Rebel Buzz: Omnibus bill, the bunny book battle, and YouTube's gun ban

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

Republicans in Congress have delivered an omnibus spending bill that stacks up to my knees.

I love how conservatives are the most conservative when they’re not in power. They bark and whine over spending and debt and deficits — until they are in power, and they start spending money like they just won the lottery.

I’m an equal opportunity criticizer and this spending bill is not resting well with me. I'll explain why...

"Second Daughter" Charlotte Pence has clearly inherited the grace and dignity her parents so beautifully exude. She also is a published author and humanitarian at the ripe old age of 24.

And wonder of wonders, she's a punching bag of the Left.

Pence recently released her children's book Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of a Vice President. The proceeds from the book, told from the point of view of the Pence family's pet bunny, will go to charities fighting human trafficking, and supporting art therapy.

So of course John Oliver, host of Last Week Tonight on HBO, took the opportunity to poke fun at both the book and Pence's father's stand on gay issues.

To which Charlotte Pence offered a remarkably classy response...

Finally: Guess where the last video refuge for gun enthusiasts is?

No, it's not YouTube. It's PornHub.

I'm not kidding...

I will admit I rather liked your joke at the end.

Most gun video’s are instructive and contribute to gun safety. Youtube is out to lunch again.

“I love how conservatives are the most conservative when they are not in power.”
Seriously its enough to make you forget about politics all together.
…and how can any government pass bills they don’t even read? We are no different in Canada.
Just stupid.

Why doesn’t John Oliver donate the proceeds of his book to environmental initiatives to remove atrazine from our food and water sources, if his concern is for LGBTQ is sincere? If he is worried about AIDS and other diseases being reinstated into America why doesn’t he speak up about how it comes up from the southern border. I don’t know about America but in Canada we don’t even do medical tests on people coming in before they are let loose on the general public. Not that checks happen with illegals anyway.

How about the early sexualization of children in schools? Might there be a correlation between early sexual activity and AIDS? There are places John Oliver could direct his proceeds but it sounds like he is just satisfying a spiteful itch and has no authentic desire to help anyone. He’s just poking at Pence because its ‘in’ to Christian bash.
