Always copy first before you try to save and refresh.
I feel your pain Dan, it is annoying as heck.
commented 2018-03-02 11:53:23 -0500
Dan, please e-mail Ezra and Eitan Gilboord directly; not sure if this will get a response or not, but, it’s worth a try. Maybe take a couple of minutes to enjoy the beauty of the lake, and pour a coffee, and compose a summary of your experience and a request for a reply.
Like you, some of my comments ended up in a black hole after spending quite a bit of time typing them up and attaching links…very frustrating indeed.

I haven’t lost any comments today and that’s why I sound so calm…. not making light of your frustration. Keep posting please.

Your &$ site #)+(?@ up another one of my comments again!
So I went out on the deck and yelled at the lake for an hour to vent my frustration…before writing the rest of this.
If you were trying to make this site hard to navigate, you couldn’t have made it more onerous.
The other ‘problems’ with this site have been ongoing for months, now – without a word of explanation – and without any seeming action to resolve it.
Fans and patrons have made inquiries, in the comments section, about the problems…and not a word of explanation has been forthcoming.
This is wrong.
The worst thing for me about this is, it casts your honesty and integrity as a journalist in a bad light…because you have been silent about this problem!
What else is one to think…
I don’t know which is the stronger emotion right now, disappointment or anger! That is because THEREBEL isn’t just yours anymore – the people have found a voice at THEREBEL and feel it belongs to them. Patron or fan. Don’t fuck it up!

Menzoid, cudos for asking the question about the Media Party bullying of the Ford Nation!
You’re the man, Menzoid.
Go Doug Ford!
-
I have a hypothetical scenario question:
What if…every riding outside of the GTA voted Doug Ford into the office of provincial premiere, and every riding in the GTA voted for Wynne.
The vast majority of Ontario – – The space that the trolls take up on the site is off-putting, their content, offensive and destructive. – vote for Doug, while the GTA votes for the same old crap

commented 2018-03-01 23:14:30 -0500
Andrew Stephenson—I’m afraid your analysis is right on, unless almost everyone is unsure about the top two and at the last minute go 75% Ford.

Doug Ford will be a clown show and daily entertainment. Mark my words if he wins and I will certainly remind everyone here with the inevitable constant fuck ups.

I have NEVER heard a politician state how the media is running the country and he won’t bow to them, until now. I’ve been complaining about it for years. You can tell when Rob Ford says that, that he means it deep down. He says it with a quiet confidence that you know just won’t be shaken. He hates them and won’t be bullied by them, but rather, will call them out. He’s exactly what we need. And he’s being very measured in his tone and his comments. He’s matured, he’s ready! Fingers crossed.

Doug will win the leadership race according to a new poll by CP24. Doug has a 5 point lead on Elliott so add another 10 points on that liberal spin. (1700 polled) "

The ratios seem fairly consistent, Ford and Elliot essentially tiet at 35 apiece, Mulroney trailing at about 20, and Granic at about 10.

Run through the runoffs,
1st: as above.
2nd: Granic eliminated, according to another pollster her supporters went 50-50 for Ford or Elliot in second round. E: 40 F: 40: M: 20
3rd: Mulroney out. Her votes apparently almost entirely go to Elliot E: 55 F:45.

Not quite as lengthy as the process that nominated Scheer (who was well behind Bernier until the last ballot), but same idea. Second choice matters.

Vini stop the bull shit name calling it get old quick . That’s all you got . If we don’t agree we are racists bigots what ever . Liberal name calling . Remember Nazis . Grow up .

There is one think you can count on with Vincent/James/Jack/Jimmy duh Silva is that whatever he says, the opposite is true. He IS consistently wrong.

Way to go, Vincent/James/Jack/Jimmy duh Silva, you are good at at least one thing.
commented 2018-03-01 18:50:52 -0500
Its a lot less work to call people you don’t agree with racist etc, than make a comment of any substance on topic. You need to work on that Vinny.
commented 2018-03-01 18:48:38 -0500
Your constant usage of those lies have made them powerless.
You have to learn to stop with the obvious projection, it seems to be like a nervous tic with you.
So transparent.
commented 2018-03-01 16:31:40 -0500
Well then stop being racist, a bigot and homophobic and making such comments on here, Liza.

