Watch all of The Rebel's reports from Quebec City after the attack

Faith GoldyArchive

UPDATED: On January 29, 2017, an armed gunman burst into a mosque in Quebec City, killing 6 and wounding 19 more.

It was a horrendous attack that must be condemned. And immediately it was.

But the early reports were confusing. One eyewitness at the mosque said there were more than one gunman. Another said there was a shout of "Allah Akbar".

And that night, police took into custody two men -- Alexandre Bissonnette, and Mohamed Khadir, a Muslim man.

The next morning, police released Khadir, saying he was no longer a suspect, but rather a witness. And they laid charges against Bissonnette, for murder.

What's going on here? What are the facts? And can we trust the mainstream media to tell us the truth about such a controversial and sensitive subject?

We don’t know all the facts yet. But unlike the CBC, we intend to uncover the truth, not bury it.

So The Rebel sent Faith Goldy to Quebec City with a cameraman to report on the facts wherever they lead.

You can watch all of Faith's reports from Quebec City, which will be posted below.

Old soros shows up on the 20th for a little chat with dear leader and then the next day a mysterious muslim man and deranged white boy show up and shoot up the joint and the media ignores the 2nd criminal? Whatevs, I don’t even take this news seriously anymore.

@james Wolf…Having ended up a refugee in my own country after the first referendum I would have to agree that Quebec’s nationalists are extremely provincial. Mr Wahabi al Wannabee bin Castro seems to switch and turn coat from Canadian (whatever that means) post nationalist to Quebequois parlez francais dans mon paye partizan like switching masks in a Greek drama. He even flagrantly defies the Official Languages Act which entitles ALL citizens of Canada service in the official language of their choice when dealing with the federal government.

Funny how the media who have dragged their feet time after time tying terrorists to their religion are quite comfortable in telling us he was a Trump supporter.

Vlad Taltos I agree. I do not equate owning a firearm with walking down the street brandishing one. If you are intent on doing someone harm you will either find a way to get a weapon legal or not or use some other tool as a weapon. The crimes we seeing going on in Chicago are not being committed by law abiding citizens. I think every person has a right to defend their home and family but should have to undergo legal training and a psychological test as well as a background test.

I am always interested in gathering more information. I can’t wait to hear the actual witnesses interviewed but I’m not totally surprised when there is a discrepancy about numbers. Witnesses often confuse seeing someone in the area as a possible suspect. It doesn’t help matters though when we get the impression the media and police and government are being less than forthcoming with what they do know.

Quote- “Neither you nor I believe in the freedom of arms. For you and me and the vast majority of Rebel readers we know that Canada’s prohibition of carrying firearms is a good one. You and I, and almost everybody else, should not walk down the street carrying a loaded rifle or handgun or shotgun.

In the United States there is a basic right to walk down the street with a firearm. Not here in Canada. " As Christian says, open carrying of firearms isn’t common in the US, not any more. Doing so will likely get you shot as cops are very trigger happy nowdays thanks to the “Us vs. Them” mentality being pushed on law enforcement. You may see prohibitive gun laws as a good thing. And it might be today. But, what happens if a tyrant were to come to power tomorrow? Government rules armed citizens by their consent. Government rules disarmed citizens from behind a well armed military. I know this sounds strange to many, and hopefully it will never be tested in North America.

Oh o, suspicious stuff going on here. Sadly, the same sort that’s been happening in the US for a while. Witnesses see 2 masked gun wielding men shouting Muslim phrases suddenly becomes a single “lone wolf” terrorist? (Insert eye rolling emote). During the recent Florida airport shooting, witnesses AND police saw and received multiple calls about more then one shooter. Yet everyone maintains there was one “lone” shooter. Then, during the Santa Barbara shooting, witnesses heard many gunshots from a building. Then saw 3 men with military haircuts, dressed in combat gear emerge from the building after killing like 14 people. Yet we are told a Muslim husband and wife did the shooting. I could go on and on listing what appears to be false flag attacks. But you get the point, I hope. Let me ask, where are the videos? Surely both witnesses and bystanders would have pulled their phones out and recorded footage, right? That’s another common thread with US “attacks”. The total lack of any footage whether from public/private cameras or from bystanders..

Mohamed Belkhadir, an engineering student at Université Laval, was initially arrested Sunday night but later released. He spoke out about what happened to him Monday.

He told La Presse that he was trying to provide first aid to shooting victims when police mistook him for a suspect. But he didn’t hold anything against police, he said.

Belkhadir, who called 911 after hearing 15 to 20 seconds of gunfire, said he fled when he saw someone with a firearm. He thought it was the shooter; in fact, it was a police officer.

“I understand, I respect, that they caught me,” he told La Presse. “They saw me flee, they thought I was suspicious, that’s normal. For them, someone who flees is a suspect.”

@cal Vanknett perhaps google the word lier because it does not mean what you think it means.

