Russian media hints at Turkish sponsorship of terror recruiting cells

Victor LaszloRebel Commentator

On March 30, Russian authorities arrested a large cell of people apparently recruiting for the Islamic State terrorist group. Russian media hints at a Turkish connection.

Evidence of Turkish-Islamic State complicity grows from financing them through oil purchases, to supplying weapons.

Russian media does not expressly say that the Erdogan regime is behind this recruiting cell, but given all the hard evidence of Turkish support for the Islamic State, it doesn't seem unrealistic.

Considering the Russian attacks on oil tanker convoys from the Islamic State to Turkey (convoys which Turkey cannot admit exist) then recruiting within Russia seems not unrealistic as part of Turkish retaliation.

Yeah, sure. And when Russia has been in war with Georgia they claimed most crime in Russia was because of Georgians. And overnight Georgian wines and mineral water turned from great to garbage if not poison (according to Russian media). And of course during the war with Ukraine (which is still going on, just not in the hottest phase), Ukrainians suddenly became nazis and fascists, according to Russian media (before the war Russians considered Ukrainians “brothers”).

The Russian media is about as accurate source of information as North Korean or Cuban. It’s very similar to USSR TV and is somewhat similar to CBC today.
