SJW calls Toronto subway tussle “racist assault,” but was it?

David MenziesMission Specialist

There was a tussle over a seat on a Toronto subway recently. A young man was resting his feet on a seat when along came an older woman who decided to sit on the seat occupied by the dude’s sneakers, presumably to teach him a lesson.

Just another ho-hum commute in Toronto? Not really. Things got a tad physical.

Some may find fault with both the disrespectful young man and the busybody woman for engaging such a fight in the first place.

However, check out the analysis by Tasheka Lavann, a self-described LGBTQ activist and motivational speaker in a Huffington Post article headlined:

“White People See A Lesson In Manners. I See A Racist Assault.”

Lavann tags the woman’s actions as “the latest RACIST act in Canada – the notion that, somehow, this young man deserved to be harassed and assaulted” adding, “She wanted to exercise her privilege. She wanted this young black man to know his place – probably at the back of the train or not on it at all.”

But the only person making this incident about race is Tasheka Lavann. Watching the video in its entirety, neither of the combatants use racial slurs as they argue.

Race had nothing to do with this. The real racist here is Ms Lavann who automatically assigns blame to the woman because she’s Caucasian and has “white privilege.”

Are these the new race rules the loony left are advocating, that people with opposing viewpoints can only debate if everyone is of the same race, because doing otherwise would be considered racist with blame automatically assigned to Caucasians who have white privilege?

Sorry Tasheka Lavann. If everything is racist, then nothing is racist.

This is the result of the attack on God, and the family unit, and undermining parental authority. We have raised selfish, self-centered babies, who think they have more rights than anyone else. This is a manifestation of hatred, and our society is full of these ill-mannered punks. They are bullies, and hopefully they will meet the fate of all bullies.

Unfortunately, the days of gallantry are gone…and whether it’s gallantry or merely good manners and politeness instilled into children by their parents, or the many other tacit Canadian ideals and standards of behavior, comportment and dress, it’s all going by the wayside along with the Christian moral principles this country was founded and grew on, as well as the rights accrued under our sovereign nation of Canada – which is also being stolen from us.
Welcome to the Brave New World of the Globalists…they’re winning.

There are still some of us who wouldn’t think twice about giving up our seat for a lady…let alone putting our feet on the furniture.

This is more a problem concerning common courtesy, if you read the fine print on the ticket it reads one fare – one seat. Gone are the days of gallantry when a man would give up his seat to a woman, or anyone would give up their seat to a pregnant woman. Everyone is so self-absorbed and self-important. That is society’s biggest loss.

I remember one day getting on the bus…grinning and chuckling as I panted down my seethe…"

Sure, and if you’re not a man after me own heart.
I was told once that I “have a stentorious manner.” LOL…It was on a bus in Vancouver in the late 80’s.
Of course I have also been called a warmonger…

I used to very much enjoy riding around on the subway and streetcars in ‘Trono’ in the 70’s at any hour of the day and night – it was a real education. And it’s probably a good thing all round that I live far away in the central interior of BC today…

To Glenn Craig, wish I’d had tickets to that show, haha. David Menzies does it again, making humour out of chaos. Lavann turned a small lesson on courtesy into a big deal on racism. Nobody, on public transit should occupy more than one seat if somebody needs the one your feet or bag is on, move it. That child was boorish. The lady should know to stay away from entitled little twerps.

Most Canadians have been neutral to race , gender and creed , taking the position that if you don’t bother me, I won’t bother you. But people will only take being poked in the eye with all these accusations of racism and bigotry and phobias for so long until they reach the breaking point.
I resent these accusations and the reactions of people like this Tasheka. Same with this whining snivelling Iqra Khalid who has managed to squelch our free speech rights.
The result is that people who have never displayed any bias or bigotry are now beginning to change their opinions and attitudes simply because idle and unwarranted accusations are impugning their character. Personally I have had it up to here with their constant agitation and false narratives.
Tasheka is nurturing bias where none had existed. It’s a pity she never believed that you judge people by their character and not by their skin color.

As for social justice warriors – I have yet to meet one – male OR female – that would not be improved with a good beating from a small baseball bat.

I hate the term.

It is social justification for thuggery.

First off – before I saw the video and before I even finished the first paragraph of the intro I knew who would be who in the colour regime.

Second off – if the colours had been reversed and both parties had had the same discussion the white would still have been considered at fault.

This is a lose lose scenario in today’s lefty world of entitlement.

