Raptors win! Toronto team unites Canada coast-to-coast

David MenziesMission Specialist

Look no further than the victorious Toronto Raptors to showcase the unity that sports can bring.

When it comes to the Raptors, I'm a bandwaggon-hopper, and I've watched more basketball during these NBA finals than I have in my entire lifetime.

But visiting the crowds in Jurassic Park outside of the Scotiabank Arena last night let me appreciate the electricity in the air as the final seconds counted down.

Liza Rosie, Hockey isn’t Canadian anymore either. If people could get that excited about voting, maybe we could get somewhere in this country.
Your comment reminds me of a recent experience.
My brother invited me to a 3 day Golf Tournament in a BC town. There were 24 of us.
At night we got together for food and a few drinks. Of the 24, only 3 of us had any knowledge of Politics. However most of these upper middle class men could tell you about almost all the players in the NHL and their statistics. In other words, they were not dumb.
How can people vote for the best Politician if they don’t know anything about them.
When I was in Grade 6 in a Quebec School, everyone had to learn about Politics, now they teach you what sex they want you to be.

Cheering for laundry as Seinfeld, said.

Ron Joseph.. Pipelines go south then across to each US coast.. Trudeau tweedie dee do… and Scheer tweedie de dum.. can go and cry on each others shoulders while Professionals take charge of the economy and Immigration Laws in Canada.

Robert Greeley…actually (Raptors joke aside) I honestly respect your idea and have put a lot of thought into it. We desperately need more people thinking outside of the box.
For example I thought maybe the Ontario people learned a lesson with a lost decade of Liberal Politicians and out of control spending. Maybe they would go for a massive change of direction that you propose.
One weakness in the New country Plan is that there is still no way to get Oil to the two Coasts.

The words of the best Premier ever, Ralph Klein, never rang truer than today – Let the Eastern Bastards Freeze in the Dark. Separation time, folks. The few good people in the eastern rural areas that are not totally Libtarded on the Liberal Kool-Aid, can apply for asylum and take their chances – the rest, good riddance, you deserve the Liberals you elect.

Ron Joseph.. IMO we have to have a plan B… If the PPC doesn’t get into the PMO..
commented 2019-06-16 01:28:10 -0400
Okay Ron Joseph.. give me a bit of slack.. read further down the post.. I’m just thinking out loud also.. fine tuning the transition comes in the closing of the deal… It was a gist of an idea.. Could we build on it?
commented 2019-06-16 01:18:21 -0400
I could see that working.. Ontario.. Manitoba.. Saskatchewan.. Alberta.. The new Canada..
Robert, we went from a Basketball Team to Ontario joining Western Canada. If Ont. joined the West, would we have to be RAPTORS fans?
Once the CBC vacates their Toronto Office for Quebec, the PPC can take over the Building.

And to add to my comment below.. these same twisted sick in the head liberal globalist goofballs are all of a sudden patriotic because of a League sport.. And they are the ones who back up Trudeau with his anti Canadian … anti patriotic policies.

Thanks Lee Horsman for the Phil Esposito clip… God bless him..

The Trudeau propaganda media whores were yelping out their spew all along on the radio waves also.. It was enough to make ya wanna barf.. One liberal globalist idiot DJ never followed basketball and she decided right then and there we all must back up the Raptors because they were a Canadian team! It’s a league sport.. not the Canada Cup.. Not the Olympics.. Not anything but a League sport.

The Raptors have one Canadian player. Meanwhile, two-thirds of the 1919 Stanley Cup Champions, the St. Louis Blues, are Canadians. So who is really ’Canada’s team?’
It’s a trick question. The answer is neither of them.
Neither of these teams was playing in an international competition. They were playing for a league championship.
The bean-counters and marketing pooh-bahs at places like Sportsnet can go right ahead and keep trying to ram their ’Canada’s team’ BS down my throat for as long as they want but I’m not swallowing. Not today, not ever.
Some people have some pretty loopy ideas about what it takes to EARN the nickname ’Canada’s team.’ Here’s an explanation from somebody who knows…

I watched that video live when it was first broadcast and I will never forget it as long as I live

Robert Greeley : I would fully support Ontario joining a Western Separation.(if they would have us…..)
I am in rural Ottawa and I assure you that the close proximity to the Liberal cancer there and the not-so-distant sewer of Toronto & Tory….takes it’s daily toll.It was not always like that here, but especially true since McGuilty and No-Wynne…..I do not know if Doug Ford & Company can undo enough of the previous damage…….
In some ways I parallel it (metaphorically) to what my parents remembered and spoke of regarding The Dirty Thirties…..endless days….months and years of no hope….and no end in sight.
Yes,it does sound “crazy”….but we are being pushed forward by gangs of lunatics anyway….so why not have some “crazy” dreams. It cannot do any harm.

