During Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ testimony before the Senate Intelligence committee, it was clear this was a man who wanted to passionately defend his good name from the smears, innuendo and allegations made by the dishonest anti-Trump media, the Democrats and former FBI director, James Comey.
Sessions knocked it out of the park yesterday, which predictably led to hours of spin on CNN, MSNBC and of course our own CBC as well.
He chose the option of a public hearing and his performance in front of the committee is yet another blow to what I believe is the complete hoax of the Trump-Russia collusion allegations.
Watch as I review some explosive interactions between Sessions and Democrats on the committee, and show you why Republican Senator Tom Cotton had the best analogy yet for all the accusations of collusion between Sessions and the Russians.
AG Sessions may still find himself the victim of more baseless attacks from the media and the Democrats, most of it based on leaks to the press that have often been found to to be completely false, so it will be crucial for him and his Justice Department to prosecute leakers to the fullest extent of the law.
