not a truth even thought you and Goebbels think so:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” The unanswered question remains. Why do you want to believe and promulgate lies? Why this visceral hatred of The Rebel? Perhaps because The Rebel puts a breach in the leftist media monopoly that ensures the brainwashing of the citizenry and prevents the heralding of the socialist new age.

Sunny ways, Churchill.

Al Peterson,

Victor put up a random cell phone video that was not associated with any news source given that the account no longer exists along with the video.

There are tons of videos about Tommy Robsinson that anyone can see on You Tube, but you think because The Rebel spent two seconds linking to a YouTube cell phone video – this qualifies as journalism on any level? You are easily impressed, which makes sense given how much of a mindless Rebel sheep you are.

AP is huge and used worldwide by countless media sources. They are also highly respected for their newswire serves, but in your world – it’s not a good as shitty cell phone video and nothing else. Victor was too lazy to even give a description of the video and provide further information just in case someone was unable to watch The Rebel.

This statement isn’t accurate on any level: “Here is The Rebel’s report from Victor Lazlo”. There was no “report”.

He tossed up a video like someone posting a cell phone video from a Taylor Swift concert. Does that qualify as a music review in your world?
