Rogers fires radio host for offending transgender community

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, guest-host David Menzies reported on Rogers Media firing Winnipeg radio host Dave Wheeler for offending the transgender community.

Wheeler's offence occurred while discussing actress Scarlett Johansson being forced to drop out of a film role playing a fake man, stating:

“People act and pretend to be different things. Kinda like what you’re doing! Really! In the grand scheme of things.”

I thought it was a humorous and astute observation, but for trans activists and Rogers Media, it's a fireable offence.

Sounds nice, Tony. We went on a motorcycle trip to a rally in Iowa. Good trip if you like 3000 motorcycles and hot weather.

Nah, Wheeler should not have been fired.
Transgender militants doing what they do best.

I have been at my cottage and have only popped in here and there.

Were you on holidays, Tony? Haven’t heard from you in a few days.

How could you NOT know that you would be fired for saying that? Keep that shit to yourself while you work for companies that have support policies for people you don’t like.

Deb – I don’t think he’s win, however, it’d be interesting to know the views of the listening public. That would get him re-hired faster than anything I bet, as I suspect they mostly agree with him, or at least, weren’t offended.

He should challenge Roger’s on wrongful dismissal.
