Rona Ambrose: “We’re opposed to a carbon tax;” It’s “a tax grab”

Rebel Staff

Today, interim Conservative Party of Canada leader Rona Ambrose addressed questions about the Trudeau Liberals' carbon tax.

She said the Liberals have clearly abandoned their promise to work with the provinces to reduce greenhouse gas emission.

Bringing down a carbon tax at the federal level is “the wrong way to go," said Ambrose, who described it as "a cash grab" that "comes out of the pockets of Canadians" who can't afford yet another tax.

Ambrose stated that the previous Harper government had advocated for regulation as opposed to taxation, and Conservatives continued to believe that was the best approach.

Al Peterson like Peter Neville you never read all my comments leading up to this point..

Leviticus you are good taking everyone else to task for not starting a revolution. What are your proposals?

Brent Morton..
As I have pointed out in earlier posts that it is really too bad that we are satisfied with only being a voice of discontent.
The overwhelming majority of Canadians are happy to whine and piss and moan and then do nothing about it and believe as in all things that somebody else will take care of it for them.
I hope and pray that somebody is willing to prove me wrong..
Someone that has the ability to unite the masses within the parameters of peaceful civil disobedience and pull our “civil servants back to heel.”

Sorry I missed spelled your last name Peter.

Peter Neville..
Sacrifices may have to be made to ensure that we have any families going into the future.. The veterans of World War I and World War II made the ultimate sacrifice so that their families would be safe.

“The problem with Canadians is that they think a sacrifice is having to give up their favorite TV programs to go camping for the weekend”

I’m just wondering if that was the only post that you read on this thread because I went into greater detail about my comment.

Brent said, “There is a reason the CRTC screwed the Rebel, the Champagne Solcialists don’t want the general public at large to know the truth, or be properly informed. Now, What can we do to change that?”

I can think of some things, but none of them are … … well, I think you get the idea.

Leviticus 2013 said, "We are all nothing but a bunch of whiners…!! We are simply content to voice our discontent and nothing more…!!! "

We are all too busy working to earn enough to above all the taxes to pay the bills and take care of our families.

There are some really good discussions, and points being made here on this comment section.
As I have pointed out, the Mainstream Media is the enemy.
Except for the Rebel, and RT News, you can’t find the truth in media.
Yes! Believe it or not, RT News is carrying Canadian content that the CBC does not.
I have talked to MPs etc., nothing helps.
There is a reason the CRTC screwed the Rebel, the Champagne Solcialists don’t want the general public at large to know the truth, or be properly informed.

What can we do to change that?

Dear Rona:- Not nearly “ballsy enough” and hence not any more believable than typical Ottawaspeak…

Quick, can we squeeze in abortion, physician assisted suicide, and gay marriage while the going’s good?!

Wait… Ottawa conservatives unashamedly acting like conservatives (sort of)?!

The Trudeau Liberals have a tax reform planned after they finish with electoral reform. It will be a highly simplified tax form:
1. How much money did you make this year?
2. Send it to us.

And where can I get more information so I know what time to be there and where..?

James Scott.. You have the right idea about research into the future and where it is going..
I’m just assuming that you’re talking about the cultureral integration experiment that’s happening across Europe…
Muslims and Christians are like hot oil and water… The oil is heating up and the water is Just waiting.
But do you see what I mean when I said most people just skipped over the “slap in the face”… They are walking around sleeping and they don’t even know it as they are just content to piss and moan and whine. We can cry ourselves to sleep every night but until people get organized under the same roof, shaking hands and exchanging ideas and start networking and branching out nothings going to change.

Isn’t it obvious what will happen with the money. Baby Doc and Butts will take the money and give it as carbon credits to other countries, and invest in useless “green” energy projects.

Then use some of the money to advertise what a wonderful and green government we have. Meanwhile, we go broke, pay a fortune for electricity and heating.

That is what happens when you have a low intelligence PM who needs mirrors to know he is just so wonderful. Sophistry works well with him.

