Praising Jesus is out, but SEE what IS OK on Toronto city property (Hint: Naked bike rides)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The City of Toronto is refusing to grant a permit for a Christian music festival called the Voices of the Nations to use Younge-Dundas Square.

Voices of the Nations has been using Toronto city property since 2006 to host their multi denominational celebration of Christianity. In fact, they have been using Younge-Dundas Square since 2010.

So what's the reason for the City of Toronto's sudden change of heart after all these years? The city is against proselytizing on city property.

But is this really about proselytizing? And is singing about Jesus the worst thing that happens with the City's permission in Toronto? Not even close.

Dan Mancuso, No apology necessary. Your comment is right and I agree except for feeling sorry for them. Thank you.

Sheila Gunn Reid should wear undergarments if riding a bicycle in Toronto in November. We had mild weather at the beginning of the month, but it is getting colder.

I am not looking for god.

The street is Y-O-N-G-E, not Younge!!

And you won’t find God by yourself or with science. Jesus told us the only way. Until you realize that reality, everything you have will be lost

Harper would’ve screened for actual refugees.
By my sources Trudeau will bring 7000 jihadists

I do not need to resort to quoting the bible to make a point.

Sam you’re wrong.

Me? A leftist? I voted for Harper ever since he put the conservative party back together.

I find it amusing how there are people here that are way more extreme in their politics and religion in ways the staff of the rebel would not be. Do not act like you have the moral highground because of your religion. Christians that trash Islam the way some of you here do, are the reason why christianity has the bad name that it has now. You people have basically created the much deserved backlash towards christianity.

If you think that my post was worthy of getting flagged, then I look forward to your reaction when a bunch of muslim refugees move into your neighbourhood. And don’t forget. Harper was okay with taking in ten thousand of them.

I apologize in advance for lecturing you. I share your fear of Islam and the rest of the demons tearing down our world.
You do realize you are feeding that filthy little troll exactly what it wants…don’t feed it.
They take up space on important sites like this and distract those in an earnest search for truth. They do it because they are corrupt and festering wretches, they hate themselves as much as they hate THEREBEL, you and I, and God.
As difficult as it is not to respond in defense of all that is good, and I know, you end up hurting yourself with those words you write in angry response. Don’t let these pitiable freaks get under your skin, feel sorry for them, they’re going to have a real bad day when they meet their maker…

young, it’s too bad there isn’t a blasphemy law (like the religion of peace islam that you adore) for Christians in Canada (there should be). Your head would be rolling for that blasphemous remark you spewed at me.
commented 2015-11-07 15:27:34 -0500
young, you and your loud mouth has just been flagged for that bigoted derogatory comment. I hope you and your filthy mouth gets thrown out.

Well said, Cathy Rochford. Sam Young, you should re read what you just typed. You are obviously a leftist and very frustrated. You should know what to do when you are so frustrated. All I can say is there are assholes in the world but you beat them all. I won’t tell you what to shove up your ass you idiot.
commented 2015-11-07 02:22:52 -0500
Oh that is funny. Wanting to band islam and portraying christians as victims in one singular breath. Pull that cross out of your ass and re-read what you just typed.

I just love how a website that is owned by a jew attracts these fanatical christian fundamentalists.

PS: I support homosexual rights.
commented 2015-11-06 20:55:32 -0500
They are all communists and islamists (one and the same) and homosexuals, the ones against Christianity. They’ll deny this but it’s true. The entire group of the city of Toronto Christian bashers have to be sued, and any other group who promotes this. If a court does not treat this properly then it has to go to the top, the supreme court of Canada. There are laws that state no one group of people are to be shunned or shut down due to bigotry and hatred or based on religion. There are laws that uphold freedom of speech. Proselytizing is used by homosexuals and islamists everywhere so cannot be exclusively used against Christians. If these laws are not upheld then the judge has to be removed at once for defying the law and thrown into prison for bigotry. Furthermore islam needs to be banned in the entire world for inciting war everywhere they go and for treason.

Peter, do you realize that is so not the point… wait… you don’t… I hope you are ready to say that to Muslims though.

