Saudi Arabia is trying to be head of UN Human Rights Council

Rebel Staff

Yes, that title is correct. There is a space between be and head. Calm down.

Saudi Arabia is in the running to become the head of the UN Human Rights Council.

Website UN Watch issued the following statement: “The fundamentalist Saudi monarchy is seeking to head the world’s top human rights body, a move liable to be “the final nail in the coffin for the credibility of a body that already counts dictatorships like China, Cuba, and Russia as members, and whose top advisor is co-founder of the Muammar Qaddafi Human Rights Prize,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights group.”

Hillel Neuer went on to say that, “Electing Saudi Arabia as the world’s judge on human rights would be like making a pyromaniac as the town fire chief.”

He added, “It’s time for the politics of oil to stop trumping the basic principles of human rights.”

Saudi Arabia is no stranger to human rights violations.

Well, and Saudi Arabia should be the head of the UN Human Rights Council. Why not, the rest of the UN is … … well, I cannot think of a suitable word to use in mixed company.

The UN is no longer relevant, or credible. It has been over run by tin pot dictators, banana republic despots, radical Muslim extremists, and left wing activists. It should be abolished.

Nothing new. The UN has elected violators of human rights to head this committee since before 9/11. The UN is dominated by its 57 OIC countries compared to its 24 NATO countries. The only value to Canada of membership is to spy on our enemies.

Until our PM is re-elected with a majority later this fall, he would be committing political suicide to stir this caldron of terrorism right now. You know how the Marxists’ will react to anything that makes logical sense, I can feel the temper tantrums beginning now.

As Canadians continually line up to buy food in the grocery stores and at the same time unknowingly support terror by paying the hidden Halal fees that many Canadian food producers tack on to their products – they will also be supporting the United Nations if and when Saudi becomes the head of the Human Rights Council.

The irony of this is so funny as to be sad indeed.

We became a Saudi oil customer when we needed oil

We now continue to buy oil from them – so every time you fill up with gas there is a good chance you are sending cash to the sheiks.

Yup – the UN a corrupt organization that Canada and her citizens continue to support.

Do not say anything bad about the UN – your neighbour will not believe you.

The UN is not run by Human Rights Advocates, it is run by the worst offenders and we need to exit from all funding of it!

At one time, while serving in the Army, I was attached to the UN Military for six months. These guys use a .222 caliber Rifle as their stander Weapon. Our weapons were nine mm (UK Forces) so we had to change weapons. The reason for this was that a High Velocity .222 bullet, if it dose not hit a vital organ or bone, will pass right through you with minimum damage. We, of course, found that if you take a file to your bullets and bias the point to one side, the bullet, when fired would spin end over end. One of these hits you in the arm and it rips your arm off. Strictly against the Geneva Convention. Strangely enough the UN turned a blind eye to this practice, keepers of peace that they are.
It is no wonder they are ready to fall in bed with Saudi Arabia.

Useless Nations…

Canada should get out of the United Nations and STOP paying them

Not much that the UN does should be a surprise anymore, unless they were to condemn anti Christian violence that would be a surprise

Whatever… like it really affects us, really… They don’t bother me, I don’t bother them. And just what, in all reality, can we [Canada] truly do about it, anyways?

Where is the film from some years back of a Saudi princess being beheaded?

Get out. Get out now while we still can.

to see some of the dictatorships and human rights basket-cases in UN leadership roles – positions that entail responsibilities diametrically opposed to their qualifications.

i really hope that they gain the position… they deserve it..

So the nation with the largest amount of terrorist chatter wants to be in charge of human rights? I’ll drink to that! Oh wait….

Yeesh! The UN lost any relevancy a long long time ago. Canadian Tax Dollars should not be subsidizing this quasi would be world band of thugs. The UN is no friend of Canada.

I always agree with what the UN does, so this must be a good thing.
