Quebec’s premier threatens free press over cartoon

Eric DuhaimeRebel Commentator

Freedom of press has never been so threatened after Quebec premier’s call for censorship. A few months after trying to legislate on what liberals call “hate speech,” Philippe Couillard’s PMO asked Transcontinental Media to remove a caricature, and they’ve been quick to obey!

For what reason was this company, which distributes weekly local papers, so prompt to comply with this order from the Premier's office?

Is it because of a law which is under scrutiny by the Assemblée nationale, which could deprive them of $20 million in advertising revenues?

What’s clear is that in Quebec, freedom of the press as well as freedom of speech are now under attack by the Liberals.

I guess the name Couillard is the Quebecios version of the Turkish name Erdowan.

Why on earth is a government spending $20 minion dollars on advertising for? Obviously it is a plan to control the media. William Aberhart should have been a little more devious. Funny how the lefties still excoriate him ( and Trump) while turning a blind eye to this kind of tyranny.

Thanks for this Eric. I understand why your message is important to be in french. All Quebecois need to hear what you have to say. That you do it again in English for us Anglos, is much appreciated. Shame on Couillard and shame on Transcontinental Media for caving. Fascism at its finest.

When a country loses its free speech, it loses its liberty.
Interestingly, at a memorial for the victims of the mosque shooting in Quebec City, the CBC reported that, “The Quebec premier (Phillippe Couillard) drew a standing ovation during his speech, in which he challenged Muslim stereotypes. Couillard noted how many in attendance said ‘Allahu akbar!’ (God is great) when the three caskets were wheeled in. ‘I make the point of repeating these words because too often in the media, in films, in our discourse, these words are associated with terrorism and violence. But we’ve just seen what those words mean to you from the Muslim community’, he said.”
‘Allahu akbar’, the ubiquitous battle cry of Islamic jihadists as they commit mass murder, means that the Muslim god Allah is “greater” or supreme, not ‘God is great’ as the mainstream media and the CBC mistranslate what it means. The first occasion of using “Alahu Akbar” in murder was by Muhammad (the prefect man in Islam to be emulated)1400 years ago in his attack on a Jewish tribe and has been used in this way ever since.
Thus, we have the Quebec Premier Couillard, who wants Quebec to be a secular state, saying those words and that he was comfortable in saying them, not knowing to the delight of the Muslims present there that this dhimmi, thereby, had just surrendered Quebec to Islam!

Couillard has been given his orders from Junior. And like all good fascist liberals, he marches to the goose stepping of the globalists. Shame on him for interfering in free speech. The enemy will come for him too one day, he’s just not bright enough to figure that out yet.

Any suppression of free speech is an attack on our democracy, thank you Eric for pointing out that fact. If Philippe has such a thin skin or maybe an overarching reach he should not be premier of Quebec, after all there has been corruption there for many years.

There is a movement from the left to squelch free speech. Any time freedom of speech is curtailed, all suffer, even if they do not know it at the time.

Eric, thank you for doing some of your videos in English. I like to hear your opinions and now I can. I always appreciated your view point when on the Sun News Network.

Why are we still referring to this Socialist Islamo-Marxist Party as the Liberal Party or their followers Liberals? Lets call them the SIM PARTY . The entire party is filled with crypto-Islamists .
