Here’s the skinny: on March 17th, Trudeau made what any normal person would consider to be a completely innocuous and uncontroversial tweet. Namely, he delivered St. Patrick’s Day greetings. And really, what could possibly upset the rank-and-file of Generation Snowflake regarding St. Paddy’s Day?
Justin’s sin was that he didn’t just wish happy St. Patrick’s Day to “all Canadians of Irish descent.” But he also passed along his salutations those who are "Irish for the day.”
And that line had numerous PC knobs going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs because apparently someone who isn’t Irish pretending to be Irish for a single day is yet another example of... “cultural appropriation”.
Really? Does anyone know a single Irishman – sorry, Irish-person – who would be the slightest bit offended by someone donning emerald-hued attire and raising a pint to St. Patrick?