Isn’t it nice to be born with not a silver spoon in his mouth but one of gold. Taxes don’t bother Baby Doc Trudeau. He has a fortune from the numbered companies his father set up for him, and a slew of tax lawyers to make certain he pays next to nothing and at the corporate rate. Meanwhile, or savings, if we are able to have them, is vanishing into an ever increasing national debt.,

There is 39% of our population who voted these idiots in. That is the dumbs segment.

We can all do better. It’s good to get a jolt now and then.
Our freedom is at stake.
For an exercise last evening I spent some time doing some quick basic research.

So Try this: Search:
Germany News
France News
Sweden News
Swiss News
Brtian News
………and so on.

What do you all think is the one main news item that immediately pops up? Common to all European countries? These issues aren’t hidden beneath stories of Trudeau’s socks, or Sophie’s work load or an LBGTQ washroom sign.
If Canadians want to know what our Country will look like when our kids grow older and their kids are finishing up in school, its good to do some objective research.

I’d feel better about their commitment if she referred to Carbon taxing as a fraud and malfeasant abuse by government.

James Scott… My federal MP
(a PC guy) hears from me personally because I walk into his office at least once a month in rant and rave at him and I am a card carrying member of the partisan party the wild Rose.
commented 2016-09-19 20:36:03 -0400
James Scott… Nonetheless I thank you for your feedback.
And For the most part everybody just skipped over it and missed the
“slap in the face” I may have to slap harder in the future to wake some of the deep sleepers up.!
commented 2016-09-19 20:33:56 -0400
James Scott .. That remark was meant to offend it was a slap in the face in the same way that if you needed to wake somebody up or really really really get their
attention ..! However do not be mad at me be mad at ourselves, number one we allowed this to happen, number two we’re doing nothing about it.
The NDP protest of Bill c6 was merely a trial so if we got vocal and we organized and hit the streets they weren’t going to do anything about it to quash any future civil disobedience it’s because in our minds they’ll have us pegged as it doesn’t work.!! but it will work if we continually hold their feet to the fire.
Now you said the rest of the employed people don’t have the time well I’m sure there’s lots of unemployed people that could get on board… As for being employed sacrifices may have to be made for the betterment of our future or nobody may have a future… especially our children and grandchildren.

@leviticus 2013
Well short of quiting work, most of us Rebels I would guess are employed or self employed outside of the non government sector or union type jobs.
Many people including myself probably feel a bit offended by your ‘whine and piss and moan’ comments. You could be partially accurate however. Point taken.
As Rebels (actually all Canadians) what we can do and we should be doing, and many of us are doing is spending time on our keyboards (and phone calls) communicating with MP’s and MLA’s expressing our satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Many of us do that. Hopefully you included.
I have to say the Rebel does a great job of informing readers on issues that lamestream media choose not to.
I think Bill 6 got many of us off our buttocks across Alberta.
Sheila and other Rebel voices did a great job of organizing and covering a very divisive topic.
Sorry ….got way off topic.

Motleys crew thinks there’s lots of room for more taxes. Unfortunately there won’t be anyone to pay them
commented 2016-09-19 19:21:18 -0400
As Bill Elder once stated..
“we do not need leaders… Leaders are for dictatorships, the military, cults and things of that natur.e What we need is elected representatives to serve the will of the people”
commented 2016-09-19 19:18:32 -0400
We are all nothing but a bunch of whiners…!! We are simply content to voice our discontent and nothing more…!!! Everybody thinks things will change if we just sit behind our keyboards and piss and moan about the state of affairs in Canada and make no effort to organize rallies, hit the streets and make these “civil servants”come to heel..

Surely across the country there must be one or two people in each province that is capable of inspiring people out of their homes and from behind their computers to physically demonstrate and make noise.
We all have legitimate concerns and more than the majority of Canadians are sincerely disgusted with our present administration so if anybody has any ideas how to start getting people organized and networked I would be interested in lending my support with my time and possibly my resources.
