Rebel Roundup: Guests Kurt Schlichter, Ben Davies & Ezra Levant

David MenziesMission Specialist

Every Friday evening on Rebel Roundup, we get together with other Rebel contributors to review the week's headlines, from the serious to the absurd.

Settle in and enjoy!

* It’s official: GM’s Oshawa assembly plant is shutting down. And worse yet, you can expect more misery for the Canadian auto sector if Justin Trudeau gets his way with a carbon tax.

Rebel Commander Ezra Levant will serve up all the gruesome details.

* The migrant caravan has made it to the U.S. border, and now the street theatre for the media begins. But are these Central American refugees fleeing oppression... or are they opportunists hoping to game the system?

Kurt Schlichter joins us to offer his take.

* It may have been foolhardy of late-missionary John Allan Chau to try to spread the gospel in a very dangerous place. Still, it’s disturbing to see how his death is being covered by the media in certain quarters.

Ben Davies shall explain all.

* And finally, letters. Tonight, I’ll share some of the letters we received regarding my Q&A session with attendees at the Toronto event featuring Bill and Hillary Clinton. Let’s just say this: most didn’t appreciate my so-called “inappropriate” questions..

The U.N.’s Global Compact For Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is separating the globalists from patriotic nationalist governments (chaff from wheat). Sign the petition and alert others:

The e-petition (411) which was the predecessor for M103 had something like 70,000 signatures. This petition should have double that and more!

Dave Menzies why are you starting up another petition when this one, which gets presented to parliament, is in existence? Trolling for possible new Rebel supporters? Better to put all our eggs in one basket!

When Bernier embraced the support of opportunist CINO O’Leary during the lesdership campaign that was the kiss of death and he lost me and I presume many other true conservatives. And now Scheer partners with O’Leary as if O’Leary is the face of conservatism? Can Scheer and his campaign become anymore pathetic?

Re: Keith’s video post.

The more important point in that video from my point of view is not that O’Leary is a scum bag betrayer, but that Andrew Scheer is not paying attention to the reality that he is polling really bad and that the Conservative party is very weak both in public opinion and in Conservative policies.

A Conservative win is looking really scarce right now.

Kevin O’Leary has always been an “opportunist” and people instinctively sense this every time he speaks, whether that be a TV show or a political event… And if Scheer “knows” that he is going to be the PM, that puts him in the same “arrogant politician camp” as the present Fuddle-Duddle in Ottawa… The PPC are having constituency meetings across Canada this weekend and in the coming days… Thoughtful Canadians would be wise to see how things unfold in the coming weeks and months…. I just hope that Maxime Bernier NEVER, NEVER again accepts and “endorsement” from O"Leary…

- GM has decided to put itself out of business with its recent decisions. That said, Canada has become too expensive a place to do business. The carbon tax (which we may as well call the migrant tax) will not raise revenues for the government. They always seem to calculate how much more money massive tax increases will bring in & are shocked when the resulting destruction of businesses & workers actually results in less money coming in. Ford didn’t take a bailout – which is why I’m driving a ford today. Want to deal with GM – cut taxes & regulations & threaten to hit them with a 50% tariff if they’re pulling out of Canada.

- What we’re seeing right now on the US border is the Central American version of Pallywood. There is much wailing & gnashing of teeth from the usual far left virtue signalers. They could care less about the people, of course, & I can’t help but get the impression that they’re hoping for bloodshed so they can call Trump a murderer.

- I had heard of that Island before (YouTube video years ago). If he did 3 years of study he should have known better than to have gone there. It was foolhardy to say the least. That said, I do have sympathy for him & his family & loved ones. The reason that this story got the attention it did from the mainstream media is because he was a devout Christian. When leftists decide to go on a trek through the middle east to show everyone how safe it is & get killed it doesn’t get quite the attention.
