Chrystia Freeland rescues young Saudi woman from luxury Bangkok airport hotel — but silent about a Canadian on China's death row

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

About ten days ago, a young woman Rahaf Al-Qunun wrote this tweet from a luxury airport hotel in Bangkok, Thailand:

"I am the girl who escaped from Kuwait to Thailand, my life is at stake and I am now in real danger if I am forcibly returned to Saudi Arabia.”

I like the fact that she wants to be free. That she’s a woman. That she rejects Islam. What a pleasant change from the Muslim extremists who flood into the west, seeking to colonize and convert and bring sharia law — this woman looked like the opposite, didn’t she? The fact that she’s a pretty teenager who speaks English helps, too.

At least that’s what Chrystia Freeland, our foreign minister, must have thought. She’s had a terrible month.

China has seized thirteen Canadians as payback for our lawful arrest of a Chinese tycoon named Meng Wanzhou. They’re still holding several of them, including a former diplomat.

So Freeland saw an opportunity for a quick media win. This young woman, Rahaf Al-Qunun, originally wanted to go to Australia. Australia was considering her application for asylum, looking into the facts of the case.

But Freeland moved faster. She didn’t need an immigration hearing — She'd seen tweets!

So Freeland brought Al-Qunun to Canada on the weekend — and made sure she was there to mug for the cameras at the airport. You have to see her weird, domineering, handsy, smothering showboating with this telegenic young woman.

This situation wasn't really a crisis. But it was a great opportunity for Chrystia Freeland.

Certainly better than dealing with this news:

After a one-day trial, a Canadian has been sentenced to death in China, for drug smuggling. He wasn’t originally sentenced to death there. But they kicked it up a notch after Canada arrested Meng in December.

At least as I go to air, Chrystia Freeland hasn’t put out a public statement on this Canadian sentenced to death in China.

And she's offered no help for Asia Bibi, a Christian who has been sentenced to death in Pakistan, for blasphemy, because she would not submit to Islam.

You see, Trudeau ended the Stephen Harper policy of letting Christian refugees into Canada.

In the 2015 campaign, Trudeau called it “disgusting” that Harper would meet with these Christian refugees, and take photos with them.

Yeah, that was then.

The Al-Qunun cringe-fest is now.

As we showed you a couple of years ago, just before Syrians get on the plane to Canada, Trudeau pressures them to sign a photo release — a waiver, letting him use their pictures for his campaigning. These are Syrians; they don’t know their rights; and they don’t know what happens if they say no — will Trudeau even let them on the plane?

So of course they sign a release letting Trudeau use them in photo ops.

So much for being "disgusting"...

Now that she's here, why can’t we hear even one word from Rahaf Al-Qunun herself? She has been quite loquacious on Twitter. We know her name, her father’s name, her details, everything.

Everything except what Chrystia Freeland said and did, and what promises were exchanged.

Including, I might add, what photo releases she signed to agree to be in a political campaign.

That, I think, is what Catherine McKenna’s househusband knows that the rest of us don’t...

NEXT: Our good friend John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, joins me to talk about their latest legal battle:

The Justice Centre has filed a petition with the Supreme Court of British Columbia on behalf of a local church, after the City of New Westminster cancelled the church’s booking to host a conference at the City-owned Anvil Centre.

Wait until you find out why...

Rahaf Al-Qunun is definitely preggers. That’s two ‘Canadians’ Freeland.
This is really going to help that Canadian who is getting the death penalty(?) in China, keep on pissing off the Saudis Chrystia, good work.
I can hardly stomach looking at her or any of the rest of these politicians who think they can do what ever they want and to hell with their actual responsibilities. Keep Cryin Chrystia away from twitter for cryin out loud!
Hilarious Justin clip. What a freaking joke. I thought he said photo ops were disgusting?

Did Scott Gilmore just pull his head out of his ass? What does he think has been going on since 2015?

Imagine if Rahaf Al-Qunun were to slip free of her ‘handlers’ long enough to have a brief conversation with a media outlet that is not subject to having their questions pre-screened by General Secretary Gerald M. Butts or anyone else in his Politburo.

LOL, the horror, the horror…

In fairness, Trudeau’s PMO doesn’t pour through files to see who is suitable for a photo-op because of the Boyle family & Mr. Atwal.
How’d that work out, Trudy?