Third – if the colours had been reversed and the woman wanted to sit down it is highly likely the white guy would have simply moved his feet. If he even had been so rude to put them up in the first place. We always taught our kids to NOT do that.

“Excuse me Ma’am – would you like a seat?” is what each and every one of my kids would have said.

Fourth and final – if any of you think that my comments make me a racist – tough schitte. I am a realist.

All of the above happens so often that I now expect it.

At Harley MacCartney: Yep, that’s all the dude had to do..sorry Lady…here have a seat.

At Keith Barnes: Yep, the Lady sat down on a seat..not a foot stool.

The Guy was in the wrong. Seats are for sitting on.

What kind of privilege is it when a black man puts his feet on subway seats just because he feels like it? Is that Black privilege? That’s the kind of privilege that lets you get away with something no one else would.

Well if Tasheka Lavann is keeping track of all the latest acts of racism then I guess she’ll be filling us in on all the much more common acts of anti-semitism.

“Tasheka” either never rides TTC or is in drug-induced coma. The ones responsible for by far the highest number of racially motivated attacks on Toronto public transit are the blacks. I either witness or am subjected to racial abuse from blacks of all ages and both genders, every time I ride the TTC – no exaggeration. They plant feet and baggage on seats on crowded vehicles and use racial slurs when asked to move it, they monopolize disabled seating and refuse to move when asked, forcing seniors and disabled to stand, they blast loud rap music, they shout racial insults at whites and others.

I walk with a cane and cannot stand on a moving bus. A few years ago when a young black yahoo refused to remove his huge sneakers from a disabled seat when I asked, I grabbed one off of his foot and tossed it out of an open window while the bus was moving. Problem solved, he jumped/hopped off the bus to retrieve his pricey shoe. Just last week I reported three teenaged black females in private school uniforms who were on the subway swinging on the bars like apes up and down the car while screaming “honky”, “whitey”, “rich bitch” etc into the faces of every white on the train. Behaviour learned from or condoned by the parents. Nothing was done by TTC of course. I was told to press the yellow alert bar if it happens again.

So Tasheka, next time you want to finger a racist, hop on an Etobicoke bus or subway car and take your pick from the racist behaviours I’ve described above. Or just look in a mirror.

I remember one day getting on the bus at the stop on North Street in Halifax just outside the gates at CFB Halifax naval dock yards….one of the busiest bus stops at that time of day….ahh THAT time of day…a few minutes after four in the afternoon…the time of day Joseph Goebels always chose to do his propaganda broadcasts or to play the recordings of Hitler’s speaches….because psycologists had figured out that was the time of day when people had the valve released on a long working day of postphoning their anger and the very worst of their political views would emerge….

I was at the front of the line getting on the bus….the driver was repeatedly saying to a group of people (of mixed racial background) who were standing in the middle of the aisle to please move back….the body language said WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED…..

I went into one of my rants…..when I do that it public (a) people find it memorable and (b) people say I remind them of Gunnery Sargeant Emery….there is just a presence that brooks no bullshit…my detractors call it “authoritarian”….more Orwellian newspeak…

I said…“HEY FOLKS…WE LIVE IN A WONDERFULL COUNTRY OF CHOICES….WE HAVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BE CIVILIZED AND GET ALONG…(and pointing to the cars passing the bus) AND WE HAVE PASSENGER SEDAN AUTOMOBILES FOR THE MILITANT INDIVIDUALISTS WHO AREN’T GOING TO PUT UP WITH ANY OF THAT NONSENSEWHEN YOU GOT ON THIS BUS YOU MADE A CHOICE….NOW LIVE UP TO THAT CHOICE AND MOVE BACK BECAUSE THIS BUS IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE UNTIL YOU DO AND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET HOME WHO DON’T APPRECIATE YOUR MILTANT INDIVIDUALISM!!!”

Not only did they move back…but they showed courtesy to those who should be given seats….the only further delay in the departure was the driver composing himself from his laughing jag…most of those around me standing in the aisle of the bus were grining and chuckling as I panted down my seethe…:-)

Tasheka Lavann is but one example of SJW types who are extremely comfortable mis- labeling others while having no insight into their own behaviour. Turning everything into an act of racism!

I have seen the disrespectful conduct like this of young men here in Calgary. Guess chivalry is dead for most young men. It is a custom (not racism) to give up your seat to a senior, lady, pregnant, disabled.
Good manners go a long way. Would you put your dirty feet on your mothers chair?

OK, everybody watch the video and then we will have a contest to see who can make an even bigger idiot of themselves.
Congratulations, Tasheka Lavann. Come on down.