Pretty simple.
commented 2018-03-01 16:29:39 -0500
What I like about Ford is that he understands the difference between baking more pie and dividing up the finite pie. He sounds pretty definite about the carbon tax and how it will finish off an already ailing province if brought in. Just the mention of another tax has already chased business away.
commented 2018-03-01 16:08:17 -0500
It is very ignorant and offensive to equate people of faith with “racism, bigotry and hatred”. It is a tactic over used by the left , and only serves to high light their own moral bankruptcy. Grow up Vinny.

Martin, it would do my heart good as well to see my province of birth climb out of the crap hole its in due to abysmal leadership.

He hasn’t cured you from your racism, bigotry and hatred – not to mention all the other churchies here.

LIZA ROSIE, totally agree with you, our kids should be able to go wherever they see fit in this beautiful land we call home. I just wish that my little grandsons will still have a beautiful Canada to enjoy and call home. I am afraid for them because of the abomination we have as a PM, who is hell bent on destroying our Canada.
But you are right, if Doug Ford succeeds and wins the election at least Ontario will be saved and I will once again be able to think of it as my home province.
I also believe that if Doug Ford wins we will be seeing the beginning of the end of the lefties and the Liberal party, as I believe we are witnessing the end of the Democrats and lefties in the USA under the best president they have had since Regan.

VINCENT CASSINI, God bless you and your insanity. You can be cured of your insanity and foul mouth if you only ask the Father above.

Toronto Sun.

LOL.

You are all sheep.

Trump is a complete shit show. Do you actually believe that he is a successful President? Oh wait, look who I am talking to – you don’t care about facts and the debunking of Trump’s supposed accomplishments. You read bullshit blogs that have no basis in fact.

As Kevin O’Leary just said on CTV NewsNet, “There is excitement once again in Ontario Politics.”
I like Elliott, however she can be compared to a bullet that is just starting to loose speed and become a spent bullet.
Mulroney -definitely not ready
Allen
-Great potential in years to come, but do I smell a Feminist?
Ford—- Menzoid was worried about Northern Ontario accepting a Center of the Universe Toronto guy. Doug answered that problem. He has the excess energy to make all Ontario Great Again.

“…..tells you what you want to hear, but doesn’t actually know how to implement it.”
Where have we heard that before, oh yeah from another successful businessman.
commented 2018-03-01 13:58:56 -0500
Don’t want to hijack topic of Ford, but one quick question. So I need someone to help me with this. Elliot says if she loses the leadership contest she will still run in the provincial election. So there is no respect for the choice put forth by the party. Okay, seems ignorant to me, but if that is how it works, what is stopping another conservative from running against Scheer in the Federal election? Perhaps Bernier? Or are the rules different federally?
commented 2018-03-01 13:53:35 -0500
Did you watch the debate Liza – Elliott handed Ford his ass with his claims on how to save money and generate money. It makes no sense to a person with a brain, which she has and you seem to lack. Ford tells you what you want to hear, but doesn’t actually know how to implement it. Someone like you loving Ford is the reason not to vote for him.
commented 2018-03-01 13:43:24 -0500
The left seem incapable of understanding the difference between Tax incentives which really means reasonable tax rates, and corporate welfare. The concept could not be more simple. It yet again is a symptom of a thought process which needs to get the cobwebs out from between their ears. When Ford gets in watch. listen and learn.

Ford has to stop using the word ‘incentives,’ it confuses simple minds. He should refer to it as what it really is, ‘competitive’ tax rates. Competitive! Business will come if they don’t have to dig into their margins to pay the government or be tied up with over regulation. The cost of doing business matters. Like Ford says, look at business flooding to the States because they have a President who understands those concepts.

Corporate welfare is crony capitalism. Its how Wynne has done business in Ontario for two terms in office. Subsidies is the one word definition of corporate welfare. It is taxpayers giving over their hard earned money to prop up business which cannot stand on its own two feet. Simple math. Not difficult to understand, yet the left struggle with the concept. I can understand why people like our resident troll here think Ford makes no sense. They are incapable of grasping even this simple concept. Sad. Maybe there should be IQ tests to be eligible to vote.

Marty Ashfield I left over 20 years ago also. I love the west, but tell my kids to go where they have to, in order to provide for their families, and it just might be Ontario in the future if Ford gets in.
commented 2018-03-01 13:40:51 -0500
Yes, because neon signs, Ferris Wheels and claims that have no basis in fact are the definition of common sense.
