United We Roll: The Rebel joins huge pro-pipeline convoy to Ottawa

Keean BexteRebel Contributor

The #UnitedWeRoll convoy is a massive caravan of heavy-duty trucks travelling across Canada, taking a pro-pipeline, pro-jobs message right to Justin Trudeau’s doorstep in Ottawa.

This #UnitedWeRoll movement is Canada-wide. Every small town along the way has had supporters standing on the side of the Trans Canada Highway, waving and cheering their support.

It’s 100% grassroots — ordinary people have crowdfunded the trip, and everyone aboard is a volunteer. Along the route, local merchants give us courtesy discounts on everything from pizza to gas. It’s amazing.

This convoy isn’t asking Ottawa for a hand-out, or a secret favour, like SNC-Lavalin.

They just want to be able to go to work, so they can provide for their families.

This is truly a convoy of unity. Rarely do you ever see such unanimous, national support for a movement here in Canada.

Highlights from the pro-pipeline convoy to Ottawa

Published on February 21 - It was a week-long, unforgettable journey. The United We Roll convoy to Ottawa was met by thousands of Canadians along the road, and even more at impromptu rallies along the Trans Canada Highway.

The convoy has now left Ottawa, retracing their steps. They are re-visiting every community that donated food, money, and fuel, to thank them for their Canadian generosity.

Soon they will be home, proud of the miles behind them, and hopeful that the road ahead for Canada’s disenfranchised oil and gas industry will be smoother.

FINAL THOUGHTS: #UnitedWeRoll convoy

Published on February 20 - This convoy has fought off unfounded accusations of racism from the beginning; a Maclean's magazine editor even called it a "mobilization of white nationalists.” The truth is, this convoy is made up of a diverse group of Canadians who care about jobs, and the future of their families.

Thank you to everyone who supported our independent reporting and who shared our videos on social media. We couldn’t have brought you this story without the support of ordinary Canadians like you.

David Menzies: United We Roll vs. Antifa in Ottowa

Published on February 22Of course, the usual suspects of Antifa showed up to the Convoy protest in Ottowa to scream at the convoy participants. As always, I tried to get them to explain exactly what they were protesting against, but got either silence or abuse.

CLAIM: Carleton student union uses public funds to protest pipelines

Published on February 19 - The communists from the Carleton student union have come out to protest against pro-pipeline Canadians. One student told me that the student union is using fees students to pay to fund protests, including signs featuring the Soviet hammer and sickle. Fortunately, Ontario Premier Doug Ford has introduced legislation that will cut off the revenue of student unions by making student union fees optional.

Antifa assaults Rebel reporter at United We Roll convoy rally in Ottawa

Published on February 19 - The convoy rolled into Ottawa and made their way to Parliament Hill this morning. When they did, Antifa showed up to counter-protest this patriotic, pro-pipeline gathering. Naturally, I went over to ask them what their message was, and why they came to protest. I was there for less than two minutes before they assaulted me, punched my hand sending my phone and equipment flying to the ground. I have spoken with law enforcement and will be filing a police report shortly.

UPDATE: United We Roll supporters REACT after Maclean’s calls convoy “white nationalists”

Published on February 18 — On Twitter, Maclean's magazine editor Andray Domise called this pro-pipeline convoy "white nationalists."

I asked some of the hundreds of Sault Ste. Marie locals who came out to support United We Roll when we arrived in town what they thought of this smear...

Pro-pipeline convoy makes first stop for the night on the way to Ottawa

Published on February 15 - What I have found unbelievable on the first leg of this trip is the amount of support this convoy has from everyday Albertans and Saskachewaners. Many of them have been standing on the side of the road to wave signs.

This is truly a grassroots movement, one that Canada hasn't seen the likes of in a generation.

It’s not the Yellow Vests! It’s called United we Roll! Official Convoy for Canada! There may be some Yellow Vests in the convoy but it’s not organized or operated by them. Just clarifying.

“I hope they plug Ottawa up tighter than a spinster on rice and cheese….for as long as it takes.”

Excellent.

Excellent news!

I hope the trucks go into the downtown of cities along the route and plug things up – that’s the only way the MSM will give them any coverage.

If the convoy gets some coverage, then it stands a chance of picking up more supporters as it goes through the other provinces.

I hope they plug Ottawa up tighter than a spinster on rice and cheese….for as long as it takes.

How much do you want to bet that the coward will not show his face?
I wish I was along for the ride! My thoughts and prayers are with those who are making this trip on behalf of so many Canadians. It made me proud seeing those yellow vests at the side of the road cheering on those who wish to preserve our way of life! Many, many of us would have loved to be standing there with you! We are with you in spirit!

Why are you the only one on the bus?
commented 2019-02-14 14:58:26 -0500
This is good news indeed. The wannabe rag head PM Trudeau must be upset, to say the least…..OR!
Will Trudeau start to pull his hair out or will he have his tame chief of police putting up diversions that will rout the convoy into ever decreasing circles???
