Promises, promises: BC NDP election platform a hodgepodge of costly socialist fantasies

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

The BC NDP have some huge election promises in their platform, mainly on how they’re going to make your life less expensive while also providing better services and will even make housing more affordable!

The absolute worst thing you can ever hear from a government is that they’re going to make your life “more affordable” because what that really means is they’re going to pay for it using your money.

Their election platform is really just a big hodgepodge of socialist fantasies that will never become a reality.

Watch as I point out some of the more obvious examples that jumped out at me since under the Notley NDP in Alberta, we’ve heard it all before.

John Horgan himself says that talking about how to pay for services like healthcare isn’t something to do during an election campaign, which means he doesn’t really know where the money for these promises will come from either.

It also tells me the BC NDP are counting on people not doing their research but will instead, just look forward to getting all this “free” stuff that’s not really free.

If the NDP win, British Columbia is going to take on some serious debt and life will get way more expensive because the BC NDP is going to have to find a way to pay for all those promises.

In Alberta, we got a carbon guilt tax that’s not changing the weather and there’s no telling what new and creative ways the BC NDP will come up with to screw people out of more of their money.

What we do know is that the NDP are all the same – all British Columbians need to do is take a jog down memory lane to when the NDP destroyed their province in the 90’s and then glance to the east in Alberta where they’re at it again.

BC is the most prosperous province in Canada and the BC NDP want to turn it into a socialist welfare state, all on the taxpayer dime.

On the bright side it looked like for awhile we would get a 42 to 42 result. Be happy it came out 43 to 41 for the Liberals. The NDP was ahead by 2 digits up to 2 weeks ago.

Part of it is pure ignorance. If I suggest the NDP are socialist I get blank disbelieving stares. I don’t if that is because that idea is new to the person in question, or they are thinking “so what”. My wife, who is from the US, just says to me “Well, of course, this is Canada. Everyone is a socialist her”

So, the Liberals won but just barely. A minority Liberal government.

I have a hard time believing that there are so many completely brain dead NDPer in BC that gave them 41 seats UP by 6 seats!

Why are those 39.86% of BC voters suicidal? If they want to commit economic suicide why don’t they just do it to their own finances and not drag the whole province to ruin with them.

Well, BC slipped past ruin just barely but next election the NDP just might make it into the seat of power in BC where they will gleefully devastate the province, just like Notley and her wrecking crew are doing in Alberta now.

Peter, you said it for me….!

My riding is in the bag for NDP, so I am voting Libertarian. As much as I might despise the BC Liberals, if there was chance of their win in my riding, I would do so if only to avoid NDP disaster. I think of Quebec with its 49% debt to GDP.

To quote a great orator Ronald Reagan. Eight little words you should make your blood run cold.
Grab your wallet and run for your life.

A strong indication that those who habitually vote NDP are insane.

BC has previous experience with these communist liars and deceivers. If they are foolish enough to vote for these lunatics, then welcome to poverty, and your rights will all be collective, so that they can destroy capitalism and wealth. The generations that are coming, will hold you responsible for electing these economy snatchers!

With luck, people in BC learn from Alberta.

Drew… I was already eating my pets under the previous governments and under the NDP we’re considering eating our neighbors pets and the corn from our own shit.!!
Why do people continually attempt the same experiment over and over again looking for a contrasting result.??

Socialists like the NDP promise such good times and free stuff , but it really leads to people eating their pets and empty store shelves.

BC under the present government has been able to maintain equilibrium in a under-performing Canadian economy which has seen 3 of its 4 primary regional wealth engines shut down by bad government policy. We see a government wannabe buying votes with a very volatile economic buffer built by its opponent .

If Lotus-landers fall for this hollow bribe, they are really going to go down in history as the biggest cucks since the fools who elected the self-destructive AB government and eve more masochistic than Ontario voters who keep voting or the bankruptcy of their province.

Many people vote for the free stuff that they are promised, thinking it is free. I often heard people saying that gov’t debt is meaningless and that gov’t money can indefinitely be printed from the banksters’ printing press with no consequence. How uneducated many are of economic matters!!!! To get free stuff, they will drown the country into socialism like Venezuela, if necessary. Then, maybe then, will they understand that gov’ts cannot be trusted. Go get a job if you want stuff.

Hopefully BC will:
1) remember when for ten years they had an NDP government they destroyed the economy
2) glance East one province to see how the NDP are currently destroying Alberta
3) look at how the Saskatchewan NDP destroyed the economy there,
4) go further East to Manitoba that finally shook off the shackles of the NDP there after destroying their economy
5) step one more province East to Ontario where Bob Rae wrecked the Ontario Economy
6) and finally look at Nova Scotia that had NDP in that province from 2009 to 2013 for one term and that NDP also wrecked their economy

I am sensing a trend here!

The NDP are the economic wrecking ball party.

BC please learn from the other provinces. PLEASE

Thanks for that Holly. Just wish the general public in BC could view it. Rebel viewers can “like” it, retweet it, and share it, but alas, the majority will not have the pleasure of hearing your non-narrative conservative viewpoint in the MSM.
Hoping for a good result tomorrow.

BC – please don’t believe the NDP. This party will run your province into the ground and take money from your household. They speak the big lies and sleep perfectly well at night.
