Ontario teachers’ union demonizes Sir John A. — while ignoring racist Liberal PMs

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

Ontario’s Elementary Teachers’ Federation has passed a motion demanding school boards across the province rename schools named after our first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald, because they say he committed genocide.

With this move, we’re beginning to see parallels to what is happening to confederate monuments in the U.S.

Their rationale for the demand was stated this way:

“… in recognition of his central role as the architect of genocide against Indigenous peoples, the impact that this has on the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, parents and educators, and the ways in which his namesake buildings can contribute to an unsafe space to learn and to work.”

While it’s fair to say that Canada, the U.S., the UK and Australia all have parts of our history that when viewed in retrospect were morally wrong, in this case it’s unfair and untrue to suggest he was the architect of genocide against First Nations.

The fact that Sir John A. was a Conservative and not a Liberal clarifies the reasons for this attack on our history.

Watch as I share two recent articles from the National Post and Globe and Mail that defend Sir John A. MacDonald's history with First Nations.

When we contrast his positions to the Liberals at the time and Liberal Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier’s actions, we see the Liberals were far more racist.

When it comes to the sins of our forefathers committed against First Nations, I believe Canada is on the right path to reconciliation.

What we need to focus on in Canadian society is helping people today, not virtue signalling like social justice warriors about injustices of the past.

@Wanda Orion – “Joseph Stalin” was not the famous dictator’s real name. “Stalin”, meaning “man of steel”, was a name he adopted as a young revolutionary. His real name was Joseph Vissarionovich Djugashvili, which is going to be a little harder to fit onto signs. [Many of the Bolsheviks took pseudonyms like this. For example, Lenin’s real name was Vladimir Illyich Ulyanov: I believe “Lenin” means “man of iron”. Stalin’s right hand man for much of his time in power was called Molotov, which means “hammer”, but his real name was Scriabin; he was a relative of the Russian composer Scriabin.]

There’s another side to all of this.

I mean, if ol’ Sir John A, knew about modern Ontario – especially Toronto and the teachers’ unions – he’d be pretty happy not to have any association with it anyways….

Wanda Orion commented 10 hours ago, “Ontario’s teachers have lost their way.”

That’s because they’ve fallen under the influence of Marxists in the universities, the same ones Jordan Peterson rails about and the ones that are completing the destruction of the family unit with the white male at the top.

Take back control by removing the children from the schools. Maybe, when the “teacher’s Union”is UNEMPLOYED due to not having any children to teach(brainwash). They’ll think twice about getting too crazy with their SJW ways. They can get in the Welfare and soup kitchen line up, behind all the refugees. Who needs them?

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt commented 18 hours ago. “Funny how leftist regressives are quick to import the worst ideologies from elsewhere and claim them as their own!”

It looks from quotes below from two famous Marxists, that this is part of a long term plan. Similar to the long term plan of the Muslim Brotherhood to spread their ideology.

“We will not take America under the label of communism, we will not take it under the label of socialism. These labels are unpleasant to the American people, and have been speared too much. We will take the United States under labels we have made very lovable, we will take it under liberalism, under progressivism, under democracy. But take it, we will!”

Alexander Trachtenberg, National Convention of Communist Parties, 1944

“We must realize that our Party’s most powerful weapon is racial tension. By pounding into the consciousness of the dark races that for centuries they have been oppressed by the Whites, we can mold them to our program. The terms ‘colonialism’ and ‘imperialism’ must be featured in our propaganda. In America we will aim for subtle victory while inflaming the Negro minority against the Whites, we will endeavor to instill in the Whites a guilt complex for exploiting the Negroes. We will aid the Negroes to rise to prominence in every walk of life, in the professions, and in the world of sport and entertainment. With this prestige the Negroes will be able to intermarry with the Whites and begin a process that will deliver America to our cause.”

So teachers are against genocide and demand the purging of all historical vestiges in our past.
Yet they fully support the Liberal progressive left in perpetrating the greatest genocide in modern history. ABORTION !

People who are simple enough to judge historical figures by today’s standards should not be teaching our children.

Connecting politicians like MacDonald and Langevin to the day to day activities of the residential schools requires a sort of Six Degrees of Separation type of thinking . This is fine because using that same type of thinking easily connects The Ontario Elementary Teachers Federation to the residential school issue.
It wasn’t politicians that harmed residential school children , nor was it butchers, bakers or candlestick makers – it was teachers !
At the crux of the entire residential school issue was the behaviour of the teachers towards the students.
So before there can be any consideration Mr. Perjara and the Ontario Teachers Federation should submit a public apology for the harm their early coworkers inflicted on the students. And in keeping with the spirit of the 94 resolutions ( some delusional) of the TRC report , they should promise to never again harm another student under their tutelage.
There are schools in Canada that have been named after teachers. Every province has at least one elementary school named after a teacher. Ryerson University was named after Edgerton Ryerson , a man who believed in two distinct levels of education , one for natives , one for non-natives.
The Ontario Teachers Federation should look at changing the names of those schools . All those named individuals are far more closely linked to the residential schools than any politician in Ottawa.
Ontario Elementary Teachers Federation , have you no shame !

