Anjem Choudary is set to come out of prison this week. We already knew he would be given a safe house and would allegedly be "monitored" by the authorities – and now we know just how much it’s going to cost: £2 million… a year, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
How can the authorities really monitor a man who worked with a network of extremists, and who used secret social networks and internet tricks to hide their identities?
This isn’t what we want. We want Anjem to be jailed. I proved that, and not just with our petition; with your help, I commissioned a public opinion poll from a reputable firm, that found that 68 per cent of the British public want to see Anjem Choudary behind bars.
I’m delivering your petition and opinion poll to Downing Street this week. We’ve only got this far thanks to you – so thank you!
If you haven’t already, please sign the petition at JailAnjem.com – before I hand it in to the government! Please share it far and wide.
PS: If I can raise enough funds, I’d even like to commission a billboard in London, telling the MPs we want to jail Anjem.
