Rebel Roundup: Guests Ben Davies, Rob Shimshock, & More!

David MenziesMission Specialist

Happy New Year, one and all! Every Friday evening on Rebel Roundup, we get together with other Rebel contributors to review the week's headlines, from the serious to the absurd.

Settle in and enjoy!

* On the labour front, 2018 came in with a bang in Alberta and Ontario thanks to significant minimum wage increases. Sheila Gunn Reid joins me to discuss why this increase will only result in maximum carnage to both employers and employees.

* Ben Davies weighs in on U.S. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, whose popularity is going downhill fast, thanks to her nonsensical attacks on PTrump.

* Campus Unmasked host Rob Shimshock will introduce you to a nutty professor who advocates white genocide!

* And finally, your letters. I’ll share some of my favourite fan (and hate) mail regarding my recent commentary on things that went unnoticed in 2017 (that will be deemed politically-incorrect in 2018).

Awesome shows David. Rob Shimshock is one sharp kid. I keep forgetting about Campus Unmasked because it isn’t on the Rebel main page.

Big mistake Lindsey Vonn.

Wages should be dictated by the market. What does Wynne, Notley or Justin know about profit margins? Government is simply not qualified to dictate bottom line to business. They don’t know their place. Government’s job, is to create an economic environment which enables business owners to raise wages and add to the perks because their profit margin allows it, not because it is mandated.

My bottom line was, If I didn’t think I was being paid my worth, I asked for more. If I didn’t get it, I moved on to an employer who appreciated my expertise and or improved my education and skills. Even a service worker can become management. There is always a ladder to climb.

When times are tight it is a governments responsibility to ease up on regulations or taxes or at least don’t be adding onto the burden of a bad market. It is clear what Wynne and her coffee clatch political peers agenda is. It is not to help the underpaid worker.

This nasty, deluded professor also created a backlash when he posted this on social media in March 2017:
“Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul.”

- When students get dealt a Marxist idiot like that nutty professor they should get a partial refund on their tuition.

- Socialists have no clue how businesses or the economy work. They take advice from economists who have never run anything & got their degrees from leftist professors who never did anything outside the school system & are using text books written by other leftist professors who never did anything outside the school system. They top it off by filling their ranks with union activists. Is it any wonder their policies are so clueless.

- Lindsey Vonn – one more leftist idiot. If her fellow leftists had their way she would likely be replaced by a tranny who “identifies” as a woman.

MINIMUM WAGE….. WHEN I WAS A LAD OF 14 GOING TO SCHOOL I WORKED FOR STEINBERG’S FOR THE PRINCELY SUM OF 75 CENT AN HOUR, I WORKED THURSDAY 4 TO 9:30, FRIDAY 4 TO 9:30 SATURDAY 8:30 TO 6 THAT WAS A TOTAL OF 19 1/2 HOURS I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY RENT, TELEPHONE, ELECTRICITY, WATER, HEAT AND FOOD I MADE $15 BUCKS FOR A 14 YEAR OLD IN 1963 I WAS RICH. BACK THEN I COULD BY A FRENCH FRY AND COKE FOR A QUARTER AND A PIZZA FOR A BUCK SO $15 WENT ALONG WAY. NOW…AT $14 TO $15 AN HOUR WHO WILL HIGHER A 14 YEAR OLD. WHAT WILL BECOME OF YOUNG STUDENTS WHO HAVE TO WORK TO SUPPLEMENT THE FAMILY’S INCOME THEY WILL BE LEFT TO ROT ON WELFARE. SOCIALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER.

Wynne is way behind in the polls and is trying to ingratiate herself to private sector minimum wage workers the same way she has public sector workers. The problem for Wynne is the real world consequences of her largesse (with other peoples money) are manifesting themselves a lot faster the she anticipated. No surprise here as the former school board trustee has no understanding of the private sector.

Rex Murphy of the National Post strikes yet again with an entertaining piece entitled “Too frigid for global warming? That’s why they rebranded it climate change”. The man is on a hot streak. Climate alarmists heads are exploding across the nation. Cue Andrew in 3…2..1.

Lee Horsman commies always screw things up, history shows this quite openly. Sadly too many are too dense to learn from history.

Alberta’s minimum wage went from $12.20 to $13.60 a few days ago and nine months from now it will go to $15.00. What a great way to wipe out the natural incentive for minimum wage earners with some work experience to spend their personal time seeking a better job where the starting pay is a few bucks more than what they bring home today.
I can’t think of any way to eff things up this bad without electing a neo-Marxist government like the ones presently sitting in Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa.

The Nutty Professor sounds like Carl Marx, to me.