Sheila Gunn Reid should read her Bible and, if she visits Toronto, she should certainly wear undergarments when riding her bicycle.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
commented 2015-11-05 22:05:24 -0500
Read + Bible x (God + Christ + Holy Spirit / ONE) = Christianity
Read + 0 or ? = Monkey

I am not sure why the topic of atheist commie dictators keeps getting brought up. Just because these dictators killed a bunch of people means they did it because they were dictators. Soviets that lived under Stalin were scared stupid of the guy, and that even includes the people that were closest to Stalin. He was a wrathful lunatic that tookit out on everybody, which led to the nation seeing Stalin as a god-like figure. This is why you see Mao and the Korean dictators doing the same, as they have learned from Stalin. It would be more fair to say that Mao and the Kim Korean dictators are more like Stalinists than atheists.

As for the topic of christianity, I will say this. I am capable of making up my own mind without turning to the bible.
commented 2015-11-05 18:23:45 -0500
Well, I see that Maurice,Kenneth,Dan and Peter have supported anything I could submit, and I commend you. Lack of wrath against wickedness is a lack of caring, which is a lack of love.
But for the rest of you be warned, God is real, more real than any of your possessions. All your science will not be able to prove He exists.
Genesis 6:6 “The Lord was sorry that He made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.”
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
Rom 1:18

Peter, good point: Atheist hypocrisy and intolerance doesn’t intimidate me. They preach their atheist propaganda all the time; so should Christians preach the truth that God has given us, i.e. God’s creation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Terrry, also good point: This is clearly not an anti-proselytizing action in Toronto, but an anti-Christian action. Of course, even if it were anti-proselytizing, such an action is clearly unconstitutional, i.e. contrary to Canadian law .

Our new PM claims his Cabinet “looks like Canada”, and actually, I have to agree. It does look like Canada. But looks are only skin deep. What I’d like to see is a Cabinet that is like Canada, i.e. including some Christians to represent the millions of Christians across this country. I am not aware that there is a single Christian in the new Cabinet. It seems unlikely, given that JT for all practical purposes excluded Christians from running as Liberals. More anti-Christian bigotry.

For the Love of God, can we stop seeing naked middle aged people with their bits hanging out. I mean come on, EWWWW!! If you have an actual beef with what’s wrong in this country, look in the mirror. If you think that’s cool, you’re wrong. If you really want to make a statement against fossil fuels, pull this same stunt in January and maybe someone will pay attention to you. Oh, and by the way, you will not be allowed to get back into your Lexus to warm up. Champagne Socialists at their finest.

Terry Gain,
I cannot confirm that but it would not surprise me. Muslims are very good at using our laws, if they think it will help them. They are also good at using Sharia Law when it comes to the Rape of our Children.

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. I want to have the right to say whatever I feel like saying whether anyone else likes it or not and I also want to defend the right for anyone else to speak what’s on their mind whether I like it or not. This is about equality for everyone, whether Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Atheist, or whatever your religious choice. If we say we believe in freedom of speech, it shouldn’t be about freedom for one and repression of another, no matter what kind of group they belong to or beliefs they hold. Period.
commented 2015-11-05 13:30:40 -0500
it is unfortunate that individuals have taken it to themselves to become a hammer to freedoms, because they mock, laugh, or dislike the beliefs of others. They are blinded to the fact they are destroying their own freedoms. If I believe it is your freedom to protest or celebrate in favour or against something, and it does not physically harm someone, than whether I disagree with it or not, I should just ignore and move along…be happy…

Isn’t that what churches are for?
commented 2015-11-05 13:16:15 -0500
Not only are the trolls anti-conservative but very much anti-Christian. This really explains a lot, because not only are they anti-Christian, but are Atheists as well. An Atheist believes in nothing, and consequently they hate everything others believe in. They condemn everyone that believes in God, good works and love of others. They love to constantly put down God, and Jesus because to acknowledge either is to change their way of thinking, and their way of living.
It really is sad when someone believes that death is the end, that there is no continuation of the Human soul, it is sad that they don’t believe that upon death we finally get to meet our maker, our creator and live in His joy.
They say that there is no proof that God exists, maybe not scientifically, maybe science cannot prove that there is a God, BUT everyone that has had a pray answered, as I have many times, everyone that has spent time in the outdoors especially in the Mountains, any one that has held a new born baby, or feels the love of family, cannot deny that the creator exists and shows His love for us in many ways.
God loves you even if you do not believe!
