Is Greenland for sale? Is that crazy? Watch Jessica Swietoniowski's investigation in Greenland!

Jessica SwietoniowskiRebel Correspondent

It all started with a tweet: Donald Trump mused about buying Greenland, and the reaction was predictable!

The world's media condemned the idea as ludicrous and a sign that there's a mad man operating in the White House.

IS BUYING GREENLAND REALLY A CRAZY IDEA?

After all, the United States bought Alaska from Russia in 1867 for $7.2 million! And there was the Louisiana Purchase in 1803!

Well, The Rebel has sent Jessica Swietoniowski to Greenland to find out what the locals think — has anyone thought to ask them?

We want to learn more about that country and to test the waters — is Trump's idea really that crazy? What do Greenlanders actually think of Trump's proposal (and not what the "fake news" media tells them to think)? What is Greenland really like? And what would the advantages (and disadvantages) be if it did, in fact, become the USA's 51st state?

We'll be posting all of Jessica's reports from this fascinating country to this website in the coming days!

President Trump should make an offer to groper boy he couldn’t refuse. Groper boy doesn’t like Alberta anyhow & wants it too fail. He didn’t even mention it on canada day so he shows his true feelings about Alberta & the west in general.

We should invite them to become a territory of Canada !
Max, are you listening?

@ Andrew . . . . still trying to baffle us with BS . . . . lol
Trump was right about Sweden, Trump was right about Iran, Trump was right about Comey, Trump was right about the Border Wall . . . & Trump is right about Greenland.
Trump is the first US President to deal with the thieving Chinese corrupticrats . . . u know . . . Justin’s friends . . . lol
Today the USA is doing very well . . . . Canada is going the other way . . . 0.1% GDP the result of far-left idiocy.

With Greenland being under Home Rule and a Common Law Territory of Greenland, all that should be needed is a Plebiscite initiated by The People of Greenland or Referendum introduced by a elected leader , and Greenland could become a Territory or State of The USA.

As the one woman stated we would not want Donald Trump here. We have everything we want! free Schools, free health care, Free university, but everyone is poor. She summed it up and perhaps didn’t even know why. A perfect example of Social Communism!

You are putting yourself in the same class as Sean Penson with these comments. You can do better."

Really, I’m not going to waste my A material on this, which is just noise.

“Trump as usual is way ahead of the weak minded incoherent Leftists . . .”

I doubt there’s anything so complex there. Trump’s strategies are indeed so complex as to baffle anyone living in this reality. He says silly stuff to get into the news, that’s his MO and always has been. . A month later, the Rebel complies by sending one of their two remaining journalists to Greenland to find out that … it’s a place that exists.

Greenland isn’t a hostile power, the Danes and EU are about the friendliest allies you can get, plus, Greenland itself is far better suited to being a contributing part of a small European country than the US, where, as a territory, it would have no political say as it gets overrun by American mega-corps who pretty much do whatever they want.

@ Andrew . . . “This whole Greenland thing is just chaff.” ?
Another uninformed clueless comment . . . .
If the US took control of Greenland they would have the western & eastern Arctic under their control Which is important if you are concerned about the Russians continually moving further into the Arctic . . . Canada of course is NOT.
Then . . . there’s the fact that Greenland’s known Rare Earth deposits, other minerals as well and of course Oil & Gas deposits.
Trump as usual is way ahead of the weak minded incoherent Leftists . . .

I loathe Trudeau’s progressive Canada with it’s corrupt leader, the partisan civil service. the toadying propagandists in the MSM and the legions of mindless lemmings in the GTA-Ottawa-Montreal who vote like robots for the Liberals. I want nothing to do with them anymore. If Trump has money for Greenland, he can spare some to buy Western Canada like they bought Alaska and Louisiana. The Americans should have got Rupert’s Land in 1870 then Canadian news would only be uninteresting articles in the back pages about a backward land inhabited by frost bitten left wing imbeciles bent on taxing themselves to poverty…

If This doofus in Canada gets back in this year Alberta should become the 51st state. That is a serious suggestion!

Clever bugger that Trump. He’s been listening to Gore and Suzuki and he knows that when the Greenland glaciers melt there will be prime farmland and tropical beaches.

This reminds me of the movie ‘Local Hero’ with Burt Lancaster as the eccentric millionaire wanting to purchase a beach in Scotland.
Only, they wanted to sell.
ps: Donald Trump only has brilliant ideas, not crazy. He doesn’t do crazy deals.

Could build some very good Concentration Camps in the northern parts of Greenland. They would be good for Muslim transgressors, Liberals and Socialist as well. When Trudeau is re elected and Trump realizes the dangers for his northern borders, he will invade Canada and send all the previously mentioned malcontents to these Concentration Camps, including Trolls like Sean Penson.
