Rebel Roundup: Guests Ben Davies, Sheila Gunn Reid, & Amanda Head!

David MenziesMission Specialist

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen – and the rest of you – in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies.

* Well, the election campaign in Alberta is off and running. And thanks to her rhetoric, Premier Rachel Notley is already channeling... Hillary Clinton?! Yikes!

Alberta Bureau Chief, Sheila Gunn Reid, who just launched her new book “Stop Notley,” offers her analysis.

* It’s funny, isn’t it? Late-night talk show hosts such as Stephen Colbert incessantly dine-out on bashing President Trump, saying that his policies are harming Americans and America. But the facts show otherwise.

Amanda Head drops by to deliver the proof.

* There’s a leftist-fuelled hate-fest raging right now regarding comments made by actor Charlie Hunnam. You see, Charlie lauded Jordan Peterson for saying things that actually make a lot of sense. And for some reason, this is offensive to the progressives?

Ben Davies joins us to explain all.

* And finally letters. I’ll share some of your responses regarding an Ottawa condo board that has told a Major in the Royal Canadian Air Force that he cannot fly a Canadian flag at his condominium. And no, we’re not making this up…

Problem with “certain parts” of that ideology – Islam? Seriously? That supports the false narrative that those terrorist attacks have no connection to Islam as expoused by Motion M-103 and its predecessor e-petition 411.
(We, the undersigned, Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia.)

The notion of “radical Islam” supports that false narrative. As the president of Turkey Erdogan once said, ‘Islam is Islam, there are no modifiers’. But we fearfully use euphemisms like “radical Islam”.

“At some point some political party is going to have to stand up to the SJWs”

Won’t happen Glen as most of the politicians in western countries are Cultural Marxists now, the ones that aren’t do not seem to possess a spine.

At some point some political party is going to have to stand up to the SJWs and just put up with the “basket of deplorables” witches’ coven curse. Otherwise SJWs win by acclaimation.

The basket of deplorables/shame on you white man platform is not a winning platform…though the rest of what the NDP has to offer (whatever that may be) doesn’t seem to be either.

What a shame that property rights aren’t in our constitution. This is the most basic of rights for free people. The U.S. sure has a better constitution because it wasn’t designed by a communist-loving prig.

- The far left & their media lackeys are selling poison to the West. They can’t do that without creating a cloud of ignorance as well. In Alberta as with the rest of the West. The NDP can’t run on their terrible record so they’ll go to their far left playbook & start accusing their opponents of bigotry.

- Late night comedy has become far left political commentary set to a laugh track. Steven Crowder has placed himself as an alternative to them & has filled that void to some degree. Comedy died with Obama. Any criticism of him was labeled racist. It has not recovered since.

- The far left depends heavily on spreading the victim mentality, the entitlement mentality & ignorance. This is why they hate the likes of Jordan Peterson. Charlie Hunnam may have figured out that apologies don’t work with leftist stooges. Nothing is ever enough for them.
