Ray Heard on Liberal spending “more blatant than Hillary Clinton’s Foundation”

Brian LilleyArchive

From spending $503 per person to fête the Mexican President, to $1,300 per person for meals aboard planes, it’s becoming obvious that Trudeau’s Liberals aren’t into austerity.

Whether it’s Justin’s top aides caught doubt-billing taxpayers for their moving expenses or Kathleen Wynne’s costly spending scandals, it’s beginning to look like not even the Media Party can continue to run interference for these entitled Liberals.

Watch as I discuss these issues and more with long-time journalist and Liberal insider Ray Heard who has noticed that even the political cartoons about Wynne and Trudeau have taken a brutal turn.

The Liberals think they represent the middle class but they only represent themselves, the upper crust of Canadian earners. This fairy boy called Justin spends money like a woman, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a new pair of shoes for every selfie opportunity. Incompetent is the word to describe his lineup of “ministers with portfolio”. They couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse and that includes Wynne as well. What do you do when you fuck up a country and spend like crazy? The Liberal thing. Introduce more taxes like Carbon Taxes to grab money out of not only the “middle class” pockets. Everyone’s pockets. No worries. They have guaranteed income and maybe even some side business giving talks for some Canadian’s entire yearly salary. The party of privilege knows not those who they govern.

Canadian Mongrel—-When I read your excellent comparison of Papa Trudeau having 4 strong Premiers to keep control of him, I couldn’t help thinking of Justin having complete control of the 4 Atlantic Premiers. These Premiers are starting to complain that they are being taken advantage of.

Viable opposition leader. Papa Doc had no viable opposition leader from 1974-84. (Clarke was just an embarrassing footnote as PM, and Stanfield became ineffective after his third loss.) However, Papa Doc did have Lougheed in Alberta, Bennett in BC, Blakley in Saskatchewan and Davis in Ontario to challenge him, and prevent his over stretching. Today Baby Doc only has Wall to worry about, and Saskatchewan cannot be atlas to the Canadian so-called federation all on its own.

Bill Elder: I can’t help but get the feeling such flagrant disregard suggest a government who no longer believes they are accountable and that concerns me as much as the waste and the potential for a Greece like situation or worse.

Trudeau and his Gang are no more than children with a new toy, that new toy being Canada. They are all so excited at being in control of what used to be a Country, envied by the World. It has gone to their heads and is all to much for their intellects to handle. In their excitement they are throwing money down the drain, with no thought to the consequence. They import undesirables as though they were gifts from Heaven and the answer to Canada’s dwindling population. What they do not understand is, what they are doing is akin to buying Doberman and Irish Wolf Hound Puppy’s and then being surprised when these cuddly little puppy’s grow up to be uncontrollable killers.

It is we, the public who must show them the error of their ways. Perhaps we can even help them to grow up and act like normal Human Beings.

Dropping 132K$ on dinner is a symptom of a larger problem – it denotes a regime out of touch with the principles of return on public investment, debt-toGDP management and monetization/valuation.

In an era where most western nations are skirting collapse due to debt to GDP ratios, spending sprees as we see here are like a government ignoring numerical probabilities and gambling on no-win bets.

The IMF says that any country whose private-debt-to-GDP ratio goes beyond 150 per cent and that has a five-year rate of growth of 18 per cent or greater in that debt ratio experiences a financial crisis at some point. (The data comes from the Bank for International Settlements.) These two milestones were surpassed during Canada’s recent borrowing binge. Canadians collectively owe more than 208 per cent of GDP and private debt to GDP grew more rapidly than the guideline between 2011 and 2016. Private debt grew from 182 per cent of GDP to 208 per cent, well above the benchmark rate of growth for five years.

This federal regime are whistling past the graveyard – spending like drunken frat boys before the crisis hits – they hope they have enough media sycophancy left that they can blame it on Harper.

What is all the fuss? Liberals are the natural governing party of Canada. Public funds are the rightful property of the Liberals, to be spent on members of the party and their cronies as they bloody well please. Are we clear?