If Bernier/PPC doesn’t get voted in.. maybe the only solution is below.

On another Article.. Someone commented… If Ontario could get their act together and separate with the west..

I could see that working.. Ontario.. Manitoba.. Saskatchewan.. Alberta.. The new Canada.. After all Trudeau declared this current Canada.. the first post Nation State.

New Canada would broker a great deal with the Yanks.. for easy flow of goods and services. New Canada would deport all of Trudeau’s whatchya millcall it’s to Quebec where they came from.

New Canada would not fund the CBC Trudeau whores anymore. Pipelines would be under construction again.

New Canada works with the Yanks to build a wall around the Provinces and States that want them.

Then Trudeau and his crew could have Quebec to the east coast to rig an election.. or shit! just become the dictator that he always wanted to be.

New Canada would screen all current individuals residing in the current post nation Canada who want to be a part and become a positive force and build in New Canada.

The Northern Provinces and Territory’s would be a work in progress.

I know.. sounds crazy.. But so did going to the moon sound crazy in some point of time in the past.

The point is we were FORCED to watch by the Eastern Media…………….

Ron, That was the PMO stopping you from watching the news. Trudeau’s escapades are to embarrassing. They would rather you did not see them.

Ron’s comment reminds me of a few months back when France won the famed World Cup Soccer Championship and England responded:

Kyle, people from coast to coast wern’t cheering for anyone. The point is we were FORCED to watch by the Eastern Media. We couldn’t even get the news on CTV and CBC News channels as they were pushing this rare Toronto sports success.

Kyle, I am going to tell you my secret as I feel sorry for you having to live in Canada’s only Multicultural Slum Clearance Shithole. I cheer for the Bluejays and even the Leafs once a generation when they get more wins than loses.

Way to go Raptors! In spite of what you guys say, people from coast to coast were cheering for them. It’s obvious from the comments below, misery really does like company.

This just reminds me how the elitist east sees itself , no one really cares no matter how much they want us to. Why would many other Canadians care when they are marginalized by the eastern tyrants? Like Ron Joseph stated it was shoved down our throats by eastern media and like Sheldon stated Toronto is becoming a 3rd world shithole added to the fact they are Canadas Anus. Why would i give a damn about a team from a city that escorts Al-Quds bigots and arrests a Christian for merely speaking respectfully? Toronto can burn for all i care.
commented 2019-06-15 02:21:52 -0400
Well put everyone, i personally do not give a damn about Toronto sports teams, they only represent Toronto.
Sorry David this is one time i fully disagree with you.
commented 2019-06-15 00:24:32 -0400
I’m sorry David, I guess I’m getting old, but this was just an excuse for college students to party and I was sick of seeing it all over the television. Did any of these kids even go to the game?
These kids are not basketball fans, they grew up playing soccer.
What would it have been like had they lost? Riots?
One has to be reminded of the Roman mentality when Christians were fed to the lions in the Colosseum. Psychologists compare Sports ‘frenzy’ to the blood bath sports that took place in that colosseum, eg. gladiators, etc.

Man, am I ever a spoil sport! Glad you had fun though David.

Good on the Raptors however Toronto is a third world shithole full of Trudeau’s invaders!!!

Actually when President Trump was elected in 2016.. there was a lot of Merry Christmas’s and good cheer being said out loud at the grocery stores.. garages.. in general public etc.

Nothing heard about this in my neck of the woods either…. John Galt.

Nothing to see here…….
Sorry David,I see nothing "uniting"in this event.(I live in Ontario)
I have been out with my wife all day and absolutely nobody mentioned this game in any conversation I was in.( or overheard)

Nobody around here gives a damn that I’ve seen.
I speak to 30 people a day in the BC Interior and no one including me gave a damn about Toronto, that sport, or the Eastern Media that shoved it down our throats,
When you think of it, why would a 5’6 Asian in Vancouver care about a North American Only Sport that you have to be 7’ tall to be a star?

Nobody around here gives a damn that I’ve seen. We’re all too ticked off that we get rid of a carbon tax and now they are trying to force another one down our necks from Ottawa.
