Rebel Roundup: Guests Ezra Levant, Martina Markota, & Sheila Gunn Reid

David MenziesMission Specialist

Every Friday evening on Rebel Roundup, we get together with other Rebel contributors to review the week's headlines, from the serious to the absurd.

Settle in and enjoy!

* Guess what? Canada is in a trade war with the U.S. But why haven’t you heard anything about this war in the mainstream media?

Rebel Commander Ezra Levant shall explain all…

* Attention pickup truck owners: If you drive such a rig, then you’re obviously a caveman. Says who? Says Calgary’s Mayor Naheed Nenshi, that’s who.

Sheila Gunn Reid stops in with all the unbelievable details.

* Is nothing sacred? Victoria’s Secret is all about catering to women – as in real women – who love wearing fancy lingerie. But now the transgender community wants to strut their stuff as Victoria’s Secret models.

Martina Markota will weigh in on this 2019 version of The Crying Game...

* And finally letters. I’ll share some of the letters we received regarding my report on how Toronto’s domestic homeless are left out in the cold while Justin Trudeau’s refugees enjoy central heating and three squares a day at several Toronto-area hotels.

Consistency folks.
ANYBODY that messes with Canada should be a target of criticism.
Be it China, Trudeau or Trump.

Charred Remains,
I’m over you.
You don’t define the Left or Right like a member of the Spanish inquisition.
How BORING a tactic that is. Keep going, I’m busy.

The issue is to blame the aggressor Peter Netterville.
When Justin Trudeau & Freeland fuddle duddled the trade agreement, they deserved the blame.
When Trump always said “Buy American” he is to blame as an aggressor against our economy.
Why defend Trump over unemployed Canadians? Freeland is a ditz and frankly can go dance drunk on the rail road tracks for screwing up the trade deal to try and protect cronie Liberals in my belief,
but it didn’t matter who was in power if Trump said “Buy American”.
If he wants to get to China, you don’t shoot your friend. A weakened Canada is by extention a weakened border for the USA.

You are Starting to show some of that leftist behaviour Karen… You didn’t like it when I said you were off your meds so why would you say that to somebody now if you didn’t like it.??

Karen, what about the Trudeau government, particularly Christia Freeland, and the blame on them for not negotiating a deal nor sticking up for Canada.

You love to blame Trump, but Trump is doing what is best for the USA. He is not the PM of Canada neither is he the leader of any other country. He not only does not have any mandate nor any requirement to protect other countries, but he does have a mandate to govern the US in the best manner he can.

Place the blame where it belongs, on OUR leaders for not standing up for our country.

It is too easy to blame Trump and every idiot loves to pile on Trump. I see it all the time. The hatred is excessive and unwarranted from all areas of society. People need to just f*cking grow the he!! up!

The blame reside entirely and solely on Canada’s leadership and no where else.

Peter Netterville,
Most aggitated people are often prescribed anti depressants in many cases. Not saying you, but its food for thought.
We are the second largest trading partner to the USA after China and an ally to the USA unlike China. The USA is our biggest trading partner.
To almost try & sink an entire economy of an ally to “Buy American” because China won’t cut a deal is ferocious in my opinion because of the job losses in Canada.
I don’t give a f*ck what you want to challenge. Get off your ass and go talk to an unemployed steel worker here in Canada, see what loosing their job has done to their family and say again you want to defend Trump because he put Canada in the toilet and flushed.
There are a million ways he could save the American economy without trashing ours.
He can get past our protectionistic farmers. He can get past our electronics & manufacturers by buying half of what he proposed the United States Gov’t could buy. Perhaps the largest sector of steel manufacturing could get a leg up?
Your attitude doesn’t phase me so move on buddy unless yoy want to get down to the brass tax instead of an opinion.
Talk the talk & show me the trade between the countries to make an arguement or go cry into a pillow because I don’t care.

Karen said, “I’m not a liar. If you shoot your friend to get to your enemy, that is ferocious.”

Explain how signing an executive order to buy American is “shooting your friend”?

Did you also com plain about Obama doing this?

You make Trump’s actions of signing that executive order sound as if it is a personal assault against Canada when in fact it applies to the entire planet, to any country who trades with the USA.

So, yes, if you are saying that the Executive order was a “ferocity against Canada” as though it is a personal attack, then you either do not understand the order or you are a liar.

I will not back down from you Karen. Many of your ideas are whacky and if you do not like what I say that is tough shit.

Keith said, "Peter, Methinks you are calling the wrong person a Lie’r. Better to change into Battledress…….Like, now. "

To which comment are you referring?

Damn it Keith,
Give me more credit. I’ve settled in my old age.

Peter Netterville,
I’m not a liar. If you shoot your friend to get to your enemy, that is ferocious.
Maybe he treated Canada in kind thanks to the JT gov’t.
Maybe he has a little more tact than putting down what was supposedly an ally.
Bang, bang, he shot us down.🎶 Bang bang, we hit the ground🎶. Bang bang, our trade partner let us down. 🎶

Maybe if Junior had been nice to the President of the United States as Mulroney and Harper were and maybe if the Dauphin hadn’t tried to play Mexico off against the United States during trade negotiations, we might not be facing “buy American” policies. Just sayin’.

Trump is doing what is best for his country.

His “buy American” executive order is the same as Obama’s “buy American”, so if you did not criticize Obama’s “buy American” executive order then you have no grounds for criticizing Trumps “buy American” executive order … unless you are admitting you are a partisan hypocrite political hack.

Notley has proven that she hates Albertans, not only from the continual insults from her and her child cabinet but also through her policies. I will celebrate when that wicked witch is kicked out of office.

Nenshi is an idiot, yet he keeps getting re-elected, so what does that say about Calgarians?

Karen said, “Even I knew that but I was shocked at the ferocity against Canada.”

There is no ferocity against Canada. Trump never even mentioned Canada at all. He did mention China 28 times.

Your statement is not only a lie, but is the perfect example of hyperbole.

Why do you keep pronouncing the word “women,” David? It’s “wi-men.”

- So Canada burns as Prime Minister Peter Pan fiddles around & Crystia Braindead virtue signals. Don’t worry though, much lie in Venezuela, the politcal class & their cronies will do okay. Better start fattening up your pets.

- The elites used to hide their contempt for blue collar people but as they shut out all offensive (different) opinions they have locked themselves in a shrinking echo chamber. They get out of touch to the point where they think things like post birth abortions, putting coal minors out of work, pickup truck drivers are cavemen – all seem normal & acceptable to them. The more control the elite have, the more their true nature shows.

- Isn’t it every woman’s dream to look like a dude in a dress? Maybe that’s just Rachel Maddow. Just kidding. Maddow dresses like a teen age boy (looks like one anyway). The whole gender theory thing is a crock. Want to debunk it in minutes? https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/debunked-the-dark-history-of-gender-theory/

- Interesting advertising move. Angry illegals & violent staff. I guess Radisson is hoping for a total government buyout at some point. After all, it’s only taxpayer money. They seem to believe that there’s an unlimited supply of that. That seems to be the socialist state of mind. Live for the day & let tomorrow take care of itself. Venezuela has been going through that tomorrow. Come to think of it, didn’t they have a huge oil reserve? Didn’t it basically get shut down? Wasn’t China deeply involved with their socialist government? I can’t help but see a pattern from something I’ve been seen lately.

Not surprised about “Buy American”.
Even I knew that but I was shocked at the ferocity against Canada.
Ferocity. Its pure and simple and Trump wants a wall against Mexico.
These Liberals are just winging it the corrupt way they’ve been taught.
