She is not the problem there because she is nobody (in politics). The real problem is her Syrian husband who allegedly still have close ties with Assad regime, Romania being a NATO member.

“Shhaideh’s Muslim faith is not thought to have been a problem for Iohannis. Instead, the focus may have been on her Syrian husband, whom she married in 2011.
According to the non-profit investigative journalism group the Rise Project, he has several times expressed support for the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and for the Lebanese Shia movement Hezbollah.
He worked in the Syrian agriculture ministry for 20 years before emigrating in 2011, according to media reports and Dragnea. He then served as an adviser to the Romanian agriculture ministry and gained citizenship in 2015.”
“The website HotNews cited unnamed sources as saying the security services had “strongly cautioned” against Shhaideh’s nomination because of the closeness to the Assad regime of her husband and his two brothers.”

Elton Braun—You mentioned the agenda of the Mayor of London; what about the Mayor of Calgary ? With 10% Unemployment, is he still wasting big money on Murals along the highways?

5 Romanian Nationals were just caught a coupla weeks in Ottawa cheating people out of their money with a well practiced slight-of hand.
No sleight against Romanians
- these were the Travellers (as they are known in the UK)—- ..
The very same Crooks that caused PM Harper to make Romanians provide a VISA before coming to Canada. Justin reversed this . Here they are. Now we pay.
Course ,it won’t be as bad as when the Mexicans start claiming Refugee status.

Good for the Romanian president. And now the rest of the world needs to do the same based on all the facts concerning muslim politicians where they are eventually turning democracy into sharia law/Islamification. Muslims should be banned from all levels of politics, security, military, school boards etc because of this and their world wide violence against everyone who isn’t muslim. Actually Islam should be banned from all countries.

Canada should have a leader with the balls to speak like Klaus lohannis.

Ah. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Put a woman up there, albeit Muslim, to distract from the goals of the jihadis. The Romanian President likely has made a correct assessment.

Good for him! I wish we had political leaders here that had the same sort of backbone.

Liza asked, "Makes me wonder what exactly motivated ‘our’ Monsef? "

My guess it is the lucrative pay. Most Liberals are driven by the most corrupt version of greed. It probably did not hurt her motivation that the delicious salary come with a significant amount of political influence … the other thing that Liberals crave … power.

Liza ,monsef is an illegal immigrant ,she should have no legal status and should be deported ASAP ,but we know the mental midget pansy turdo isn’t about to do that .

What other people migrate to other countries and feel such passion for their adopted country that they run for office? Second or third generation I suppose it could make some sense, but even a first generation immigrant shouldn’t be given the opportunity in my opinion.

Makes me wonder what exactly motivated ‘our’ Monsef? Was it a genuine desire to ‘give back’? Hell she just got here, didn’t even plan to stay here. How is it we allow non native born migrants, refugees, immigrants (which ever any of them are), to run for political office in Canada?

Yeah Al, Eastern Europe has still not fully recuperated from the last time they were invaded and aren’t in the mood for it to happen again any time soon. It’s one of the reasons we are so vulnerable. We live in a fairy tale world and have never really suffered. Our forefathers who laid down their lives for our’ taken for granted’ freedoms have all but been forgotten.

Quite interesting that the only real opposition from sitting governments concerning islam are the ones in Eastern Europe. It would seem that 50 years of oppression under communism has left a bad taste in their mouths for any thought of islamic oppression.

Again, I will state: the CPC leadership hopeful who addresses the issue of islam directly and unflinchingly will get my support. I’m not holding my breath.

Funny how the left cries about separation of church and state and claiming that secularism should rule countries , then they heartily embrace a candidate who would make the country a theocracy.

Notice how many Muslims end up in politics all over the world. All trying to take over their adopted countr. Even the dems in the US want to put a Muslim to lead their party. They’ve certainly infiltrated the liberal party. Mayor of London. Tell me they don’t have an agenda.

Vlad the Impaler would be spinning in his grave if Sevil Shhaideh, a Muslim, became President.

Klaus, is the first real Leader I have seen for some time. He has the guts to stand up to Muslim BS.

You deserve a medal, Sir.

It’s refreshing to know there’s a politician out there who didn’t fall victim to political correctness and saudi money.
If it has been any western european country or even Canada you could be sure that that mohammedan woman would’ve been the prime minister and any opposition to the proposal, regardless of how fair it was, would’ve been viciously silenced.
