Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas area can resemble a three-ring circus with street performers, costumed superheroes, and Elvis impersonators.
But recently, when evangelical street preacher Dorre Shepherd Love dropped by to spread the Gospel and criticize Islam, freedom of expression took a turn into The Twilight Zone.
Watch as I interview Dorre about the incident and share the follow-up questions I submitted to the Eaton Centre.
The one sentence response I received to my five questions was:
"It is not our policy to address individuals outside of our property line, as such we are investigating the matter and will take the appropriate actions with our employee."
This latest attack on free speech must be addressed.
We’ll give the Eaton Centre some time to complete its investigation and, hopefully, apologize to Mr. Love.
