Prof suspended for telling international student to “learn English”

Rob ShimshockRebel Contributor

An engineering professor was suspended and replaced by a different instructor after suggesting that an international student using Google Translate “learn English.”

Worse, the international student wasn't the one to complain about Prof. Gary Minden. It was the rest of the class.

So, a cursory look at this story indicates that the student/professor “encounter” had something to do with ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING?…. But Yeah; I can see a lot of benefits to be had by encouraging this “student” to rather learn to speak Swahili or Nepalese You just never know when such an esoteric skill will come in handy for an electrical engineering student!

Rob Shimshock has done very well at TheRebel. Because of his youth he can still appear cocky or arrogant, but he has got a handle on this. As a mid-American he is able to communicate well to a Canadian audience. He is moderate in tone and his accent is not something right-wing Canadians would laugh at. His career at The Rebel may be short-lived, but he is doing well. No one needs to tell him to “learn English”!

Je ne comprends pas. Isn’t this international student attending an ENGLISH school?
Maybe the other students need to learn English as well.
Hey, now that’s a win/win.