It would be nice to know the nature of the relationship between Khadir and Bissonette, if any.

Just like I said yesterday, this is NOT a terrorist attack like all these scum bag politicians and mainstream media are saying. Bloody fools!

Again, just like i said early yesterday, it will be a crazy, whack – job franco – nazis…no surprise here. Take a long close look at Quebec, over 100 years of racism, bigotry, xenophobia, read The tragedy of Quebec…look at bills 22, 178, 101 (pure hate), while forcing french all across the country (disguised as bilingualism)…a pattern, a history of hate, intolerance…they are a disgrace to Canada. Thank Trudeau Sr for a lot of this…go read Conspiracy or Two or His pride our fall..

Lets give them credit where credit is due, the franco – nazis part of Quebec hates anything and anyone that is not metis (they are not french). At least they are consistent, equal opportunity haters…lollllll. Sad but true. I live in Canada, I see it daily. The world has no idea what’s really going on in Canada, especially Quebec over the last 50 years.

Last night I read a media report concerning the prime suspect and it even mentioned his background as a cadet (in addition to his support for Trump, Le Pen, and the Parti Quebecois). This sort of coverage makes me think of back some twenty years ago when the beating death of a Somali youth at the hands of Airborne Regiment soldiers sadly took place, the media really went out of their way to portray the military in that sort of bad light (the pictures of the beating being shown on the front page of the Ottawa Citizen). You can really get that feeling of a similar sort of tactic concerning the narrative the elite media want to construct concerning this event.

It would be nice to see the ballistics proving there was only one shooter.

Actually Mr. Kelly, you should educate yourself concerning something like that. Places like New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles tend to have very strict provisions concerning law abiding citizens legally possessing and carrying firearms and those regions see a great deal more violent crime than places like Maine, Vermont (where there has never been a permit required to carry open or concealed), New Hampshire, Montana, North and South Dakota, and other US states that are more permissive in that respect. Vermont is only about an hour’s drive from Montreal and has among the most casual of firearms laws in the United States and is also one of the least violent areas in the Western world. You can also make note that most of the U.S. states that immediately border Canada have firearms laws and violent crime rates not terribly dissimilar to Vermont’s (New York being a minority in this instance).

Where was the outrage when I SIS ordered attacks on churches at Christmas. Christians now have to live in fear of a backlash from muslims maybe another priest being beheaded as in France or a Christmas market being rammed by a truck where is the security outside churches

@jay Kelly….you keep going on about this guy being “christian”. He is a Quebec francophone so the probability is his parents were Roman Catholic. Can you tell me the last time this fellow went to confession or attended mass? I am willing to bet that the last time he saw the inside of a church was his great aunt’s funeral when he was nine years old……prove me wrong.
commented 2017-01-31 08:02:42 -0500
The pressure cooker that got this guy’s blood boiling was Laval University. They have the nastiest crop of feminist witches in Quebec. Women’s Studies professors there submitted policy recommendations to Status of Women Canada on making criticism of feminism “hate speech” under sections 318 and 319 of the Criminal Code. I know this for a fact because I was involved in a five year long legal battle on this matter. They also made recommendations for the monitoring and censorship of the internet. I am willing to bet that the hostile environment sexual harrasment of “cis-gendered” white males on that campus is just considered normal. Donald Trump’s promise to rescind Title IX and to defund SJW’s on American campuses would be like a breath of fresh air to any “cis-gendered” male attending contemporary universities in Quebec…particularly Laval.

According to CBC, not only was Trump driving the getaway car in St. Foy, they have now placed him behind the grassy knoll in Dallas on November 22, 1963. In reality, this is just another senseless hate crime as far as I can tell. We shall pray for those who died and those who are suffering from this act of terror.

The young man in Quebec City who shot dead six men at prayer was carrying an illegal weapon. He was in his twenties, but still that weapon was not for sale legally in Canada.

Who’s going to touch this one with a ten foot pole?

For a while i will refer to the terrorist who did this as a GUNMAN , since that is how the media loves to portray them.

commented 2017-01-31 01:46:56 -0500
Jay Kelly you are suddenly all concerned about a terror attack? Oh right , they killed Muslims , and those are the only people you seem to value. And you have the nerve to point out his background when you say it has no bearing in other attacks? You are the worst kind of hypocrite.
commented 2017-01-31 01:25:59 -0500
Jay, I didn’t say anything about the killing in Quebec. I was making light of your retardation and you just proved my point. You talk about just society well maybe you could invest five minutes and watch the video on attached link. This is the Obama legacy, that retard that used to be in the white house. Watch the video and then tell me about a just society. Otherwise, another option is to get your melon checked.

My guess this nut case ( unless he was a wound up patsy) is a complete coward. Had even one person pulled out a concealed carry gun and fired back he would have either wounded or killed the assailant or the scum would have dropped his weapon and scurried off. Anyone who can fire on unarmed innocent people are yellow bellied cowards in the first place.
