A 20-year-old refugee who arrived in Germany in 2013 faces an attempted murder charge after barbarically attacking another refugee over $55.
RT reports, the suspect allegedly attacked another refugee, 18, who was presumed to be his friend, in October 2016. It's reported that he came to the victim's apartment and stabbed him in the neck with two knives.
If that wasn't disturbing enough, he then proceeded to bite off both of his victim's ears and cut his eyelids out with a knife. He then fiercely stabbed his victim in the eyes with a pen, nearly poking the 18-year-old's eyes out.
Police were called after a neighbor heard the noises coming from the victim's apartment. The perpetrator was arrested at the scene.
An emergency paramedic who examined the victim right after the attack told the court that the victim's eyelids were “torn to pieces”.
Bild daily has identified the attacker as an Eritrean named Dawit W and the victim as Mustafa H from Somalia. The two men are apparently friends who met in a refugee center.
A decision on the case in expected in either late May or June. Dawit faces a possible life sentence.
