Scheer follows Trudeau down the feminist rabbit hole

Candice MalcolmRebel Contributor

Andrew Scheer, the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, dropped a bombshell in a recent interview with Chatelaine

"Are you a feminist," asked senior writer Sarah Boesveld.

"Yeah, absolutely!" said Scheer.

Chatelaine is a women's magazine that has written glowing features on the Trudeaus while being unfriendly to the Conservatives.

Sophie Trudeau has been on the cover multiple times for her "accomplishment" of marrying into the right family.

Scheer appears to be distancing himself from his conservative message in an effort to appeal to Chatelaine's readers.

He claims that feminism is about, "the fundamental equality between men and women."

The truth is most modern feminists aren't fighting for "equality."

WATCH my video to see why today's feminists actually strive for a world where men are obsolete, and why Scheer is misguided in his effort to become a watered-down Liberal.

I love when conservatives feel like they are doomed, because their leader is a liberal as far as they are concerned.

Many of you wanted him – now you have to live with it.

When Ezra interviewed him he was very vague in his responses. I knew then that he wouldn’t be a good choice for a leader. We needed a leader with purpose and fire in his belly, and what we got is a copy-cat of the traitor we currently have, who pretends to be a leader. He’s either really naive or he’s on junior’s payroll.

Calamity Marcy said, "Scheer should be just himself and not a media appeaser. "

He appeared more conservative before becoming party leader, so maybe this is his true self.

It would not be an atypical thing for a red tory (or blue tie liberal) to pretend to be conservative until an election is over. In this case the party election.

Kelly Weber foolishly asked, “I guess you’ll all be voting NDP now.”

Not a – - c – - ng chance in hell.

…Justin’s level is pathetic and will only alienate what should be his base.

Baby Doc Trudeau keeps getting this term “feminist” wrong. He means effeminate.

I can hardly wait for him to come out of the closet and then try to visit a mosque.

Kelly Weber -hell no. There are other parties, and i have not given the conservatives a cent in quite a while , that will not change.

NDP Sucks—-Likely he was celebrating for 49 days. Going from House Speaker and Leader of the Conservatives is quite a promotion, or at least it used to be.

Why even bother being interviewed by a liberal feminist magazine. What the hell is that going to do for your profile? It’s not like a live interview that you may have some control over. Who’s advising him?
commented 2017-08-05 01:34:06 -0400
Ron Joseph. I received the exact same e-mail response from Andrew Scheer. I sent mine out on 7 June and received the reply on 26 July. 49 days to respond wouldn’t cut the mustard in the reality I live in.

Regarding Paris Accord; This is Scheer’s apology to us.
Thank you for your correspondence regarding the recent Liberal government motion on the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

This motion was a transparent attempt by the Liberals to play wedge politics. There was no need to revisit an issue already dealt with. It is important to note that Canada’s current greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets (a 30% reduction of GHG emissions by 2030 over 2005 levels) were actually set by our previous Conservative government and later adopted by the Liberals.

Conservatives chose to support the motion, but we have no confidence that the Liberals can balance the interests of the economy and the environment. This is demonstrated by the Prime Minister’s support for a carbon tax, which will increase the cost of gasoline, home heating and hydro. Let me be crystal clear – Conservatives will never support a carbon tax or any other measure that puts Canada at an economic disadvantage.

We are concerned that the Paris Agreement no longer includes all the world’s major emitters, following the withdrawal of the United States. Canada is an active participant in international discussions under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. We believe a fair and effective approach to international efforts on climate change must include all the world’s major emitters and should address both mitigation and adaption.

Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughtful perspective.

After reading these comments and hundreds of others, maybe few people voted for Shear to be Leader; perhaps he received many 4 & 5 place votes which gave him points and his win was an accident.
Why not insist on another election on the following grounds: There is lots of time.
1. 7000 votes were lost and apparently not counted.
2. The Liberal Post Office held back many Voter Forms until it was too late for these voters to send them back for the count.
3. Although there were instructions showing us how to fill out the ballot, there were no instructions telling us how the points were allotted for each spot. (how many points for the 1st spot, the 5th spot etc.)

Sheer reminds me of Vice President Mike Pence, in that he would be good at traveling and putting out fires, and overall helping the Leader.
This Toll Free # 1 866 808 8407 is the new Hot -Line for Conservative people to voice your opinions and ideas. The phones are apparently handled by informed people, and all serious inquiries are forwarded to the Party Executives. M-F 9 to 4 EST .

Feminists used to be about equality. Now sadly it is not about equality, as Candice points out. For Scheer to buy into this bastardized modern third wave version of feminism is ill advised.

“On a scale that exceeds anything since the darkest moments of the Cold War era, a belligerent authoritarian internationalism is corrupting the world’s democracies and undermining the institutions of freedom and the rule of law” from UK to France and from Washington to Ottawa. It is a state of affairs that requires a strong leader to defend liberal democracy in a world rushing headlong into crony corporate fascism.
We need someone to lead Canada by building sturdy global alliances in defense of liberal democracy and its civil liberty against the despotic forces infiltrating globalism, Justin Trudeau is exactly the wrong person for the job – apparently so is Andy (Capp) Sheer.

If you want a “Pop star” cardboard cutout figure to reassure you that everything is just fine and everything is going to be all right if everyone just snuggles their plush unicorn before bed time, Trudeau is your man…. Sheer seems to be mimicking this Polly Anna Placebo. Neither are leadership material because both have stunted vision of the larger picture.

As Candice notes, Scheer hasn’t got the courage to articulate a conservative worldview. He had already lost me when he whipped his MPs to support the Liberal motion affirming the Paris Accord. Just more of the same! As Carole notes, in the midst of the incredibly serious problems this country faces, we have chocolate soldiers led by a chocolate general.

We are facing the most serious problem in this country since its creation. Globalist islamofascists against national identity, freedom and some wealth that we have left. We need a leader with a spine and fast wits to respond to tricked questions like that from our enemy media. I will never ever in my life, along with all of my family, vote for the Libranos or the NDP. If the Conservatives don’t have the courage to stand up for us against the state tyranny, we need another party that is above left or right, and will have some f….king values.

Eric, because he’s a spineless dweeb, that when push comes to shove, he blurts out what the media expects him to say. And a lot of politicians say one thing for this crowd, and something else for the next crowd, thinking it won’t come back to bite them – WRONG!!

This just doesn’t make sense, Scheer is against gay marriage and abortion (even if it’s not part of his platform) and opposed bill C-16 (the expansion of hate speech law to include ‘gender identity’). Why on earth, would he try to position himself as a feminist???

Mongrel….I’m also leaning that way. Had a call from the CPC a few days back, told them they do not have my support and do not call back. Stated to them that they have a long way to go to get my support back and will keep mt membership for now.
Freedom Rebel….nor did i have him on my voting card.
Kelly weber….not a fucking chance of that!

I wonder how much money Chatelaine gets from the Liberal government? Whatever, they’ll never warm to the Tories no matter how moderate and trendy Scheer tries to be. Trudeau has the MSM wrapped around his little finger and the MSM has the sweaty Canadian masses, save for the informed Rebel followers, wrapped around their little finger. Doesn’t matter what Trudeau does, he stays high in the polls. Scheer should be just himself and not a media appeaser. He has nothing to lose.
