Quebec nationalism leads conservative populists to victory

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, I explained why I think support for Quebec nationalism was vital to Coalition Avenir Quebec Party (CAQ) leader Francois Legault's victory in the recent provincial election.

Canada was founded on a compromise between it's two founding peoples, the British and the French. Although the British were victorious, they included accommodations for Quebecers to maintain their distinct culture in our founding document the British North America Act.

The maintenance of the distinctness has been a concern for Quebecers ever since, and I think Legault tapped into that cultural awareness.

WATCH my video to see how Justin Trudeau turned his back on his home province and what impact Canada's border crisis had in the election.