You dredge up a river bed ,don’t be surprised that you poison all the water intakes downstream . You start dredging up purported evils of individuals from history with no regard to context within that time period ,you probably will destroy everything you touch.
As for the socialist Marxists in the teachers union , they should mind their own business. Everything the Liberals in Ontario have done can be attributed to their most avid financial supporters .TEACHERS.

am offended that so many schools, roads, buildings and, presumably, brothels are named after Pierre Trudeau. This ‘turd’ road around town dressed as a Nazi, displaying his support for his fellow socialists, while brave Canadians were fighting and dying on the battle grounds of Europe. My Father, who mentored the elder Trudeau at ‘Sea Scouts’ saw this disgusting display of ignorance and betrayal first hand and related to me the effect it had on wounded Veterans returning from the war. All vestiges of Pierre Trudeau should be removed immediately so that the emotional wounds inflicted upon our veterans may begin.

Ontario’s teachers have lost their way. To me this is evident in the alarming numbers of young adults who, despite successfully completing high school and post secondary education, can’t speak in proper sentences, couldn’t write a proper sentence to save their lives and have never heard of grammar. I know young adults whose high school years were spent watching videos played by an endless stream of supply teachers. Education in this country has become a joke and I suppose it should be no surprise that the teachers and their representatives are now spending their time obsessing over trigger-statues instead of teaching history which few, teachers or students, seem to know much about.

Wow these people are really messed up !! Is there pollutants in that province or mental issues that are responsible for killing brain cells by the millions ! If I become that stupid please put me out of my misery . With all the retarded shit happening in Canada nowadays and these mental midgets throw more crap on the pile . It’s Canadian history you morons and if you do like it then move to a shithole country and change they’re history , maybe try Justin’s favourite countries like China or Cuba , or maybe Nutleys favourite Venezuela !

There is some thing seriously wrong with these Ontari-owe union clowns. For a bunch of supposedly educated people, they sure are fuckin stupid. One might say your classic leftist regressive fucktard. It’s mind boggling!

Only degenerate Bolsheviks want to bury history and replace it with politicized false narratives. The Teachers unions are far overdue for some public oversight. They’re off the rails on the crazy train.

Removing or destroying statues that have fallen out of the favor, is a lot like ISIS destroying ancient statues in Iraq because they don’t conform to Islam.

August 24, 2017:ETFO passes motion to rename buildings named after Sir John A. Macdonald

Delegates to the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) Annual Meeting last week approved a motion that ETFO call upon all school boards to rename schools and buildings named after Sir John A. Macdonald.

The motion recognizes that Macdonald has been celebrated based on an incomplete version of Canadian history. As a central architect of the Indian Act and residential schools, Macdonald played a key role in developing systems that perpetuated genocide against Indigenous people. Passing this motion recognizes the impact this history has on all of our students, but specifically on Indigenous students, parents and educators.

We should just change all those institutions named after any historical figure who wasn’t 100% compliant to the snowflake standards of 2017.
I got it. Let’s name everything after the King of Social Justice: Our Dear Leader Justin Trudeau.
Statues of Justin everywhere. Portraits of Him all over Canada. Justin Plaza, J. Trudeau Park, etc.
Praise Our Dear Leader Justin Trudeau, peace be upon Him.

In that case, let’s pull down Mohawk, Joseph Brant’s statues. According to records, he ‘took scalps’ and he also owned slaves when he lived in the British territory in the late 1700’s. A double whammy!!

Oh gosh, if we wipe Sir John’s name from the numerous schools, boulevards, parks and other “people’s spaces” who’s shall we replace it with? Gotta be a bona fide sjw-approved historical figure with no triggering biases or ism’s. Let’s see, this outta be easy.

Tommy Douglas! The Canadian saint himself ….but, wait a minute…he was full bore into eugenics so that won’t do.
Mao Tse Tung? Nah…he was totally against reproductive freedom and didn’t like other races, so scratch that one.
Oh, how about Fidel?! He’s like a second papa to our PM. Oh wait, anti-black racism was rampant under his regime so he’s out.
Karl Marx? Old enough to be a fossil so there can’t be much to hate there…. but wait…he was critical of Mexicans (he really was, it’s as little-known fact) so he won’t do either.
Hey, how about Joe Stalin? Now there was a guy who treated everybody equally and constantly strove for more effective ways to treat everybody – equally. You could say that Uncle Joe was a fountain of fairness because it truly didn’t matter who you were, where you came from, your race, ethnicity and all the other prohibited grounds of discrimination, Joe was gonna get you and it was gonna be long and painful. Nice short name too. Will fit easily on street signs, playground equipment, schools.
Glad we got that sorted out.

Kathleen Wynne is actually opposing this. I guess she should, otherwise she’d have to answer to Justin.
